ginny what a worry for you...hope he is back to full health soon. The old crochet does keep us (relatively!) sane doesent it!
Mrs M great that the girls could have some time shared as sure they must feel something missing at that age when they are separated...
Chalky fantastic that you will be home soon...its been a tough few months for you all and I can almost feel the relief. Good to that there is no deterioration for mil...
Roaming hope all goes well with visitors...coming home too will be lovely..time to run up the stash and rescue some wool!
socky not good re Daniel...whay did they not rehome him? I think it would be a good idea for you to get hold of shelter as they will be able to assist and are very good at persuading the council...
All a bit eek here as back to week next week! Still get v tired so do feel nervous about it...we have a concert on Sat singing John Rutter "Psalmfest" which is hard to sing. Apparently it is the done thing to be wearing a bit of slap so am off to town with a lovely friend and were going to have a glorious day! Sushi for lunch and just being with each other. I am much excited as she is one of my friends who I feel most relaxed with as we have both seen each other at our worst and its means alot that she not only stuck around but rolled up her sleeves and got stuck in...on that note off to get ready as cant go out in my pj's!

    Hi everyone

Have been having internet problems again, which turned out to be a fault in the village and not with my Livebox, which makes a change! Anyway, so far, I'm back on and am hoping that I stay on. It's been pouring with rain for hours now, so I think it's probably the weather that has caused the problem. Still, the helpline was very reassuring and informative; they've come a long way in their customer service, and I can't praise them enough for that.

Ginny - I do hope your OH is recovering well. What a scare for you.

Mrs Moneypenny - I hope that both little ones will be at home together soon.

Shaz - I'm so sorry that things are difficult for you right now; I hope that your DS can be rehoused very soon.

Chalky - hope the move back in goes smoothly! Lovely lappies, too; I have squares here which I keep meaning to send, but will hang on to them until the next shout.

Jean - hope your plans go well and, please, take a breather now and again!

ISOM - hope things go well for you when you go back to work.

Pippa - my Mum taught me to knit when I was about five years old. Apparently, I took to it straight away. Sadly, I can't do as much now because of my hands, so I stick to crochet which is easier. Hope your OH is doing well?

Well, my online work seems to have really taken off in the last two weeks. I've been asked to do a weekly 1000 word blog post for a website that has its own blog; this may lead to twice weekly, and the person who runs that has recommended me to someone else, for whom I have just done two 1000 word articles, and now he wants me to do ongoing work, starting with a big month long project! This is great for me especially as it's work I can do wherever I am as long as I have the internet and a computer, and it's something I've always wanted to - be able to earn a decent living from writing. Another great bonus is that there is no commute, unless you call walking from the kitchen to my office a commute - it takes all of three seconds!

DH is busy, too, and that seems to have happened all of a sudden; he seems to have work coming out of his ears, which makes it easier for me to be able to concentrate on my work.

All we need now is a buyer for the house, then I shall start really thinking that life has turned a corner. We have someone viewing tomorrow evening, so fingers crossed! I shall be so glad to sell it and move on to wherever we end up next; it's hard work keeping the place ready for viewing all the time!

Anyway, I hope you all have a great day.

    KathyXX

    Evening all

WHILE I THINK HAS ANYONE GOT THE ADDRESS FOR THE HEREFORD CPU. I WANT TO GET THE TOYS SENT OFF AND DON'T KNOW WHERE TO SEND THEM TO :o don't know where my head's at lately...

Bit of a sad day today, my friends father died last week, it was the funeral this morning. He was 97 and until the last few years he was a very sprightly man and a real gentleman, lovely man but he was never the same after his wife died 2 years ago, she was a bundle of energy, used to be a Bluebell girl (anyone remember them) and she tap danced right up to her 80's. It's all so sad

Ginny - what a shock for you both, glad he's back home again relaxing and getting a bit spoilt maybe !!
chalky - the blankets look great some nice colours and patterns, love the flower squares.:)
shaz - I hope things work out for Daniel and he get's a new place soon
jean - not long now:j... a whole month how lovely, and so exciting catching up with everyone
kathy - Thank you for asking, my OH is coming along slowly he has an appointment at Hospital next week because the radiotherapy made him deaf in the one ear, they're not sure if it's temporary but they said he needs a hearing aid... on the positive side he can swallow much better now and is eating more normally, he has been prescribed Salivex sweets to encourage the saliva to start flowing again, the one gland is gone (thats where the cancer was) but hopefully the other will take over...we shall see :) Things look good on the work front for you and DH, I hope your house sells quickly.

Well, I am off for a quiet night with my crochet now so love to all and TTFN

Re: Hereford CPU address - the letter I have says to hand them in to any police station and the bears will be forwarded to the CPU - it doesn't give the direct address which makes sense I suppose.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

    Regards

    Gill

Hello all Ive been doing my usual disappearing act and so thought had better pop in and catch up - I need to re-read over the posts but just having had a quick glance was sorry to hear that there has been illness (ginnyknit hope hubby is better) and problems (sock-knitter hope D is better after his ordeal and that he does not camp on the sofa for too long) and I really hope all of that is soon over.

am loving the pictures of the lappys and hope the move in went well chalky

Mrs m - :T:T loving the Angel Clares xx

pippa - have heard of the Bluebell Girls very famous and a thing a bit like an olden day "Legs & Co" (now Im showing my age...) sorry to hear that you had to attend a funeral though - my mum often tells me of people I knew growing up and are now elderly who when the husband or wife dies the other fades quickly as well - its so sad - hope OH is ok - think of you both often xx

kathy - how did the viewing go - Im soooooo keeping my fingers crossed that things will go well xx

jean - :j not long before you are crossing the water - have the wool suppliers been warned of your arrival so as to get extra stock in xx

isom - hope you are getting along ok and that the return to work will not be too stressful and wearing for you xx

Im sorry if I have missed anything / anyone and didnt mean to so will send lots of love and hugs tucked in for all of you

Its a bit odd and manic here at the moment and I wont bore you needless to say we are just trying to sort and change things (for the better) - I am now the proud owner of new glasses which I now have to wear full time (the bank balance did not approve of these.....) - slowly Im trying to sort things that have got tucked away, hidden, tried to be forgotten about and we are getting there - slowly - will catch up soon and I promise to try and not be too distant
    Love as always xx

afternoon all, where are u all hiding? hope your all sat busy crafting
the last couple of months i have been feeling generally unwell, put it down to stress, and have suffered from tinitus and severe vertigo, as well as some hearing loss, which i put down to my age (41) anyway several trips to gp, and i have finally been diagnosed with menieres disease, am not happy with that, but have to accept it. on gp advice, i've got myself a walking stick to help with my balance, feeling really old now, especially as son said i look more and more like his gran especially now i have the stick
    hugs to all
