Hello all - wet and grey here as looks like most of the country is - autumn is definately putting in an appearance.

Have often talked about laminators to hubby - someone had one on Freecycle but we were in the middle of moving so didnt take them up on the offer - wish I had now as DS has had one or two little bits for school already that could have been laminated.

I have been knitting the squares blanket posted by roamin from ravelry - the instructions looked hard but I bit the bullet and is coming along "slowly" and I have aptly named it my "around the bend" blanket as I was/am feeling a bit that way :rotfl:

mrsCD - its funny how our little community all like the same crafts - Ive been cardmaking (love decoupage) , cross stitch, decoupatch, and of course knitting - have also done a little latch hook cannot crochet for love nor money but before I get despatched would love to have mastered it ........ hmmmmmm :D so hope you stay and join in with us xx

shaz - hope you have a lovely knitting holiday x

roamin - wish I was there would help you with the old surface damage - how long they staying? hope you are not too pooped by too much "tornado" x

am also just doing two squares to send off to wales for comfort blanket for April Jones' family

ginnyknit - hope OH is a bit brighter xx

pippa - hope the kitchen is coming along nicely and that OH is still keeping going xx

chalky - typing was 11/10 today lovey xx Personally I think you have had too much falling down juice ................:D:p:D have you heard from DD - how is life aboard ship? I really do hope she is enjoying herself xx

kathy - any news on the viewing - have they their cheque book out (everything is crossed!) xx

well i had better go and clear the decks ready for the onslaught
Lots of love and hugs to all xx
PS Oh lord I have rambled a bit .... sorry anyway spoke to Dr today and pushed him on the referral for my Hysterical and he is ok to do it - lord alone knows why he had to wait another week or so .......

download on a pdf with the poem too PippaS..

I am worn to a frazzle and will have to be in my bedybyes really early to recoup.......I was winning honestly - till DH asked for home made lasagne and soup and bread, the Farmers wife down the next road sent us up YET ANOTHER box full of tomatoes - I grow my own and have only just finished making spag sauce with mine and tuffing them into the freezer, so I stood and did the box full she sent up to get them out of the way...good job we like tommy sauce! Only left to make some of Chaulkys lovely apple chutney - I left it especially so that the SIL can assist! No flies on me then eh!
Off for a long soak in the bath - then its PJ time and a book on the bed - and I won't mind at all if I do fall asleep!

Thanks again for all the lovely welcomes :)

f1widow - in your sig you have 7 x OCC items. Is this Operation Christmas Child? I knit and crochet all year round to make hats and scarves for our shoeboxes. If we run out of scarves and we're short of time, I have been known to cut up fleece blankets ;)
I also have made some baby blankets for a Medical Missionary in DR Congo.
roamin' - what a time you've had! All those tomatoes!
