 Morning all, hope you are well. (Well it WAS morning when I started typing this post )

Kathy I hope your problems and issues are easily dealt with. Why do loads of troubles always come along at the same time when it would be sooo much easier to deal with them singly.
Hope I`m in time with my update, if not just leave it till next time.

    UPDATE

    40 hedgehogs
    2 baby blankets
    2 Aids jumpers

mrsmoneypenny - can you hang them outside for a while in the fresh air, that might help. Or as you say knit it up (if you can bear the smell :o) then a good wash should sort it out, or would that febreze stuff work ? I don`t use the stuff myself so can`t tell youif it works but it seem to sort out smelly teens stuff :rotfl:if you can believe the adverts.

Chalky - don`t worry the 40 hedgies are not all for you...... only 36 of them ;) Have started doing a batch for the LH fundraiser on Barra now. Little J has definitely decided to keep the pink one he chose. His mum now reckons he is getting in touch with his feminine side, which might be no bad thing.
How many hedgies does the lady want/ need, do they sell many over the course of the year ? I suppose if they get too many they will keep for next year. Hmm they might breed.........

Enjoy your visitors this week, lots of snuggly cuddles from William - make the most of it, they get rationed as the littlies get bigger - you could maybe get your DIL to stuff some hedgies is she gets bored :)

ISOM, sorry you`re under the weather. If work is too stressful can you change career or channel your experience in a different direction ?
Don`t have any flowers or flutterbyes I`m afraid so can`t even help with that :(

drinkupretty - welcome aboard. Innocent smoothie hats are great for using up little bits and bobs aren`t they ? Happy knitting.

Housew**k is calling so best get it done and then more time for hedgies :D

You know those days when you really don't want to get yourself out of bed, well thats today but I did it :j well not quite jumping up and down :rotfl:

Got a list of things to do and Im flipping well going to do them! Then I can knit, or crochet or sew - my machine is sat on the table waiting for round 2. Did a few necessities yesterday, next Im going to make some little shopping bags for kiddies and some cushions for DGS. Dd bought him a quilt cover from fleabay but its an odd size and shape so we got a couple of pillows from Ikea and I cut them in half and made 4 cushions. It works out cheaper than the cushion pads and they are fuller too. I dont thing the filling is any good for my toys though as its a bit too fluffy and I cannot seem to get any reasonably priced stuffing anywhere ??

Time seems to be running away with itself here but have lots of finished things to post so must get in gear - its on my list :D

    afternoon all

I have had a lovely day so far, MrsTwins picked me up and we went off to visit 2 sheltered housing residencies.
The first was a return vistit so we knew the drill IYKWIM, and we delivered blankets to people who for one reason or another weren't in the lounge first time around.

The second was just on spec Sue rang a couple of weeks ago and as we were in the area thought we would pop in and have a chat.
We were met by the Manager who was very nice and she took us to the lounge and Sue told them about SIBOL, they just couldn't believe the blankets they were beautiful, as they all are, there weren't many ladies there so we are going on Friday morning with more blankets.
If you would like to see some of the blankets please pop over to SIBOL

Hello and welcome drinkupretty anything you want to know just ask.Innocent Smoothie hats are a good place to start:)
ISOM - MrsTwins has lots of butterflys which she attaches to the blankets when she does the finishing touches, so please don't worry about them. But if you want to have a go I will e'mail the pattern to you, they are really easy and look so pretty when they are done. Just let me know :)
chalky - I've got the bags of squares for you from MrsTwins, must make sure they go in the car when we come down next week. How lovely no wonder you're so excited, I always think the house takes on a whole new feel when a little one is around :j
mrs-moneypenny - I had some yarn given to me a while ago and the cigarette smell was really strong, so I hung it outside for a couple of days in a mesh washing bag, and let the wind blow through it, wasn't quite so bad, then I put the bag plus yarn inside an old pillow case and put it through the wash that seemed to do the trick.

Off for a look at the Olympics, and do something woolly.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts. They make such a difference. I am a bit preoccupied at the moment, but I'm sure things will be sorted out in time.

Ginnyknit - you are so right; sometimes the load does get heavy. Sometimes, when we are feeling strong, I think we can all deal with heavy loads, but at other times we can't.

Pippa - I gave you too many hedgies because I couldn't read my own writing! I'm sorry about that, and will put it right tomorrow, and add PSSO's totals, too.

Mrs Moneypenny - you could start another topic on the OS board about how to get the smell of cigarette smoke out of wool. I have a feeling it's been asked on there before, so Im sure you'll get lots of advice. I've just read Pippa's advice, which I think is really good, so I would try that. Keeping the wool in a pillowcase while it's iin the wash is the perfect solution! Thanks for asking about BIL - he is at the hospital now discussing his next round of chemo, which we think will be tablets. I hope to hear more later this evening.

Will post on here when I've put Pippa's hedgies right, and added PSSO's totals.

Lots of hugs to you all, including those MIA, and all who are carrying a heavy load today.
