    morning all
hope you get your top finished for the weekend Shaz, also hope the weather picks up for you. at the mo its actually sunny here!!
Very quiet on here but hope thats because people are having fun rather than trauma. big hugs!
mil is wanting her bath taken out and a shower put in ive managed to find someone who'll do it next week so ive been busy with prep work. ive spent every morning this week round there stripping the old paper off the walls and ceiling, its really thick textured paper thats had at least two lots of gloss on it, its a swine to get off. Im almost done just the bit of ceiling over the bath to do and take some fixtures down. shes at the cinema today so i get the morning off to catch up cleaning my own house. once its had the work all done im back on painting duty. My mum said she wished i lived nearer her as she wouldnt mind a bit of work doing as well

got another little body warmer started last night, did the yoke part and got to just below the armholes so should only take a couple more nights.
ive sorted myself a little asket out and put a few balls of baby wools in there so work on for my challenge all other wools are in cupboard, drawers under bed or the attic in various bags. at least if i work on the basket and finish some of that i can decide what im doing next and bring a bit down at a time. repeats to myself "i must stop buying wool, i must stop buying wool"

hi all, hope that you are doing well. i am a bit cross - the weather report said it was going to be 27 degrees here today and its cold, blowing a gale and i wanted to be outside gardening! i suppose that i should just wrap up and get into the garden, but now its also threatening to rain and i believe we have loads of thunder and lightening on the way too - oh well, i have some french movies and a whole lot of wool to entertain me, even though none of that is on my "to do" list for today. i suppose we all get lucky breaks now and then!

so ladies, what are the plans for today? i know that i have to sew in ends and sew on buttons, but if i can sew in the ends on one jumper, its one closers to finishing the (11) pile that i have on my desk! shame on me. whatever you are up to, i hope that you have a fabulous day.

Hello from very sunny Spain --- We have had a VERY hectic time since our return as DD1,partner and his Mum have come with us to try and sort out a wedding venue for them next May!!!! All a bit stressful and I am leaning towards a ceremony for the two of them with coconuts as witnesses on a distant beach a long way away!!

    We shall see!!

I have read back and feel that a lot of our friends have hands and minds overflowing!

    Kathy - the gentlest thoughts.

I really do hope everyone is busy with positive things as it is very quiet hereabouts!

Dpixie -- It is lovely to see you posting again!

Well my Mojo is still incognito,in hiding,in disguise or just absent without leave but our guests leave tomorrow so I hope I see it come marching up the hill. I really need some quiet hooky time after the last few months!

morning all - not crocheting today! firstly i have a french lesson in half an hour, then ... i am trying to tidy the house while OH is in the UK.

yesterday i went to visit a neighbour for the first time - good grief, was i shamed - her house (and garden) are immaculate, not a speck of dust and not a thing out of place - it was all so ordered and neat and tidy and lovely - i was so ashamed, and hope that she doesn't want to come and visit me - i will cringe if she does. out house is a mess (because of me), there is wool and crocheting stuff all around and my OH loves to buy "dust collectors" everywhere we travel. I am trying my best to put things away and tidy up and then clean too, but it is a huge job and although i have only been at it for a couple of hours, i am exhausted already.

oh well, i will keep you updated on how it goes, but the kitchen is getting there and then i will start on the sitting room and then move on up - tackling my study last as it is a serious case that might need some loud music and some serious decisions by me ...

thanks and good luck chalky - i know how you feel - there were times (up until the day before) when i thought that a quiet ceremony on the beach somewhere would have been the best idea for my OH and me! it will work itself out, but make sure that you know all the rules of getting married in a "foreign" country - with france, if not a permanent resident, one has to be in the country for about a month before the wedding (full time) and one has to have a full medical, including all the blood work etc... strange, but true.

kathy, hope that you are well and that you have better weather than we do today, but not sure that you will. chin up and things will get better, i am sure.

    hugs to all

dpixie, yours is a home not a show house, mine is the same, its full of stuff i jioned the fly lady thread and its really helping my cleaning routines -i never had one before i used to blitz rooms on an ad hoc basis when things got bad - its wasnt the hoarder next door or grime buster standard but just looked cluttered and in need of some tlc. it still looks cluttered ill never be a place for everything and everything in its place person i have too many things and not enough places LOL but it looks tidier now and i feel better and more organised for it.

chalky hope everything gets sorted with not too much stress

kathy hugs for you hope everything is ok,

SK hope the weekend goes well and you got your top finished.

hugs to everyone who needs/wants one

off to do some tidying so the weekend starts neat (ISH)
