Hellooooo lovely friends-- My it is quiet on here just now! Please have a hug if a hug is needed or just keep in a peaceful place if that fits the bill!

Well my little spare room is littered with Mrs Twins squares and the next generation of Lappys is underway. I was really brave last night and ripped out a WIP (that I never liked but I rarely give up on things!! Oh that does SO not apply to Jan Eaton!!!!!) and I am going to use all the yarn edging Mrs Twins knitted squares. Perfect methinks!

Well I have had a lovely day thinking about the lovely visit from Pippa-- So good! And I wish we were all a bit closer.

But we are not so I am sending lots of love to each and everyone of you.

PS -- William went to the baby eye clinic about his wonky eye ( A new health visitor thought he had one and my poor DS found himself huffing and puffing in his defence)and the doctor doesn't think he has one! That is a result so lets hope the doctor hasn't got one either!

Helloooo you lovely people -- woke to pouring rain and thoughts of Pippa and Doh in the van but this afternoon the sun has appeared over the Devonshire horizons ---- so ---- it was a walk around the lanes, a call in to check on DMIL and now a chilled evening working on Mrs Twins Squares. Lots of love to one and all xx

Not managing to do much lately, I can't seem to settle but have been out and got soem more white wool to finish Mrs Twins blankets, just got to get to the post office asap and send them off. My get up and go seems to have gone. Next week we have hospitals and meetings most of week.

Hope you had a lovely birthday mrs Twins, you certainly deserve it. :)

OH has muscle relaxants to help him sleep and low dose, they do not leave you with a hangover and do help to some extent. Fibro is a lousy thing, I have a friend with it and she just sleeps when she can. Fibro fog is common too, when you cannot get your brain in gear and Im guessing lots of people with fibro worry that they have something else wrong when its all part of the same thing.

Hugs to all who need it, especially those with the black dog hanging around, OH has had a bad case of it this week and I feel helpless, I just have to gently care for him till it lifts. DGS is apparently very clever for his age and they have told us all to just keep doing what we are doing for now till Mummy gets to see the next link in the chain.

Chalky thank you so much for your kind thought, I would love to get to meet you. one day I may well do. Glad Williams eye is alright, he is beautiful. I have put some pics of DGS on my blog for you to see.

Shaz -- The gentlest of hugs! Please keep popping in xxx
Ginny -- Your Grandson is gorgeous -- I hope he continues to make wonderful progress. I am sure he will with such loving supportive people around him. He will go from A-z but maybe not in the same order as some of us but who knows the TRUE order anyway! One of the little boys I taught who they diagnosed as Autistic/Aspergers is now studying at Oxford. I think some of todays labels would have been once been called eccentric! Lots of love to you xxx

Kathy-- Nearly there! Or actually I mean here!

    Psso, f1 -- Hi!

Dpixie -- I often think of you -- The squares you sent me were so beautifully made xx

    Kinsey-
    ---Hellooooo xxxx

isom -- I too am busy with Mrs Twins squares-- Lappy 1 complete!

Annakat, pfungi,Salome.Mrs MW,Mrs Moneypenny and lots of MIA'S XXX

Jean You would be laughing at me if you were here. DMIL gave me her old all singing all dancing machine we had it serviced but it would not sing or dance to any tunes I know!! So I rang the man and he told me to check blah, blah, blah! Fairly much double dutch to me but this morning I tried to sing to it again and teach it one of my tunes. After 30 seconds the words became quite rude so out came my 50 year old Singer so now I had 2 machines on the table! Well DOH despairs when the place turns into a sweat shop so had a look and I had the switch on darn not sew!!!!! So now it works !

Lots of love to one and all

Chalky the diagnosis 'eccentric' is perfect for DGs. He has had me in stitches today, and has been in excellent spirits, very calm too. He has know which day is Saturday for over a year now and that means going to 'Manma's' He waits at the window for us to pull up, he has now come to terms with Grandad watching cricket and daddy walking him over to us instead. DD trys to give him new experiences whenever she can, but understands sometimes they may get somewhere and have to go home again. She avoids buses as apparently they are 10 times louder to special people and very stressful.

Anyway he is doing well and Oh seems to have picked up a bit too. he organised a multi team cricket funday and it went very well. All he had to do was make the arrangements and turn up to score. I guess my life is swings and roundabouts but all in all its not too bad - ask me again after the hospital visits this week. Looking forward to relaxing tomorrow after little man goes home.

hope the good weather has boosted everyones spirits a little, its got to help not looking out the window at rain.

Sewing amchines are bu*8er arent they Chalky, mine has a handbook which you need everytime you change stitches and I lost it  borrowed Mums Singer treadle turned electric and I love it sooo much. Had a pile of sewing to do and the belt snapped, so dug mine out and found the book (after 12 months) and fell in love all over again. I even used the embroidery stitches and got a bit carried away, everything had embroidered edges except Ds's trousers - but I was tempted!

  • I am in serious danger of never getting my big swollen head out of the door for a whole week.

Results of crochet trials...the first one is the sideways crochet baby pattern that PRFUNGI posted absolutely ages ago and I have chucked it at various stages across whichever room I happen to be in at the time but was determined to keep trying it....so I now "get it" at present is a mere 21" x 5" so I shall keep going to finish some sort of blankie.
    dsc01469j.jpg

This next one I came across on you tube and decided that as it "looked" lovely I just had to have a go at it...well I spent all day yesterday just on this wee sample at present it measures 8" x 4" - it's a sample - so at least I can now do some sort of HARD SUMS and work out how many stitches etc to create a basketweave blanket.....
    dsc01470if.jpg

my gob is well and truly smacked, I just might give the converse baby trainers another go - there again perhaps I should wait a while! The sweatshop hasn't been touched in weeks and I have withdrawal symptoms as well as the first of a pair of socks on some DPNS that got started way before anyone came to visit so I better get a wiggle on.
