Oh he`s absolutely gorgeous Chalky. Give him an extra cuddle from me please. I just love babies when they are that size as they never object to cuddles. Little J is at the `I`ll only give you a cuddle if I feel like it` stage and can be downright stroppy now sometimes.Well he is only a couple of months away from being two so what else can we expect ? Terrible times ahead? Nah, I`ll sort him out just as I did with his mum and aunties and uncles :rotfl:
Didn`t think it was too cold this morning but how wrong can you be. Took DS to work and stopped at the shop on the way home for a loaf for my brekkie toast. Thought it looked a bit overcast and that rain was on the way. Not at all. Came out of the shop and it was snowing  certainly didn`t think it was THAT cold. Melted as it hit the ground so hope it stays that way.
Car has to go in for MOT tomorrow :(so fingers crossed it won`t prove to be an expensive day. Will take my knitting with me to do while I await the verdict to help take my mind off it.
Started a lap blanket in random-y type yarn in basketweave pattern and discovered I can`t even count to 8 without encountering problems
but I will persevere with it come h*ll or high water. I will beat this mojo thing into submission.
F1 - if you need woolly supplies and don`t have enough spare pennies, I can send you some of my stash to knit up. (then I can go and get some more to fill the gaps
Ssshhhhh, just don`t tell DD as she loves to spoil my fun)
Right, I`m off to unload the washing machine into the tumbley and shove the next lot in. Lots to do on my 2 days off so better get a wriggle on and I have to fit in a food shop as well or the gang will go hungry while I`m at work over the weekend.
Have a good day everyone and keep warm and dry. Back later.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

Hi everyone
I think it was Prfungi who mentioned the January blues a page or two back; well, they seem to have settled in here for the whole month, I think! My mojo has obviously taken a very long holiday (I suspect it's still back in the UK with my heart!), so I am trying very hard to gee myself up and think positively.
F1 - I can only echo what others have said on here; you are very brave to bear your soul and I am full of admiration for you. I really hope that things can start looking up for you and your family.
Pippa - how is your OH? I hope things are going well; I've still to catch up with all the posts on here.
Mrs Moneypenny - hope those dear little girls are doing well.
Chalky - he's gorgeous, isn't he? There is nothing like cuddling a baby, is there? Please give him a virtual one from me! I see the house is progressing, although you may not think so. It will all be worth it in the end.
As Jean has said, we have been trying to sort out the update spreadsheet. I had the loveliest chat with her on the phone the other; it was just the tonic I needed. She always sounds so cheerful and positive.
I can see that some wonderful totals have already been posted, so well done and thank you, all. I have another four Geezer squares to add to mine, and I hope to keep going with them for the time being.
Well, I'd better go; DH is off to do a quote for a potential customer. I have to make sure he has his driving licence and passport with him; you have to carry ID round with you all the time here, and he is so forgetful!
Hugs to you all and, Elaine, good luck with the car tomorrow!

Beautiful Lappy!!!
I have modest stash of wool and I am trying to figure out how to put it to best use:
I am thinking of using the blue baby wool for premie cardigans and the white for blankets but I am getting a bit bored with knitting blankets now. I might look into some nice hat patterns for that. Can't decide what to do with the DK (green, red, yellow and brown), perhaps ellie blanket squares or would that be ok for socks? And absolutely no idea what to do with the cotton wool (in the plastic), I have about 500g of it. I am going to attempt a kindle cover from the reddish ball on the front but would like to use the rest for something useful. Any idease gratefully received.
Oh and where could I get good quality sock wool for reasonable price. I am getting addicited to knitting socks."Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
