Hi everyone
I've completed the update now and hope that it's all in order. I've added all the totals that have been posted to date, including those that were posted yesterday, and put your Hedgies right, Pippa - sorry about that! Drinkupretty - your name and total is on the update, but not yet in alphabetical order.
The update can be found by clicking into Roamin in the Gloamin's name at the side of her post, then going to her 'homepage'.
ISOM - I hope things become less stressful for you, especially the sniping - there's nothing more guaranteed to bring you down than that, is there, especially at work where you spend so much of your time. Unload here any time you want.
My BIL has started his new course of chemo, in tablet form this time. He was given the choice of intravenous or tablets, so this way means he doesn't have to stay in hospital. He now has to take twelve tablets a day for the chemo, and a load more to help with the side effects, so we are really keeping our fingers crossed. He remains as positive and cheerful as ever, which makes it so much easier for everyone, especially my sister; even the hospital staff have commented on his attitude. Talking to him it's easy to forget that he's terminally ill, and I'm so pleased that he's the way he is. He insisted on doing all the heavy moving when my mum moved, and no-one could tell him not to, bless him.
My mum is settling down into the routine of the care home now; it's been a traumatic few weeks for everyone, but hopefully things will be good for her. She has had an assessment to see how she's been doing, and to make sure she's in the right place, and the staff at the home say she is well-liked and gets on with everyone, staff and residents, so we feel a lot happier now that the right decision was made. She has her own phone now, so we can keep in touch with her at any time, although finding her in her room is difficult because the home keep the residents busy and occupied, and not with things like bingo but art projects, music, singing and dancing, and all the things that so many older people still enjoy.
I hope you all have a good day.

Just popping in with lots of love for everyone. We were away at a wedding party in Dorset all weekend and now William and DS and DDIL have arrived so I will hopefully have my hands full.
I have only had chance to skim back but once again thank you so much for hedgies. They email me when they want more and one of her main suppliers of other types of fabric hedgies has gone bust so the woolly ones are selling in double quick time.
I use the pennies from them to help towards buying wool for Operation Stitch up and at the moment Mrs Twins is sending a big bag of squares (250 I think!) to be made into blankets. I think her stash squares, particularly knitted ones had become enormous and a little overwhelming. I also use the pennies for postage for all the blankets going to Mrs Twins. If anyone sending hedgies would like some stamps to cover postage costs please ask as that is the way all the goodness keeps going round.Postage is a lot these days so I would be more than willing to send some stamps back to say Thank You. And what a lot of goodness there is here on this thread.
I know many have really difficult times at the moment and I really do send my love and the gentlest thoughts through the keyboard to you all.Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Morning all (just)
Was a bit drizzly earlier but seems to have stopped now and the sun is making an appearance.
chalky - have PM'd you
kathy - sounds like Mum is settling down nicely in her new home, that will be less of a worry for you all.
ISOM - good, it will be ready for when you want to have a go. I always think a lot of the sniping is down to pure jealousy
Started edging off squares last night ready to crochet/stitch together for a MrsTwins blanket...lovely squares people have done...really enjoying doing it as well...
Off out now might be back later

Flying in - between being Dave the builders assistant.....Family still here for another 10 days or perhaps longer - depending on the building works. I popped in here and noticed that the spready was all out of sorts so I have been in and tweeked it for you Kathy, I had intended having a direct chat on the phone about how to do it and ran out of time before I even looked out your number - let alone dialled it!!! I do try and log in most days but don't get the chance to do very much posting. By this stage in the visit I am also worn to a frazzle trying to think of things to cook for lunch and dinners GGGRRRR.
Sending you all lots of love and hugs and I promise just as soon as I am given a bit of pooter time to myself I will be popping back - loads of knitting crocheting and sewing NOT BEING DONE AT PRESENT by me but again I will get back to it with a vengeance soon as I get the opportunity.

Have started packing for our trip down to the caravan in Devon, I always pack far too much (don't wear half of it either) and as its a touring van storage is limited, I always vow to take less every time we go but well you know how it is, I might NEED something I haven't packed
Made a few little things last night butterfly's, hedgies and I found some black sparkly wool so I will try out some handwarmers for the girls Christmas Fayre at school.
Love to all

Good Morning everybody -- Young William is having his morning sleep-- It is so lovely having him here--- really enjoying this Grandma club!
Purple Teddy Bear and PSSO -- The hedgies have landed. Thank you so much. I am having so much fun stuffing them and bringing them to life. I am so grateful to you as having them arrive flat packed is helping me so much to climb the hedgie hill!
Thank you for anymore snuffling there way to Devon -- I don't mind how they come, any are most welcome and please pop a card in if you would like me to pop some stamps in the post to cover your postage costs.
Looking forward to seeing you next week Pippa -- the sun has come out today!!
