morning all! Well its wet and for the first time I have the heating on! Got a couple of hexes done last night and will battle on until its done! Next project is for me! Not very good at making things for myself so whether i manage it will be a different matter lol!
Looking after a riends baby for a bit this afternoon but other than that a quiet day! Isoke is having a loving day so is coming for cuddles alot. She loves mum as much as me now which is lovely as I can go away without worrying about her. When we go togeather will put her in a cattery (something I never thought I would do) as wont worry that shell feel unloved and escape then!
Psso naughty puter! Nightmare when things go wrong isnt it!
miol Im with you on food shopping - horrible faff it is!
Hope you all have a good day. Hugs for those that need them...

Hi everyone. Very very late for me today; I blame our neighbours for that - to thank us for looking after their dog while they were away, they invited us for a barbecue (and several aperitifs!) last night. We had a lovely evening and, before we knew it, it was almost 2am! It was great fun and they bought us a beautiful gift which I will take a photo of later, and show you. While they were away (in the south of France) they called in to see DH's brother and family who live there. They've already met when BIL came here earlier this year - they had a great couple of evenings with them. Anyway, I'm not exactly hungover but I am very very slow, IYKWIM! We are both planning on taking the rest of the day easy - DH will do what he calls a little light glossing (he can't face plastering ceilings right now!) and I will indulge in some afternoon crochet - it's been a while since I've had the luxury!

The weather forecast is bad but the weather, so far, is very good, so it seems that the forecasters have got it wrong..

ISOM - I couldn't believe it when I read that you have put the heating on! I hope it improves soon.

Well, I must do something constructive so will do a bit of dusting and sweeping, which is about all I can face today! At least the washing is on the line, and dinner is already prepped - cooked chicken breasts and salad, with new potatoes - a nice non-brainer for my not-so-nice non-brain!

Hope you all have a good day and lots of (((hugs))) to all those in need.

PSSO, I picked up a nasty virus last weekend when I was googling knitting patterns. Cost me £50 for the shop to cure it for me.
I'm sorry to hear that folks are having to put the heating on already, it's very warm and muggy here in South Yorks and the washing has dried.
I just finished a school sweater for LH but I did it in royal blue and now it says navy or black for school. I'm sure it will do for someone though.
Have a nice weekend, and I hope it warms up for those feeling the cold.

    evening everyone

got back from the 2 Mums about an hour ago, I am so tired I am sure I could sleep for a week.

Saturday night is Pizza night and it's cooking away nicely in the oven,
Popped in to see Jo my friend on the way home, she has done a load of IS hat's, I just have to sew them up and put pompom's or something on for her.

I had my hair cut a week ago just fancied a change, so had it cut short and spiked at the back....it lasted 1 night and I am blowed if I can get it the same again....never mind it's tidy ;)

ISOM - cat/kitten blanket started last night for you. Glad you enjoyed your camping trip.
kathy - O thats ok the Mum's wont mind :) hmmm IKWYM I have had that delicate feeling a few times as well:rotfl:hope you've had a nice relaxing day and are feeling a bit more energetic now
psso/MrsMW - I sometimes have the same trouble when I pick up some pattern links, and on the LH site, I did wonder if it was my security that was doing it but I'm not sure.
Shelley - parcel on its way to you posted it yesterday

Pizza is done so I better go get it out of the oven before we end up with charcoal ;)

    Have good evenings all

Hello everyone--- Hope everyone is having good days-- Hope you are recovered Kathy
    Pippa
    for pizza -- sounds great!
Sorry people are having nasty bugs in the computers.

PLEA for help please. DD2 has finished her 2nd year of training as a Beauty Therapist and is now working in a salon in Totnes. Her uniform is not supplied and is soooo expensive to buy. Has anyone got a link to an easy trouser pattern which I could download. I had a look at the pair she is wearing today and they are so simple I am sure I could make a similar pair if I had a pattern

    Thanks as always.

I have been busy making a prickle of hedgehogs for the local hedgehog hospital --- so 25 Henry's, Hyacinth's etc are all all ready to be delivere
I also crocheted a pair of Mary Jane Slippers with DDIL the last time we went to visit and I loved them . But I am a nightmare about trailing out to the bin etc in my slippers -- so the first pair have no bottoms left. So now slippers Mark 2 are on my tootsies and they will be worn indoors only!!

Also a lovely announcement from the bride of the knitted puppy saga yesterday. First baby due next Feb (Quick workers!!!) SO I am going to find a little bootee and hat pattern to give them to celebrate the good news.

Well Doh is cooking the tea Crab and Chilli Linguine so must go and lay up.
    Lots of love Linda
Try and do a good deed every day.

Oh, Chalky - what lovely news about the baby. The other day, Serendisglair posted a link to a pattern for a sideways-crocheted baby cardi which I think looks lovely. I've bookmarked it so I'll go and find it. In fact, here's her post - there's more than one lovely link here! Thanks again to Serendisglair!

I can't help with the sewing pattern but there is a Sewing Room thread on here - I'll see if I can find that, too. Oops! I see you've already asked on there! I'm sure someone will be along there soon with a great link!

Hi folks, hope you are all fine `n` dandy today. Or as well as you can be if you have health probs. Have a ((hug)) if it helps.:)

Well had a skim through to see what I`ve missed and .....it went in through the eyes and out through the ears :o not much got as far as the brain. However,

Kathy - you`ll have to watch how much exercise you give your elbow when you have a glass in your hand ;) . It really isn`t good for your head m`dear. Stick to the hooks and needle type instead.

Chalky - Good news about the forthcoming `nappy` event. Another littlie for you to craft for. I see Jean mentioned the scarflette I did last year. Not sure if it`s what you are looking for but here`s the link anyway. I didn`t do it on the size of needles it specifies - don`t have them and wasn`t going to buy especially for it - but I found it was too deep from top to bottom, chin to chest, `cos I only has a short neck and I felt toooo muffled up. Would be good for someone with a nice long swanlike neck tho`. If I do one for me it will be `adapted` to fit.

Other query you had, trousers, what sort of style does she need ?
Lots of the girls around here get their uniforms from Alexandra.
    http://www.alexandra.co.uk/

Pippa - pizza hmmmm - if we`re going Italian I`ll have the pasta please instead. Carbonara yum.

MrsMW - bloomin` viruses are a pain in the whatsit aren`t they ?
Puter was OK when I came off it, DD was on for her usual chat session with her pals and when I switched it on next day it wouldn`t work properly. Wouldn`t let me into my usual sites and kept opening up viagra sites, `naughty`sites and lots of other things I definitely didn`t want to see. Very annoying.

Maytaurus - nice to see you - lots of things to look at again.!!!

Jean - hope you have a nice wee break.

Dogs are barking their heads off so better go and see what`s up with them. Have a good evening all.
