    Hi all.

Ginnyknit - enjoy your shopping trip!

Mrs Moneypenny - is there a crochet version of that bunting?

I've just mentioned this great new TV advert on Facebook, and someone posted the link of the full version; here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YH9YHX7oJXU

Normally, I turn the sound down as soon as the ads come on, but this one is so good. I hope you all like it - it has a great feel-good factor!

Well, it is absolutely hissing down with rain outside, and it's so dark and gloomy, too. Looks like it's in for the rest of the day, I think.

    Hugs to you all.

A picture of the Lappy I have made up with my friends squares that she has knitted for us here in SPain. She is such an even knitter it was a pleasure. I am taking it for her to see finished as I think it will inspire her to make some more

  • Hello one and all!

Gosh it's been so long since I posted on here that I'd forgotten how to do it! I do lurk from time to time, however.

I just want to say that if anyone has things they've been making for Operation Christmas Child (OCC) and don't know what do to with them, I'd be very happy to receive them. I'm the local coordinator of the warehouse where we check all the shoeboxes, and we always need little extras to add if they're a bit empty or we have to take something unsuitable out. Hats, gloves, scarves, snakes, puppets, purses - anything as long as it isn't stuffed. PM me if you need my address. I did receive some lovely things from some of you last year and was most grateful (as I'm sure, were the children who found them in their shoeboxes!)

I have a page of patterns on my blog, mostly variations on puppets, but other stuff as well: http://puppetystuff.blogspot.co.uk/p/patterns.html .

The warehouse goes into action at the start of November, so I know it's short notice, but that's when items are needed. Last year we had over 7000 shoeboxes through the warehouse, so it's a busy time. I also have to arrange the collections of over half of these.

I've been quite behind with my 100 puppets this year, but think I'll still make it by the end of this month, as I've only 8 to go.

Love to everyone - you all do so much for others as well as providing support to each other. Sorry to have been away so long!

    Janet
