    Hello to everyone
Well Doh and I have clocked up 34 years today. We married in 1976 and anyone who was there can remember the longest, hottest summer ever. Standpipes for water, hosepipe ban etc. How different today its still bucketing down here in Sunny? Devon. Poor Pippa with the grandchildren down !
So for a change I am treating him to a night out. I have booked the Riverford Farm Kitchen which should make a lovely change!
Elaine Thinking of you and DS -- Lots of gentle thought. May the time speed by and then all be well. I hate the waiting for difficult things!
Shaz I am quite happy to make you some Curly Wurly ruffly key rings for your Bazaar. Just let me know if you would like some.
F1 Wish I had a bureau you could have -- I am still decluttering.
Kathy BBQ in the sun- lucky you!
    ISOM Hope neck is better

Well DD2 has gone camping!!!!!!!! Mad but there we go! Oh to be young!
Of course she is still getting ready. She is having a leaving do next Saturday in the Rugby Club in Torquay. Fancy Dress with a theme of Around the World. I hate fancy Dress with a passion but she loves it -- I suppose I could always go as a Mummy!

Well DDD1 has started work at the Beauty Salon now she has finished her training. She wanted some hair embellishments as there is obviously no jewellery
allowed. Well I treated her to a couple for passing all her exams but what a price!! So I set to and made this one
    003-1.jpg?t=1282396179
I am going to pop it on ebay for 99p in the hope that I might sell a few to help DD2 with her travels-- You never know!

Well the Footie is on of course and I am making a few more squares for Mrs Twins --- must be missing all the squareness of Operartion Stitch Up:)

As always gentle thoughts to all those with their hands full.
    Love to one and all
Try and do a good deed every day.

RE ‘It's what she want's....so why do we feel so guilty???’
Sorry I don’t have the answer to that, in the odd moments when my mum can remember things,
she just keeps saying ‘please God let me die, I’m just a nuisance, etc ’
I can’t even begin to explain how I feel about her illness and her being in a care home
I just wish I could look after her ...
but some things just aren’t possible and I can’t answer the why question
I’m glad your mum is settled and happy where she is

re ‘Im so behind on my housework - OH has been working so hard and long hours this past couple of weeks’
Try not to worry about it too much,
I always used to have an immaculate home, sometimes staying up all night to keep it right,
but I’ve had to let things go now, since I’ve been so ill,
so just take it easy till you’re properly better!
Re ‘had headache for 3 weeks (1st Dr said it was sinus and if did not go would get antibiotics)
after this time spoke to another Drs who said oh its a tension headache
(I think ive said before because notes say anxiety every problem i have is linked to this grrrrrr)
(it's the same with my M.E.:rotfl:)
anyway not getting any better - felt really weak, dizzy, white bits in throat etc rang again 3rd Dr said well its a tension headache (I said what with white bits in throat yuk! grrrrr) Try thinking about your posture etc (grrrrr) said if it was my sinus i would have a high temperature and feel really ill - I very quickly explained BUT I DO FEEL REALLY ILL - got no where - I swear if my left leg fell off & I had a boil on why b****m etc it would still be put down to anxiety ...’
My OH works 8 hours but also has 2 ½ hours travelling time so I know how it is :rotfl:
As Kathy suggested try the ‘drop-in medical centre’ if you have one, if your local surgery is anything like ours, you have to wait ages 2 get an appt

Hi everyone - I'm going to have to be really quick! A beautiful day here with a lovely barbecue with good friends was followed by a huge thunderstorm that has been going on for hours and hours. My Livebox doesn't like thunderstorms so I shall be unplugging everything in a minute and won't log back on until it's all over.

May - what a lovely lovely post. I have skimmed through it now but I shall really look forward to reading it properly when it's safe to do so. I hope you have a good day today.

Chalky - hope you had a great evening!

Well, I'd better go unplug the Livebox!

Will catch up with you all later.

Hello to one and all -- Lovely to see you posting May Thank you so much for taking the time to think about us all. Will have a good look at the cowl patterns later!

Well we went to Riverford Farm Kitchen last night -- very different and very lovely. You can Google it and this year they are travelling with a field kitchen in a Yurt all over the country so maybe you could have a look whether they are near you.
Antipasta to start --- Hummous, Guacomole. Olives, Fritatta, Salad with Roasted Butternut squash and Home Made Bread
Main-- Guinea Fowl cooked on a bed of pearl barleyl. Sweet Potato Dauphinoise poatoes, Roasted Beetroot and Carrot with Chorizo, Sweetcorn and Spinach.
And the puddings were to die for with a marvellous choice I had Apricot Bread and Butter Pudding and Doh had Pavalova.

The chef is called Jane Baxter and trained at the River Cafe and the Carved Angel. She has been there since it opened near Buckfastleigh in 2005.
You sit on tables of 8 and everything is served on big platters and you all share the food. We met soem really nice people and had a lovely time and not bad for an Anniversary Meal for £22.50 each. I couldn't resisit the cookbook though as a momento.

Well my Mojo is fast disappearing as the days get closer to taking DD2 to Heathrow. I am finding myself feeling very tearful-- But I am always like this, much worse a little bit of time away than actually at the time-- Well tha'ts what I keep telling myself.
I know she will have a wonderful time and I will feel better when she gets to Australia but the month gadding about just makes me worry. Still thats what parents do isn't it!

Anyway no more waffling, lots of gentle thoughts to one and all x
