oh why does this always happen - I get ready to start a project ie over on loving hands I asked about baby hat sizes sat down with that did another baby hat and wanted to continue and make some in all sizes - then my elderly friend sent me the pattern from a mag for mice for the cats home so have done one of those (but was going to make a couple) then went back on LH today and found a dog blanket pattern so have just started that !!!!!! aarrgghhhhh butterfly mind again
Have been trying to do more jobs per day than I have in recent months (I know it sounds either like I have a mansion or Im just lazy:rotfl:) but hopefully some of you will understand that I just run out of puff really quick! frustration and embarresment are huge on this subject as I see so many who do so much with their illnesses and Im just a wet blanket really!
anyway on a positive note I have managed to do all the washing ta da and that flattening job managed just over 2 hours this week - was meant to have done 4 hours by today but hey thats 2 hours more than I did last week - have started sorting DS's clothes - too small etc and good (nearly finished that job) have done loads of "stuff" sorting and putting away - I really dont know but our stuff is breadingI look there is one item on the side and then turn round and there are two! BUt at least some of that stuff has now been sorted and put away ta da!!!!!
My Doctor after speaking to him three weeks ago has now done the referral for the physio and Ive just received a letter from the hospital to go and pick up in a week high dose Vitamin D tablets - was on 1000 and will be 50,000:eek: per day for 7 days and then a course of other tablets for 6 weeks and have organised an eye test so am "ticking boxes"
AND last but not least for those that have seen my debt diary (which is non existent lately) I have gone through another month with no naughty spends which is :j but I feel  perhaps thats why Im throwing myself into sorting
anyway I have waffled soooooo much (Im sorry)
Love and hugs to you all as always xx ps sun is lovely isnt it! xx although Im sure it will rain next week as the children are home !Debt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -

HI everyone
May - thinking of you.
Mrs Moneypenny - hope the funeral was a lovely celebration of a life well-lived.
F1 - glad some boxes are being ticked healthwise.
ISOM - hope things are going well for you.
Shaz - how are you?
Chalky - how's the house coming on?
Well, the barn-demolishing is going on slowly but surely. The neighbours who are joined on to us (but won't be when the barn has gone!), complained a month or so ago that the roof to the barn was caving in causing rain to leak into their property. DH's brother, who is an architect/surveyor called in yesterday (it was DH's birthday) and took a good look, and it turns out that the leaking bit of the roof belongs to the neighbours and not to us! Both houses were part of a farm that was continually being extended years ago, and the way it was divided up into separate houses is a real mish-mash, so it's not obvious who owns what. Anyway, we have to talk to the neighbours today to see what the next step will be. We can carry on with our bit. The demolishing so far is going well but it's dusty work, and it's been so warm and sunny that it's turning into a real labour of love. Still, it would have been worse in the rain, so we should be grateful.
I've been doing a lot of online writing in between shifting big lumps of granite, so it's been a busy week. On Thursday, we were invited up to the farm for coffee, and we saw their lovely new goat kids; I was sorely tempted to try and get one into the back of the car without being noticed! We had a lovely tour of the farm which is now, sadly, not producing any meat for sale; they just couldn't get the business to work due to all the red tape and taxes here. Anyway, they are now doing up the house and becoming as self-sufficient as possible. It's a real 'Tom and Barbara' project. They now have six pigs, two beautiful Cleveland Bay horses, several goats (some are Angoras so their lovely fleeces will be spun into yarn!), one cow called Moody Trudy, and lots of chickens and quail. They all free range apart from the pigs and horses, and they are really tame. They've also got several cats and four dogs, two German shepherds, one black lab, and a little border collie, so the whole place is just teeming with life.
They have planted acres of veg, some of which will be used as animal feed, and are now starting to see what can be foraged in the hedgerows. They have also cleaned up three ponds, so they hope to divert some of the water into the garden - there is still a hosepipe ban here from last year, and it won't be lifted yet because we've had so little rain, so if the farm can use its own water, it can save money. Anyway, they both work so hard so I really hope they can make it all work for them. We'll help when we can; it's a wonderful place to spend a few hours.
The only woolly stuff I've been doing is sewing in the ends of things. I'm having to make myself do that before I start anything new; it's so difficult when I'd much rather be making!
Anyway, I'd better go and get the day started.
Still haven't done the update but I think Jean has identified why I've not been able to get into the spreadsheet, so I shall try and get that done this afternoon.
I hope the sun shines for you all!
