Hi everyone
I have just done the update which you can find by clicking in Roamin in the Gloamin's name at the side of her post, then going to her 'homepage'. Please let me know if there are any mistakes - I know you've been spoilt over the last few weeks because Roamin has been doing the totals, so I'm sure it will all go to pot now that I am back!
Mrs Moneypenny - I've put your weatherworms and keyrings under 'Toys' - I hope that's OK with you?
Elaine - I've put your Aids jumpers under 'Oxfam Jumpers' which I hope is OK?
Ginnyknit - thinking of you and your OH, and sending hugs.
Jean - hope you are resting up a bit. Glad the horse got back to where it belonged. I've just had to shoo a couple of cows back into the field next door and temporarily prop up the fence until the farmer comes round later to fix it properly. The cows put their heads through the fence to eat our grass and sometimes they push so hard the fence falls down and they end up mowing the lawn for us!
Shaz - hope your Mum is doing well and that your knitting holiday is good.
Chalky - how long do you have to wait until your op?
F1 - no news on the house yet but we have two more viewings booked up for next week, so we are still keeping everything crossed. Hope you don't have to wait too long for that referral.
Well, I'm still coughing and spluttering but I'm not really ill, just tired from all the coughing. I can tell it's on the way out but it's really taking its time.
Have a good day, all of you.

Tiptoeing back in .... It has been so hot here.please don't stop talking to me! 40 deg plus today!!! And that was a shade reading!!!
So the gardening was done in the shade. My friend has taken on the task of knitting squares for us/mrs twins. Today I picked up a big bag she has been working on all year. So now I have squares displayed all ready to join. so, as usual I only have about 100000000 projects on the go!!
Pippa.... you did make me smile when you asked what I was hatching!
We have a lovely neighbour here who has been so kind. She is as I type in Granada recovering from open heart surgery ... Did I mention she is 84 !!! So I am crocheting her a Lappy to greet her when she comes back home ...I hope it has cooled down by then!
I always make dd1 a new Christmas tree decoration each year. Picture of this year to follow. But suffice to say it nearly followed the Jan Eaton squares off the wall. BUt now it could/ but won't turn into a little CHalky obsession.
Right I have had 1 glass of vino collapse and decided that typing is much easier. So never mind the op .... The eyes just need lubrication!!!!!
OP has been postponed three times but I think that has been a blessing as now I can't wait to have it done. I am a real scaredy cat in hospitals though. Hate feeling someone else is in control but at least I will be able to thread a needle!!! Nov 15th latest date!!
WHat a waffle but I send lots of love to each and everyone of you xxxTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
f1widow - the baby blankets can be any size you want, but I make them about 4 squares x 6 squares - each square is about 6''.
chalky - last Christmas I made a decoration for our tree from some scraps of felt. I cut 2 hearts out and embroidered a silver snowflake in the middle of one and the year on the other, then sewed together and stuffed and put some silver embroidery thread in the top to hang it up with. I was quite pleased with my make do and mend effort!2025 Fashion on the ration

sorry you are feeling so poorly i hope yuo start improving soon.
ive gone from the prem bodywarmers to baby buntings now for my 50th challenge. they are like little sleeping bags for born asleep babes. difficult to knit but ive sort of got my head round how much of a comfort things were to my brother and his partner so i realise that they do help. brightly coloured 'happy garden bunting' would be easier to knit.
hugs to all and hope everyone is well, ill be back once ive got the boys out to school.SPC~12 ot 124

Hello everyone, very Brrrrrr here today. Had to scrape the car windows this morning as they were frozen .
Central heating is now on as well, I hate being cold. Must be the blood thinning meds I`m on as I never used to be bothered too much. My brain gets even fuzzier if I`m cold and there`s only so much hot cuppas I can manage / cardigans I can wear. Don`t get me wrong, I don`t have the heating at tropical levels - that wouldn`t be mse- just enough background warmth to keep the chill off.
Anyway, reading back the last few days I see lots of poorly peeps around.
Shaz - glad your mum had her op and is on the mend. Hope you enjoy your mini holiday, wish there was something like that nearer me.
Kathy - hope that cold/cough is on the way out. Really pull you down when it lingers doesn`t it.
Ginnyknit & Pippa - hope your DH`s are both feeling a bit better now. It`s a worry when you can`t do anything much to help them.
ISOM - general malaise hmmm....... isn`t BLEURGH a medical term then ? :rotfl:
Probably missed someone out but big hugs to anyone else suffering or coping with a loved one who is suffering.
Been a bit busy here lately. Working daytime, power napworking evening, sleeping (sometimes very broken nights again) etc etc.....so need another holiday.
Chalky - where is that magic carpet. send it foe me asap please.
My friend`s mum passed away last week as well, funeral was yesterday. Her older siblings have been doing the usual `taking over because I`m older` thing, even although she was the one who had to go and clean up her mum when she was incontinent and they were conspicuously absent. Poor thing has had a tough month watching her mum deteriorating and coping with her dad who isn`t very well either. Her husband is a bit of a ticking time bomb as well as he has major heart problems. No wonder the poor girl is stressed.
There`s always someone worse off somewhere isn`t there?
Right, I`ll have to go as I`m told we`re going to Iceland. Yippee a surprise holiday........NOT. A trip to fill up the freezer.
Take care.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

1 Lappy with friends squares finished and it was a pleasure as she is such an even knitter. I am going to take it to show her as I think she will be really chuffed to see it completed .Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Just popped in to send hugs to those in need, lots of poorly people about at the mo.
Mrs MP can I be nosey and ask what the bunting is you are knitting, sounds interesting. Also can you Pm me your address for the octopus's and anything else I can come up with for your fair. I may have already had it off you and forgotten as I am not on the ball at the moment.
Am off out with my darling DD tomorrow for a wander round a couple of CS's and £ type shops. I need to get away for a couple of hours. OH is going to visit a friend nearby and then pick us both up. DGs wont be with us either as his childminder is taking him somewhere nice, she is fab and worth her weight in gold.Clearing the junk to travel light
