Phew!! All quiet here -- Family have left and washing machine will probably be on for the next 24 hours.
And my MOJO is still AWOL!!
So annoying!!
I had the same problem after Christmas, no mojo and serious CBA (can`t be ..sed syndrome) until I started doing the little Angel Claire bodywarmers using Mayflowers pattern on LH. They certainly got my needles clicking again.
Now I know you prefer hooking but maybe if you had a wee change and knitted something, your hooking mojo might just kick in again ?? Might even come up with a crochet version of the bodywarmer ?
Are hedgies required this year as I`ve come across a bag full of eyelash stuff which I might get around to using ? Some day.....
Had a lovely weekend with the LH girls. Roamin Jean was her usual chatty self and little J certainly took a shine to her and had her running about with him in the sunshine :T It was lovely weather on the Saturday so we made the most of it, sitting out in the sun having coffee and chat with the others. Dinner at night was lovely too and Lou was presented with a memory blanket big enough to snuggle up on her sofa with her family. She shed a few tears when she saw it.
Didn`t spend much money on wool though. Only came home with 2 balls of Rowan Picasso and 3 packets of buttons -grand total spent was £8.25.
Sooooo I still have lots of pennies, well the £2 coins I`ve been saving since Christmas, to spend in Poundstretchers or somewhere else local. Started doing a blanket with the Picasso but not overly thrilled with the way it`s coming out
but I suppose it will keep a littlie cosy somewhere.
Been so cold here this week, just like winter again, and I think snow is forecast over the weekend, hopefully not here. My weekend off with lots of jobs to do around the garden, but if it`s cold and wet I`ll have to stay indoors- SIGH - wonder what I can do ?Oh yes, housework............NOT.:rotfl:
Off to get the Horlicks sorted and hop into bed with one of the books I got from the library today.
Night night, see you tomorrow probably.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

morning lovelies!
Chalky as suggested try some knitty for a while...I am enjoying my jumper (but definate words with the woman who wrote the pattern...why cant they just use plain english!) and the back is now done! Maybe youre just plain pooped with all that house building! Wont do you any harm to have a bit of rest!
Socky hows the jumper going? Can we have a piccy?!!
Mrs M how are the babies?
Dppixie know what you mean about houses; a friend has a lovely house which is always spotless BUT I~ much prefer mine with piccies and trinkets all over...all represent someone or somewhere and Im surrounded by love and happy memories...would prefer that to spotless plus couldnt be spotless if I tried even if I wanted to! Just be you and enjoy...lifes waaay to short for tidyness...dull women, immaculate houses and all that!
Mrs M hows the babies?
Miol how you doing?

Hello you lovely lot!
Thank you so much for all the encouraging comments -- What a special place this is, where friends take the time just to hold out the hand of friendship.:A
Please take a hand cuddle from me if you want one.
We had a slow morning with coffee with two lovely friends here and then the doorbell rang and another friend popped in --- So the housework did not begin 'til 12.00 BUT what a lot you can do if you work solidly for 2 hours and the sun is shining to help dry the mountain of washing. Last load is on.Thank goodness DOH is as domesticated as me so always does an equal share!
Luckily a neighbour has a very long washing line she lets us borrow. Then we give her a treat for line rental!
Of course the house seems very quiet today and it will be ggod to get back to a little less Tapas etc and less Vino Collapso :rotfl:
Have decided to spend a day tidying my Crafty room here as think a bit of wool cuddling may kick me back into action!
Lovely to hear the news of the Scottish weekend it sounds lovely!

Hello all - firstly yet more of my apologies for neglecting you all again! especially when so many of you are having troubles or there is illness - so am just, as I know ive missed so much, going to say am sending lots of loving thoughts and hugs to you and hope things are improving xxx
I see also that there are so many whose mojo has gone was thinking that reading back over the last few weeks that with so many hard knocks and busy times there seems so little left in us to settle down and do what we love best - here is hoping we all improve soon - sun popping in now and again wouldnt hurt would it!
was so pleased to hear you all had a lovely time with Jean - oh how I wish could have met up with you all - I saw pics of little J over on LH - such a cutie
And what a lovely bundle of cuteness on the last pic chalky - you just melt seeing him Im sure (and thats just Daddy in the background tee hee!) - chalky you have been so busy with the house doing it in record time I think and the worry with MIL (hope she is ok xx) its bound to take it out of you - hopefully the spanish sun, friends, lovely food and a bit of collapso will do you all the power of good - I really hope so xxx
Here it is all steam ahead - DS is off for his residential week next week having been giving the all clear on friday from the hospital seems he has broken his toe before (bad mother alert!) so we are now all packed (shall not tell you ladies that it took a good few hours to iron and label all clothes! - plus did all his other ironing as well :T)
Packing for house move continues and am starting to get excited although with regards to this and my "pots" I feel gutted that Ive used virtually all of my "pots" up to move but only the other day realised "hey pat yourself on the back" the last few months have shown that I can do it - save money etc if I had not been so careful since Jan/Feb I would have really been struggling - so pots DO continue and the debt busting is coming along two debts have been cleared (although they are very small ones its still three figures and they are gone:j) - house insurance and water will be cheaper so thats even more :j:j.........
Oh gosh I have waffled Im so sorry - anyway if anyone finds knitting mojo and wants to share a little will happily accept - have a blanket on the needles but am finding the little blankets a bit hard going
WIth lots of hugs and gentle thoughts to you all xxx take care all of you xxxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -
Had a thought - what ideas could we put into the pot - knitting or crochet wise to get our mojo back ????
As PSSO said the Angel Clare's helped - any other ideas? - maybe little things to get us boosted xxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -
I lost my charity knitting mojo, so went off and did some of my own knitting, I am feeling the pull back again though
.
Sorry some of you have been having tough times (not read all the thread so apologies for not knowing details)- prayers for all that want them, hugs for the rest, and for those that don't want either....would a kick up the bahooky (bottom) suffice!
