Hi everyone. I've been having internet problems again, with an intermittent connection that has been driving me mad! It's made difficult to get any work done, let alone anything else. Anyway, it seems to be OK now, so I shall keep my fingers crossed! I also had a bad fall the other day. I was racing round the supermarket; they've just laid a new floor down at the entrance, and I went skidding across it! I ended up with a twisted ankle, two grazed knees and a grazed elbow! Luckily, someone helped me up, or I'd have felt even more daft that I already did!
My woolly mojo seems to have taken a back seat again; it's been a strange kind of year so far that way. I don't know why unless it's because I'm doing so much writing for work that I'm getting more tired. It seems that a lot of mojos are AWOL at the moment, though.
Orkney Star - good to hear from you again. Of course we all remember you! I hope things are going well.
Shaz - have a great time.
Chalky - that's a lovely photo of William.
F1 - glad that DS got the OK for the trip! Good luck with all the packing!
Mrs Moneypenny - hope the twins are both OK?
Elaine and Jean - it wmust have been wonderful to meet up!
I'll try and bring the spreadsheet up to date as soon as I can.
Here's hoping I have more reliable connection this week.
Take care, everyone.

really busy and mixed emotions weekend my youngest DD moved out i love her and her BF to bits and i know they are not far away and will be happy together but it really does seem strange standing in her now half empty room. Bless her we gave her a lift with some of the heavy moving but DH seemed a bit 'lost' h er BF came round sunday afternoon and said they couldnt work out how to get the heating to work so could he look for them. DH went round sorted and DD and BF admitting to me last night they felt they had to find something for him to do to prove DD still needed her Dad to look after her.
managed to get free tickets to see guns n roses saturday night, thin lizzy were supporting, it was brillint but they didnt get off stage till 1.30AM so we didnt get to bed till 3AM sunday morning!!! took middle DD and elder DS with us great night, youngest DS stayed with younest DD and BF so it all worked out in the end.

hi all, rather fed up with the weather here at the moment - its still raining and cold and windy (35km per hour winds) and i am so grumpy that i put on the wood fire just to lift my spirits a bit. what was worse was that my OH phoned from the UK and said that they were having good weather and were going to take a walk to the marina and buy some fresh fish for lunch - whilst i am too cold and lazy to go to the car, open the gates, move the car, close the gates and go shopping (and then do it all over again). so no fresh fish for my lunch or tea - perhaps a sandwich for me or some soup.
crocheting is coming along - am watching some old dvd's from a friend and am crocheting whilst watching. its cozy in front of the fire, but the cold is making me hungry and i think i have cabin fever - haven't been out all day.
kathy, sorry to hear about your fall. hope that you are feeling tip top soon.
everyone else, its lovely to see your posts and it makes me smile to see that you are trying to find your mojo's - what will i do when i get bored of the hexagon jumpers - probably have to come knocking on your doors!
have a great day

Hello to one and all and lots of love tucked in!!
Firstly thank you all for lovely comments about the edible William!
And,yes, my heart does melt!!
Kathy! --OUCH! I do hope you are feeling a little less bumped and bruised today. What a horrible thing to happen. I think your mind must be very full right now with thoughts of Mum!
F1-- You should be patting yourself on the back very loudly. Those pots have made the move seem a little less like the bottom of a financial pit! I think you should get some glass paints andpretty them up ready to fill in your new home!
Talking of pots I just found our money box tucked away and every week we put £2 in the UK and 2 Euros here away and I had forgotten that the one here had 40 Euros in from our long stay before Christmas. Lovely! We are going to the Alpuharas at the end of the week for a treat and the hotel with breakfast is 50 Euros so that is nearly covered-- Perfect!
Mrs M What a lovely thoughtful pair-- No wonder you are missing them and I know Dad will be too!
]Shaz -- Have a lovely time!
Dpixie Hope your peace and contentment Mojo comes back soon!
Orkney Star-- It is lovely to see you posting again!

pippa - not missing my wooly mojo, so have not taken the chocolate advice - have just eaten everything else in the house instead - the chocolate bar is still pristine and new and untouched (how good of me), but just about everything else (except the healthy stuff) is gone!
its still raining, but with the fire on, its a much better experience, except, the poor cows look so unhappy and the horses in the field below keep trying to hid in the woods, they are absolutely soaked and cold, i am sure.
finished another little jumper, its so bright, the wearer will never get lost, you will be able to spot it at 100 meters!
have a lovely evening everyone.

Hi everyone. Thanks for all the kind thoughts about my fall. I just have a bruised elbow now; everything else is OK!
Mrs Moneypenny - I hated it when each of my boys moved out, but it's what we bring them up for, isn't it? I know how empty their rooms feel when they've gone, though! I wish your DD the best of luck in this new chapter in her life!
DPixie - I hope the weather has improved in your part of France. It was pretty gloomy and cool yesterday here, but it's lovely now - blue sky and wall to wall sunshine, so let's hope it lasts!
Mrs Twins - I hope things are OK with you. I shall go and take a look at SIBOL in a minute!
Welcome back, Pippa!
Chalky - Mum is being assessed to see what is the best course of action for her now. She seems to be getting worse more quickly than the doctors anticipated. There was some hope that she could move into some sort of assisted living scheme, where she would keep some real independence, but her own GP thinks this is not the best move because she'd only have to move again in about six months, which would mean more upheaval. So, reluctant as we all are to have to come to terms with it, it looks as if she will have to move into a residential care home, but one specialising in Alzheimer's patients. Mum herself wants that, too, which is good because we won't have to feel that she is being pushed into something she doesn't want. My sister, Jane, is able to ease off at the moment, because my younger sister, Vivienne, has come to stay with Mum. I was really worried about Jane, so I'm glad she's having an easier time now that someone else is there to help.
Well, I'm off to do some work. Will catch up with you all later.
