Evening all
been MIA again so much going on, my life seems to revolve mainly around hospital appointments for Mom and for OH lately...ah well it must be done...
It was OH's birthday yesterday we had a lovely day. Picked DGS up from school took him back to his house, got him changed then the 3 of us had lunch, watched some TV, played cards, read books and just generally enjoyed ourselves. We all went out for a meal when DS2 and DIL got home from work, had a lovely time. A long day but a happy one
DGS asked if he could have a sleep over so we have settled on next Friday...seems to suit us all I am really looking forward to it.
thanks gillypep

mrs-m and f1 - Yes it happens so often when a couple have been together for a long time then one dies the other is lost and just seems to lose heart in everthing it is so sad really, understandable though I think
I had some fluffy wool given me last week and we took it over to Jo's today so she can do some scarves for L/H, stayed longer than we intended but had a good old chat and catch up
Off for a nice relaxing evening with my crochet

Hi everyone. I hope you are all OK?
Shaz - I'm so sorry to hear that you're not well. I hope you feel a lot better soon.
Pippa - last week's house viewing didn't produce an offer, but someone is coming this evening, so fingers crossed. We've been trying to get the lawns mowed but the rain has been non-stop for about a week, apart from last Thursday! It's been bad on both sides of the channel, hasn't it? I hope your OH is doing well?
Mrs Moneypenny - well done on all that knitting! Hope the twins are doing well?
ISOM - good luck on your return to work!
Chalky - hope you had a wonderful birthday yesterday, and that the move back in is going as well as can be!
F1 and Mrs MP - I echo what Pippa has said. My FIL, a big strong capable man, went to pieces when his wife died. He's much better now, but his reaction was a real shock to us all.
Well, my online freelance writing work has got really busy lately, and it's as much as I can do to take time off to eat and sleep! It's a good thing, really; I enjoy it, but it's so time-consuming! I'm trying to get some sort of timetable going, but it's not that easy, what with having to keep the house looking saleable! DH is busy, too, with loads of work coming in, so we can't complain; we just wish there were more hours in the day, and days in the week OR that we were both a lot younger!
I do have squares that are almost in an envelope for posting. I'll post some to Mrs Twins and some to you, Chalky, but only when I can tell that you are back to normal at home!
As I've said, the rain has been non-stop and everything is looking really soggy, but it's only rain and, surely, it must stop one day.
Will do the update tomorrow.
Love to you all, and I hope you keep dry!
Kathy

Phew!!!!!! Phew !!!! And thrice PHEW!!!!! Well here I am computer on lap and I am actually sitting on a chair. In my corner and I have a house all around me. You must be able to feel my excitement!
I have learnt a lot during these last months and one of those things was that I miss my routines. I miss my " friends" -- you lovely lot!
But I have also learnt I have FAR too many Crafty bits and pieces. I thought all was going well. Things were squirreling away so tidily but all of a sudden it was back to push, squeeze, cram and ram! If I live to be a hundred I will never use all my card making/sewing/knitting suppliews. BUT I shall have time trying!!!!
From tomorrow I will be catching up with you all but until then I send the biggest, gentlest, squishiest hug to you all.Try and do a good deed every day.0 -

Loads happening here but will tell you more soon - Loving Hands Challenges for Summer are posted if anyone has missed them - in short Baby Blankets, items for Xmas Boxes and a special organisation overseas (dont quote me on this one Im trying to say from memory), and dog coats for bigger dogs. was at gp again last night, as the room was spinning so much, i was being sick, and no alcohol was involved lol.
this time i have to carry on with the betahistamine, (meniere's disease) and some exercises involving lying down and moving my head, and an additional diagnosis of Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV)

Hello from toooooomuch stuff.com!! I really did not think I was a hoarder! But getting sorted and organised slowly.
I will of course put the finished pictures on soon as soon as it looks vaguely straight!!!
Thank you so much for the birthday wishes-- I had a super day starting with a delivery in bed of the gorgeous William -- the perfect way to start my day. And because the house is finished DOH was able to enjoy it too rather than having to rush off and form a relationship with his paintbrush! He dropped the hoover today on his new paintwork-- it turned blue:) I crept quietly by!!!
I have just got the Lappys ready to send -- using parcels to go and a drop off at my local shop.I have never done that before so I hope it goes smoothly.
I went into my local wool shop the other day, more for inspiration than anything. Actually now I am glad I did not buy another single ounce. We must all be suffering from the same disease if you ask me.
Anyway I wanted some Stylecraft. Last year it jumped from £1.20 to £1.40 and last week it had jumped again to £1.70!! What a shame. It can not have gone up that much in one year surely. Kathy be ready!!!
Too tired at the moment to attempt anything woolly so it doesn't really matter just now!
The sun is shining beautifully here and DOH is cutting the grass. Well the bits of grass not covered by bits of cement and other debris!!!
I have got my little notebook out to catch up with you all but not had chance to jot anything down yet so once again a VERY big hug to one and all !! Love to each and every one of youTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
