Hello all you lovely people -- all who post, lurk or pop in sometimes lots of my gentlest thoughts to you all!!

Well what a day. We have had an invasion of fruit flies! MILLIONS!!!

Also it was DMIL'S 82 nd birthday so a lunch out was the order of the day. Why are restaurants so often mediocre a best but she enjoyed it and the view was nice!!!

I ordered one of the selected sets from Masons in the Stylecraft DK. Thet send a selection of 17 balls where all the colours blend. It arrived so promptly and I am really pleased with it. Now all I have to do is ram it in my pull along for my Spanish hooking! DOH is looking doubtful!

Mrs Moneypenny Thank you so much we do not leave for Spain until next Tuesday so I am sure they will arrive. The hedgies are for my local Charity nearby http://www.devonwildlifecentre.co.uk/

So please be assured they go to help a very good cause. Thank you again.

Jean -- Has your head been shoved down the ubend yet!!

  • Evening lovelies...hope that all are ok.
F1 hope that you are ok :) big hugs coming your way as suspect that you are in need of some.
Chalky safe journey and enjoy hooking!
Sounds like people are a bit up and down at present; suspect the arrival of cold weather doesent help but noticed that we've not heard from a few for a while. As seakay said sometimes just good to lurk when you dont have the energy to reply.
Things chez ISOM have been very busy with work as we are in a process of change and things are quite unsettled plus having to get used to new systems/legislation and paperwork but all in all better for the young people when its all sorted. Possibly also going to sell the flat and move so that's added pressure as in some ways easier to stay as we are (two of us squished into my 1 bed flat!) than have to sell and pack etc but we will see. Had valuations last week and now just need to get enough head space to work out if its doable or whether we should wait a while for prices to go up a bit....
Choir this eve with very late finish but as Ive lost my voice was able to sit and crochet blanket for Mrs Twins!
Hugs for those that need them...socky/pfungi/red tractor/dp/psso etc you still there?!!

  • I stayed well out of the way yesterday.........I really was in serious danger of being either - sliced in two with a power saw or as you so rightly point out Chalky head down a U bend..... am out today in charge of all things Farming -next door are off south for a couple of days, so I have book, crochet, lapdog and will disappear over the horizon shortly......... later lovelies
love and cuddles to you all

    Hi everyone

My cold has sort of gone but the sniffles haven't, so I have no idea what's going on with me. My voice has been on and off but I haven't lost it completely like you, ISOM - hope you feel better soon.

Chalky - have a safe journey and a good time. Hope you have got rid of all those fruit flies! Your MIL is just a few days older than my Mum who has her 82nd on Friday; the care home are having a party for her. It was someone else's birthday when we were there, and the staff organised a wonderful party so I'm sure they'll do the same for Mum. I only wish I could be there.

Jean - I don't envy you on the kitchen front. It's the one room that I really hate being fitted, although it's always worth it in the end.

Well, I have a bit of online work to do if I can get the stuffy feeling out of my head.

Love and hugs to you all, and extras for all those who are in need.

Chalky have a lovely holiday away from the lousy weather. Love the new blankets, so pretty. The wool you got from Masons looks lovely, once I have got my stash down a bit - going fast - I will save up for one of those.

Shaz sending hugs and hope you feel better soon x

F1 will be posting you eyes tomorrow, already to go. Not had chance to get to the Post Office for a while. Went for OH's pre-med yesterday and we were cold and damp with numb bums from waiting so long. Just got to get prepared for his op next week, just a little one, and hoping he comes out ok this time. Should only be in over night at the most.

Roamin parcel not here yet but cannot be far away by now. Will be so glad when I can tell you it has arrived, very kind of you to take the trouble xx

Hi Just a quick pop in as have had friends here for a roast so it is now exhausted.com!

I have been promising a picture of the hedgies which I have been making plus such kind contributions from PSSO,Pippa and Purple teddy Bear. I am sure yours will be here very soon Mrs Moneypenny. The kindness you have shown makes me feel very lucky to belong to such a lovely group! And not only do they help with postage and wool costs but the Devonwildlife Centre is a charity and their sale helps boost their funds. So thank you again.

id bought lots of plants for the front garden which was lokking neglected and messy, so i spent the day digging weeding planting and tending. ive bagged all the remainder of the trees and the lovely lad from next door and his mates disposed of the branches for me. i think they are intending to dry them to log for fire wood for someone.
garden looks much better now. and as a reward i knitted while dallas was on so one of the corner to corner squares i found is now bigger

  • Love all those Hedgies Chalky - oh and before I go and forget - hope you have a great trip to warm sunny SPAIN...I know I will get in such a mess and completely miss you going!
Shaz hope the change of meds sorts itself out not to mention the infection YUK - be kind to yourself - you deserve it.
All cows, dogs, chooks, cats, bullock etc accounted for - not lost one -yet - whew.....did manage to make tons and tons of tomato sauce for next door- went to water in their polytunnel and they were dripping off the plants so they will get a pleasant surprise when they return on Sunday - freezer full of yummy tommy sauce for the winter. I ate the grapes tho' - just couldn't think what I could use them for apart from scoffing - he he, I expect I could have got the wellies and socks off and trod them down for wine - NAH its easier and cheaper in the shops.
Off for a soak then popping into bed with a book.........back in the morning.
    F1 - YES YOU.........where are you??????
