My Mum just sent me a parcel of wool, and a folder of patterns from her friend at the CS and apparently has another 50 balls of wool waiting for me when I go next week. She seems to get a carrier bag of wool every 3 weeks or so and much of it matches though in different bags, I think someone maybe clearing out a relatives stash - who ever it is its certainly coming to a good home. Last month it was half an aran cardigan and the rest of the wool which sadly I had to unravel. I ended up with 800 gms approx of lovely dark red aran :j

I am now ell stocked for the coming year and intend to carry on production and have changed my mind and will get a stall or something next Christmas when I have a huge stock of finished items.

Crafty love the stocking, its very pretty and im sure Williams Mummy will treasure it for years to come.

Roamin, loving the loomed hats, glad your mojo came back --naughty mojo.

    Hugs to all xxx

Just popping in to say hello and tuck lots of love inside the letters.
Diana... That must be the hardest task but I am glad you are able to do it. It will mean so much to your brother.

I know a lot of people have their hands overflowing and worries on their mind. May the true spirit of peace at Christmas bring some sense of love to you all.

Sorry I've been MIA lately. Too much to do and not enough time!
Chalky - re. cakes. If you have a new oven, have you checked the temp with an oven thermometer? They can be out by a good few degrees. Mine tends to be on the hot side.
If you're using the all in one method, add a teaspoon of baking powder to the flour when you weigh it and it should help. :)
Lots of poorlies out there - hope everyone manages to enjoy Christmas to some small extent. Sending lots of special Christmas hugs in case I don't get the chance to pop back in before the day. x x

    Hi all
Its been so busy around here lately so much going on one way and another...
We have DS1,DIL and DGD's coming tomorrow for a few days we are soooo looking forward to seeing them all :j:j:j

chalky - have you solved the problem with the sponge cake? O and a message from OH been meaning to say everytime I come in here...he loves the churchyard chutney, its the first spicy thing he has been able to eat since the radiotherapy (and thats just over a year now) so he said yummmm xxx ;)
kathy - hope all is going well with BIL and the chemo, glad that your mom gets good days
jean - well done with the looms I love 'em too, Mom gave me a straight one but I just can't seem to get to grips with it goodness knows why
shaz - hows your mom? and I hope you are feeling better now
mrs-m - what a lovely thing to do, difficult and heartbreaking but worth it x
ginny - hows OH coming along? ooo how lovely all that wool some people are so kind arent they? bet your little grandson is bursting at the seams with excitement...just like mine is :santa2:
    isom - hows things?
f1 - hope you are ok
salome - is the blanket all finished now?
mrsCD - know what you mean things sure get buzzing this time of year don't they?
:wave:MrsTwins - off to SIBOL to take a look x

Anyone else having trouble getting into Loving Hands?

I spent a couple of hours last night trying to sort order from chaos in the woolly boxes... dont know how they get in such a state must have a pesky pixie in there ;)

I have been using some stash up doing handwarmers for the girls when they come and I have 'another' bag of little balls so some more butterfly's there methinks :)

Mom gave me a bag of all sorts of ribbon that the ladies in the sheltered housing where she lives have given her for MrsTwins, they come in useful for tying cards and butterfly's onto the blankets, and if they are long enough tying around the blankets, they always look so nice when she has worked her magic on them.

Well I am away for a :coffee: I hope to get in again before the big day but if I don't manage it
HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS everyone and
    Love and (((hugs))) to all
    Ax

hello all :wave: Im on the last lap now just have to make biscotti and roast potatoes, the biscotti are my brothers Christmas gift - he appreciates homemade (unlike his horrible wife)

Off to see Mum tomorrow and pick up all my wool - the boss at the Cs presented her with another bag full today as a gift to me for my support - how nice is that. Think I need to check the car boot is empty to put all the wool in. They prefer to sell my mum the bags full as they are rather than mess about sorting them as its a huge shop and they mainly do furniture - suits me :j

OH isnt too good again but at least he doesnt have an op scheduled this new year like the last 3 years - rather spoils Christmas with it looming. Dgs is as happy as anything, he loves lights and christmas tree's. He came round the other day and helped dress mine for me with his Mummy ( I tidied it up when they left :rotfl:)

Mrs Twins the SIBOl site looks beautiful as usual. I must try and master the butterflys but I cannot seem to get them right.

Has anyone had a look at Attic 24 blog, she has made a fab Christmas wreath which Im going to try for next year.

Hugs to all hoping we all have a peaceful time. xxx
