Phew, thanks for that mrs mp. I`m glad it wasn`t yet another senior moment - been having sooooo many of them recently.

Have had a day of `finishing` -borrrrrrring - I know I should sew up and put buttons on when I finish an item but I always want to get started something else NOW, and set the things aside until later..........which can be a LOT LATER. Must get some pics taken before passing them on to Lou at the weekend.

Off to bed with a book for a wee while, don`t know how long the old eyes will stay open though, feeling quite tired tonight.

thank you for your help ladies - i have a few jumpers without the sleeves finished as i was not sure how long they should be, but i think they will be okay. i will test them out on a friends child who is coming to visit next month - another excuse not to sew in the ends and put on the buttons - oh how i hate those jobs.

the plants are all doing well, i have been for a run and now its time for a cup of coffee and a check of my e-mails.

hope everyone is okay - shaz, are thinks okay with you and yours? let us know...

    have a great day everyone!

Have a good weekend everyone and stay warm and dry and I`ll be back on Monday.

Hi everyone from a lovely sunny France, although I haven't been feeling too well this week, so I haven't been able to make the most of it. I'm feeling sad, too, because my Mum's Alzheimer's is getting worse more quickly than we had hoped, so some sort of residential care is being sorted out for her. My sister is exhausted but, fortunately, my other sister is there now, so Jane can at least have the break she needs. Mum asked me the other day to write her a sort of 'living will', something that she can give to the doctors and anyone else looking after her so that, if she can't express her own wishes, they will still do what she wants, which is not to use medical intervention to keep her going; she just wants to be allowed to go. It's very very sad to have to accept that I just know she's ready when the time comes, and it was very difficult coming up with the right words for the letter, but I had to do it to put her mind at ease. She says she thinks she'll enjoy this summer, then that will be it. My mum has always been right, so I don't doubt that she is about that.

I hope I haven't made you all too sad, but it does help to be able to write it down. If I talk to DH about it all, we both get upset. He loves my mum, too.

Shaz - I hope things get sorted out with Daniel; it's horrid that you have all this worry, and I hope you can find time to put yourself first. It sounds like Daniel is in charge of his own destiny.

Mrs MP - how are the twins?

DPixie - lovely to hear from you and to know that your garden is growing well!

I hope Jean's trip is going well, and that she's not doing her usual racing about.

Chalky - hope you and DH are getting some rest now!

I hope Pippa's holiday is going well, too.

F1 - hope the toe heals well! A toe is meant to be one of the most painful things to break, so I hope it's not too sore.

Elaine - have a lovely time with Jean and all the others.

PurpleTeddyBear - good to hear from you!

ISOM - hope work and everything else in your life is going well.

Well, I'm off for another cuppa. DH is working and, luckily, I have no work pressing for today, so I am off for a snooze. Sleep is a healer, so I have every excuse!

    Love to you all

    KathyXX

Sorry, I meant to mention the update. I should get it up to date tomorrow.
