morning all
mrs mp, glad your sons 18th party went well, and didnt get out of hand.
gracie, sorry i cant help with posting pics, but i'm sure someone will be along later who can.
had a lovely day yesterday, apart from the upset with josh in the morn rest of day went really well, including a visit from an old school friend, who i still keep in touch with, but whom i hadnt actually seen in over a year. no birthday cake, but i got lots chocolates, smellies, and a fancy teapot that looks like a cupcake. my kitchen is pink with cupcake accessories, so it goes well.
also got some money and i know exactly what i am spending it on:p, yes its wool lol. opal have brought out a range of sock wool called flower power, and i plan to get some in jan, when my local wool stall has it in stock
hope everyone is as well as can be.
hugs to all

Hi everyone; sorry I've been MIA but it's a difficult time and I am really missing being back at home. A lot is going on there and I feel very far away.
Ginnyknit - hope OH is feeling as well as can be.
Shaz - hugs to you; sorry about the upset with Josh.
Mrs Moneypenny - Happy 18th for your son!
Chalky - so sorry to hear about your DMIL - I hope she is soon on the mend. Happy Birthday to William, too; I can't believe he's a year old already!
Fortunately, my BIL is feeling a lot better; still not eating solid food but he's determined to 'save' himself so that he can eat Christmas dinner tomorrow! It seems that the chemo and the new drugs he is on are making a difference.
Mum is as well as can be but was very sad to lose her brother last week - he was younger than her and had been suffering with cancer for a long time. My DIL1's father had a heart attack last week but, thank goodness, got to the hospital in time and is having tests today, and DIL2's beloved grandmother passed away, so it's been a tough week.
I took photos of the things I made for my mum and grandchildren, so I will try and post them on here over the next few days.
We've had loads and loads of rain (but still not as much as you have in the UK); DH is up on the roof as I type fixing yet another leak. Today, though, is a lot milder and we've had a little sun and no rain so far, but it is forecast for later.
We are just about ready for Christmas although it never seems like Christmas here compared to the UK. On Boxing Day we are visiting friends with whom we always have a real laugh, so I am looking forward to that. They are the people who used to have the pig farm, and have become really good friends.
I have just tidied up my wool stash (it's always gets into a mess when I am working on several little projects. Besides the presents I made to send back home, I've been making mug cosies to go with mugs for presents for people here; it's been a great way of using up scraps. I will carry on doing squares now that I seem to have that particular mojo back.
Anyway, I hope all your plans for Christmas are going well, that none of you is suffering with flooding (one of my uncles on Somerset has just been flooded for the fourth time this year, bless him), and that you all have a wonderful day tomorrow. I'll pop in at some time during the day.
Happy Christmas to you and all your families!
