    TARA..........my Shower Scrunchie..........

    dsc01483ta.jpg

    Uploaded with ImageShack.us

    UK TERMS
4 Ply random cotton yarn, takes about 50 gr yarn 3.5mm hook
Chain 4 slip join to create the ring, chain about 60 for the hanging bit slip stitch back onto the ring,
ROW 1 chain 2 then try and get about 40 - 50 trebles onto that ring, sl join
ROW 2 2 chain and do 3 trebles into each stitch on the row below, sl join
ROW 3 2 chain and do 3 trebles into each stitch on the row below sl join
ROW 4 2 chain and do 2 trebles into each stitch on the row below tie off.

I got a bit confused by row 4 and had started it and got quite a way round before I realised I had only been doing 2 TR into each stitch - it worked out fine tho' - measures approximately 4 " across and I can't wait to get into the shower to try it out - AND IT WON'T BE SCRATCHIE SCRUNCHIE EITHER! I think this might just become my next obsession - will keep you informed tho'. I am away to catch up on all the reading of forum - pages and pages of it. best I get a wiggle on then.

GINNYKNIT - PM your address to me - I have 4 ply machine wool in all colours of green I will get a photo of what I think colour you want after dinner?

How cool would that scrunchie be with a bathtime hamper or with a bar of hand made soap tucked in! You are turning into a real hooker Jean xx
Try and do a good deed every day.
  • I make the soap Chalky so not a big huge problem....I see some really quick Ch******s things coming along very soon!
I would do hedgies for you but have no eyelash left...sorry, I have the pom pom stuff - wonder how that would turn out????

roamin, have Pm'd you, so kind of you to think of me xx The scrunchie looks great and it won't come apart like the nylon ones.

F1 I have some chenille but havent a clue what to make with it as it comes out as a heavy fabric when crochet or knitted, let me know what you find to do with it x

Having an early night now we are both more relaxed, Hugs to all, brain to tired tonight :D

lots of sqishy hugs to everyone who is poorly just now, or looking after loved ones, or just feel in need of a hug.
have decided to start a long term project for myself in between charity knitting.
having looked on ravelry i fancy making a blankie made with squares of left over sock yarn.
big ask, but if anyone has any scraps of sock yarn they dont require, could they consider it for me please
    love to all

  • Shaz that sounds like a fantastic project. Will keep you in mind when I get socks done. That first pair was nabbed by DS and he scooted off back to UK with them. Planning to have some on the go shortly - or my tootsies will get cold come the winter.
