thank you all for your very kind words of sympathy.
we had been told she was only lent to us but she was such a little fighter and was doing so well we were tricked into thinking she would prove them all wrong and beat the odds stacked against her. sadly the fight in the end proved too much for her, but i will treasure the times i spent with her and the love and hope she brought into our lives will stay even alough at the moment its hard to think about much but the devistating loss we are feeling.

hugs and thanks to all of you for being 'here'

    :rotfl::rotfl:YOU AIN`T SEEN NUTHIN` YET GIRL !!
Wait till you see some of my colour combos ;) Well, that`s if Chalky can put up a pic when she gets them all sorted out with stuffing, features etc.
I firmly believe that variety is the spice of life and I`m sending lots of spice to Devonshire. Folks might need to be colour blind or wearing sunglasses when they see them :p

Sun has got his hat on today so I`m going out to play for a wee while. Nothing strenuous you understand. Just sitting drinking coffee, knitting more hedgies (someone on LH would like some for a fundraiser so I`ll do a few for her too) and absorbing the rays ..............won`t be out for toooo long tho` as I can`t sit out in it for ages and the garden is south facing so it`s pretty warm out there already.

Chalky, you asked about the greenhouse. It has been re-designated as DS`s space at the moment. He has his dartboard hanging up out there - don`t want holes in the walls indoors -and the big bench has all his fly tying stuff for his fishing spread over it, a chest of drawers he is `renovating` is there as well as loads of other stuff. I can`t get enough room to plant a few seeds this year :rotfl:

Off to enjoy myself for a wee while. Back later.

I think the hedgies were popular before but now will become collestors items with you guys doing even funkier ones - put your sungalsses on when you open the parcels Chalky :rotfl:

Am off to local garden centre that has re-opened a craft shop in it. I was fed up when they shut the first one down, I tried my best to spend lots and keep it open :D Anyway the new one is a bargain place which has a couple of shops in Ashton and has lots of reasonable wool so am going to stock up. Wonder if they will have flourescent yellow eyelash wool :rotfl:

  • My huge prickle of hedgies is a bit on the bright side too - definitely some that could be termed punk hedgies in there! Some have sparkly prickles - think they may have been sprinkled with some stardust somewhere along the line, but hopefully someone will like them. Sparkly electric blue works for me!!

Will be on their way to you soon chalky, was hoping to get them off before we go away next week, but not too likely now, sorry!

They need renaming 'punk pigs' hey Chalky you now have a brand name :D

went to new craft centre and lo and behold found a discontinued stamp that I had lost! I use 'hugs ginny' as my signature on most stuff and had a 'hugs stamp as part of a set ages ago but *cough* someone lost it!! OH I think, and I found a replacement so happy ginny. I also got a pack of 5x5'' blank cards as I ran out and am aiming to make 100 cards for a friend to sell at a hospice. I made 25 last time and one woman bought them all saying she wouldn't have to buy a card all year, so I thought I had better do more.

Going to sort out all my parcels that need sending in a minute , then start crochetting. Hope you are all having a good day. we seem to be a lot more relaxed here now the stress is over with and OH is pottering about again. Hugs ginny

    Helloooo-ooo, Where is everyone ?

Bet you`re all out sunning yourselves or sitting glued to the olympics :D Some of us have to miss all the fun. Wasn`t very busy at work today so we were all a bit bored and trying to look busy when there was nothing much to do. Could have been busy knitting or crocheting. Have now heard of three new babies due. Young girl at work due first week in September has just gone on maternity leave and I had planned on doing a blanket for her and also former neighbour`s daughter and my son in law`s sister are both due around christmas, so another two to get cracking on. Must get the rest of the hedgies done first though.

Speaking of which - I dropped DS off before I went to work as he wanted to get some fishing done ( salmon for tea -NOT) and as I was passing a shop there was a strange noise coming from it. Nosy parker here had to stop and find out what was occurring :D just as well I had plenty of time before work.
Followed the sound into the shop and there it was............. a lovely little cream fluffy item sitting with some other rather woebegone looking friends.
Of course I had to rescue it. Poor lonely little ball of cream ESKIMO yarn - last one in the shop :rotfl:That`s on the cards for knitting tonight ;)

Ginnyknit, glad to hear things are more relaxed at your house now. Must be a big load of your minds.

Off to have some food now. Have a good evening.
