Afternoon all very snowy here, same as everywhere else I expect.
We are sooo disappointed, we should have been going to DGS 5th birthday party at 5o'clock but had to cancel, weather is too bad and it takes around 40 mins in the car to their house, its a real shame but they understood, others can't get their either. but they do have quite a few friends there for him so thats ok
shaz - glad to hear all went well with the op
f1 - I had a look at your baktus scarf it's on my list for when I have finished the freeform squares over on Rav.
moragtodd - nice to see you back, guess whats on our TV as I type??? yep that green table pesky thing gets everywhere :rotfl:
I do have an update but will get it sorted out for next week, it seems to have spread itself around all over the place
TTFN and keep warm everyone

Thank you all for your wonderful supportive comments. I know that we have all, at times shared so much ... A very mixed bag it has been too. The celebrations are best!!!!! Your comments really mean the world to me and my Doh
We have had a quiet day but actually felt a little bit stir crazy so went out to the Willows near us and had a delicious bowl of soup in M&S.then we had a little wander and bought a few things for William. We are usually banned from too much retail spoiling but they can't tell us off at the moment!
So we bought a pair of Mr Bump pyjamas and a gorgeous sou'wester type raincoat. It felt really lovely and made us concentrate on looking forward to the next generation. So that is tucked away until the next time we see him. He is walking today.... For a quality Street!!!!!
Shaz I am so glad your op went ahead .. Rest up now.
Love to one and all xxxTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Oh William will look like the wee man from the old John West Advert - does he have the sou'wester to go with it ? I have a photie somewhere in a box of DS in all the gear (about age 3) while my Daddy was in shorts and sandals!! no sign of any rain but they were washing down our balcony in Italy..Ha Ha Also I find that bribery and corruption work far better than pleading them to walk.... hope you have a huge big box of QS - other sweeties are available - but if that's all that are in the house keep feeding him them.
xx
MORAG - I too have the green table on the telly - gggrrrr so am on the internet searching out my next project instead - perhaps its a French place thing!!! I think you need to increase your stash abroad, then you will have far more choices .

Hello everyone and lots of love tucked in. We are both feeling a lot better after some catch up on much needed sleep.
Hooking put aside as organisation takes over!!
But I am feeling much more positive about finishing the BIG blanket and will call it the Iris blanket!
Life is strange ... The country has so much snow and yet here in the village ever since FRiday we have had blue skies and sunshine. And the garden is full of RObins ... Mums favourite bird! Very comforting xxxxx
Hope everyone feels like joining together again for a productive new year with Knit Your Square and hope our founder KAthy is feeling much betterTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Morning all, nice day here today still cold and snowy but one of those sparkly days IYKWIM
OH was feeling a bit restless yesterday and he decided to emulsion the living room ceiling....so it was shift everything down to the other end of the room, cover everything over then up the steps splash some paint around then have a cuppa and start all over again at the other end.
He looked sooo tired last night but there was no talking him out of it, ah well like he said he needs to get back to normal again...
He has a check up at the doctors later so he is out the front now clearing the snow off the car.
chalky - ooo we love M&S at the Willows I reckon it's the best one in the country. awww William will look gorgeous in his new outfit and so cute in MrBump PJ'sBribery with sweeties is there any other way
... I can just imagine your lovely village in the sunshine. I love Robins, we feed them little bits of cheese I read in a magazine they love it, we have a nest of them at the bottom of our garden in the conifer hedge I think they must feel safe in there as its quite spikey and the larger birds tend to leave them alone
kathy - I hope you are feeling a little better now and the lurgy has finally gone x
shaz - how's your hand now, I hope you are taking it easy and not trying to do too much
mrs-m - that soup sounds yummy
jean - No more green tables...snookers finished yippee :j
I made Mom a little cotton purse ages ago and her friends have asked her if I would make some, so I have and have sold them for a few bob to help with postage costs. Every time I send up to L/H it seems to cost more so this will help
Off to make OH a :coffee:now so TTFN and keep warm
Love Axx0
