morning all, looks like the summer has ended, we have rain in wakefield:(
jean, thanks fort keeping me in mind
I am just about finishing a pair of socks for LH just the toe shaping to do, then i am starting on socks for xmas, as i have had several requests for them as presants.
i have plenty of knitted socks myself now, so i thought it would be good to do some for charity also, as they are ideal portable projects, plus i am addicted to rescueing sock yarn from the shops :o
hope everyone is as well as they can be today
    hugs to everyone

Came back from Mums with another bag of wool she found in the CS she helps in, strange thing is its the same yarn as she brought last month and the month before! Someone must have a huge stash and are bringing it in a bag at a time. Its all chunky/aran so have done some mens hats but now I am seeing a lovely cream throw coming out of it for a Christmas pressie!

Shaz, that sounds like a fab blanket, it should be light as a feather too. I love sock yarn too but have only made 1 and a half pairs of socks and I used some hard wearing 4ply crepe for those. Im not very good at complicated patterns but socks are amazing to knit arent they - I use 2 needles Im that simple :rotfl:

    Hello all
Been dashing around like a mad thing for the last couple of days, OH has been putting a new kitchen in...I persuaded him to just change the unit doors instead of gutting the whole kitchen, really need new wall cupboards though, so thats next on the cards...slowly-slowly- trouble is as I have said before, because he feels a lot better now he goes bull at a gate so I have to try and stop him.

We looked after DGS for the day yesterday he is an absolute delight we love him to bits, he and I did the garden his favourite place at the moment, we bought him a little pair of almost waterproof gardening gloves from the trade place and he loves them, couldn't wait to try them out.
He's asked if he can come for a sleepover one day next week, of course we said yes :j he brings his little gruffalo trunkie packed solid...enough for a week for just one night !!! clothes, books, wellies...mind you it feels like he's been here a week when he goes home, he is such a live wire never stops... but we wouldn't have it any other way, and ginnyknit like your OH it cheers my OH up no end, even though OH is getting better there are still dark day's now and again.

kathy - I hope things settle for you all soon x
chalky - Belated Anniversary wishes to you both xx
    jean - love the scrunchie
psso - know what you mean re: strangling workmates, worked with a few myself at times...never can understand why some people get such a high out of being nasty...a smile costs nothing...
ginnyknit - snap!!! I had some aran yarn given to me yesterday so I aim to sort out all the odd balls of aran I have stashed away and see if there is enough to make a ripple blanket, love doing them I do :)
ISOM - hope you are feeling better now :) Aristotle is gorgeous, OH has just printed it off for me can't wait to start on him

Better go I do ramble on :o sorry

    TTFN and love to all

    :wave:Morning all (yawn) it`s Saturday :j

Had yet another sleepless night here so been doing a bit of surfing and knitting to pass the time. Started a wee jumper last night- the fish and chips/AIDS one - for a change from hedgies.
Also have a really thick eyelash type scarf on the go, thought the yarn from Poundstretchers was too thick for hedgehogs. I only did one and it won`t need much stuffing because it`s so thick on the inside ;)

Going back to bed now to catch some more ZZZZZZZ`s and will get up about...............och, whenever my internal alarm tells me to. The intention was to be out in the garden early - but not this bloomin early - and get the plants I bought the other day stuck in the ground. Bet it`s raining when I get up again.

Will be back later on in the day.

Hi everyone --- It is chucking it down here and who was stupid enough to risk putting the towels out for a blow
    ME!

Lots of love to all. Thinking about you all especially those with their hands overflowing!

Had a very difficult few days with friends visiting who are having very serious difficulties with their relationship! It is so hard to see lovely people hurting so much!

I am making YARDS !!!! of white bunting for my nieces wedding in September. Going quite well but need a break!!! I also have 11 table decorations to do! I am knitting little white hearts to tuck in amongst the flowers. I think that will make them very different from your usual flower shop decorations! Then I have some serious studying to do on You Tube as I have 3 bouquets to make -- hmmmm -- not panicking about those yet but could very soon!If anyone has made bouquets before any tips welcome!!

But before that we have a holiday at Center Parcs next week with all the family and young William who has 2 new pairs of swimming trunks!!

Be back tomorrow before we go xxxxx
Try and do a good deed every day.

Thank you In Search of Me, looking forward.

Just to let you know there is plenty to see on 'SIBOL' if you have half an hour spare! Lots of beautiful blankets have been finished and sent in to SIBOL HQ. They really are gorgeous.

Here's the link to my favourite place!

    Love Suex
