F1 - great to have you back!

Shaz - hope your Mum is doing well.

Chalky - well done on the snooker table pocket. It actually looks a lot more robust than the original one (before the rat go to it, of course!). Glad the string idea worked.

Pippa - I am feeling a lot better now, thanks. I still have a bit of a cough (which is normal for me after a cold) but the sniffles have gone, and my energy is creeping back up. Hope the kitchen is going well.

The house viewing yesterday seemed to go well but I'm not holding my breath!

Jean - how's progress on your kitchen. I'll take over the update tomorrow from the post you mentioned the other day. Thank you SO much for keeping it going.

ISOM - hope you are feeling better now.

Chalky, those pockets are amazing, could be a whole new business for you :D

F1 :T:T glad you are back, you are doing really well pulling yourself out like you do.

pippa, will we get before and after pics fo the kitchen? would love to see it.

mrs Mp laminators are wonderful things, I have to laminate a thousand registration cards for the cricket league every year and this one was about £8 from Tesc*s and has lasted 3 years so quite good. You can also laminate those old knitting patterns that are wearing out. I make book marks too, ooh I could make you some for the fair - will have a look for stuff to make them with later. Im excited now at what I can make :rotfl:

Sadly OH is not doing well, the mini op seems to have been a success so one problem less but he cannot really walk far at all now and the pain caused by the destroyed sciatic nerve is spreading. Apart from the hospital we havent really been out all week but more time for crafting :j We go back to the cancer specialist next month and Im going to ask if its cancer fatigue thats making him nap so often even though he rarely sleeps more than 3 hours at a time. He managed a nice weekend with DGs though and little man is used to 'Dandad' going for a snooze. trying to keep positive though cos there isnt any point not doing xx

hugs to all my dear friends here, Shaz I hope you are packing, have a lovely time xx

thank both i saw a laminator in Tes0 recently for £10 but it was sold out, i keep checking everytime i go in if they are back in stock yet. its nice to have a recomendation that they are good ones.

i have a plan to make a couple of nice cross stitch pieces for the cemetrys and laminating them if i ever manage to get one.

ginny hugs to you and your DH, i hope his strength soon returns.
Shaz i hope your mum is continuing to recover well

evening all, just wrote a long post mentioning as many as poss, and its vanished, so the short version, i'm sorry to hear some are poorly, glad others have found more energy. hope house sale goes thru, love the snooker table pockets. hugs for everyone, including the lurkers
and thanks everyone for your support, it means a lot to me.
yesterday mum was allowed fluids, and today she has been allowed food also. she no longer requires oxygen, but is still on morphine pump, and anti biotics, and still has fluids in a drip.
poor love is covered in bruises from all the blood tests, and where they;ve put drips and canula's in. best of all, is she is healing well, and seems so much happier in herself. with the help of nurses, she has also managed to get out of bed and sit in a chair for an hour. hopefully she will be home by friday.
Have decided today, as she is improving, that i am going to go to blackpool, and set back after breakfast friday, so i can see her again friday afternoon.
will pack a bit tonight, and finish in the morning, wont need loads, only going for 4 nites
love and hugs to each and every one of you

Thank you for the welcome. I feel like I already know so much about everyone, so here's a bit about me.
There's me, DH and 2 DDs (well grown up!) in our house. I work PT 3 days a week and DH is retired. I am so thankful that both DDs have good jobs.
I absolutely love knitting, crochet and trying new crafts. In the past I've done card making, decoupage, and other crafts, which means I now have far too much stored away for a rainy day :o

Shaz - have a lovely time in Blackpool :)

Chalky - I just love the nets :T We had rats in the garden a while ago, and were told to stop feeding the birds :( It worked, unfortunately, so now we have lots of bird food that we daren't put out! And we don't see many beautiful birds in the garden any more. One day we might risk it again.
