Mornin' all!
How are you all? I've got a feeling that there's a lot of January blues out there.
I was pleased to see the lovely bright day yesterday and that the daylight lasted noticeably longer - it cheers me up so much - not quite enough to blitz the housework, but never mind.
You might remember me telling you about the Drop In group I volunteer at well we sent off a parcel to LH at the weekend, a nice variety of little blankets, squares and lapghans - everyone was very pleased with their efforts. We are all looking forward to the Spring Challenges! My next challenge is to show 1 of the ladies how to crochet - wish me luck!
I'm trying to finish a blanket for my latest grandson, its knitted "in the round" and is about 2/3 of the way done so each row now takes ages but I'm getting there, albeit slowly.:rotfl:
Time for more coffee now, ((HUGS)) for everyone who'd like them,
luv

Well it seems as if everyone has got themselves a life:D:D
I have been doing bits and pieces over the last week but need to get some more ribbon to finish some of them off. I spent ages last week getting some wool into a knittable state. My sis in law had passed on some wool that she had been given but the person who had donated it had wound it up using three or four strands together. This made it unusable until I had managed to get it separated. I was determined to use as much as possible as it was 4 ply so suitable for baby things.
I hope all are well:)knitted so far 2011 24 Baby Hats 11 Bunting 24 Emergency squares 1 Angels Pocket 1 Baby Blanket 19 IS Hats 1 Sands blanket 12 Mrs Twins squares 2012 24 Baby Hats 6 Angels Pocket 7 Baby Blankets 14 Baby Buntings 2 Body Warmers 1 Baby Jacket

Good morning everyone,
Brother in scotland came out of hospital yesterday, which is good news. Just have to wait for the scan and appointment with consultant now. His dog was certainly pleased to see him! He has some very good neighbours who had been looking after dog and cats and take dog for a walk every day, his next goal is to take the dog out himself, but I think that will take a while yet.
Anyone doing any reading? I came across a book in a charity shop by Fidelis Morgan about a character called Lady Anastasia Ashby-de la-Zouche, and enjoyed it so much I bought the next two from Amazon. Any of you know what I'm talking about?
prfungi, lovely to hear from you, I do so agree about sunshine and slightly longer days, it makes such a difference to my whole outlook on life.
Love to everyone xxx0 -
prfungi - HELLLLLOOOOOOO how lovely to see you :j:j - yes I too agree that the sun makes all the difference - didnt see any here sadly yesterday - glad you and the group are going well - good luck with the crochet Im just glad its not me you are teaching you would need crash helmet to stop being hit with hook! xxx
kinsey glad to hear brother out of hospital xx
well its quite on here - I have an admission Ive been "two timing you" - ive just set up my Debt Diary (diary name in my signature) and subscribed to two more diaries over there - am very ashamed to say that we have ignored our problem for far too long and whilst I dont know whether my health can cope with this we cant put it off any longer - Im sure none of you will feel ill of me but I am ashamed that we have got ourselves in the mess we have and been living a lie for so long :eek:
So not only am I talking to virtual friends here Im looking for more ears to bend over on another forum
(and I do have to say that compared to some forums they all seem a lovely bunch - I was careful before opening up as have been bitten before)
Anyway Im off to get some jobs done and have also realised as we have had a couple of meetings here today that I have not had lunch - it will soon be school hometime let alone my lunch time
Big hugs to all as ever xxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -

Sorry for being absent so much but I am sure you will understand. I am skimming through and send lots of love to you all
I am off to Bideford to spend a few days with William tomorrow so will catch up properly then
Love to one and all xTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
afternoon all
kinsey glad your brother is home
chalky new joists are looking good, have a lovely time in Bideford and give William a hug from me
F1 its not two timing at all sometimes its a case of "horses for courses" obviously we all support each other and can vent off any worries we have and know our lovely friends on this thread will give us suport and lend a virtual ear, but sometimes you need a bit more and if youve found a goup that helps your need then go for it. im in here on one of the shopping threads and the monthly budgeting thread - ive even started looking to the flylady thread for advice but i dont post there yet (i dont feel tidy enough) i spent friday blitzing the bathroom and yesterday and today have been attempting to organise the lounge. not only are our hobbies time consuming they also take up a heck of a lot of space with my wool and Dhs dvd stash and the fact we hoard all our memories the house is chocablok weve never moved since marrying so the house has 27 years and 5 childrens worth of memorabilia squezed in it.
i hope all are well and sending hugs to all.
i was so busy in the run up to christmas i didnt achieve anything for LH winter challenge i MUST get a finger out for the next one
went back to drs yesterday, hes making me another appt to go back to the breast clinic i think that means i need draining again.SPC~12 ot 124

Oh dear f1 please don`t feel ashamed, it can happen to anyone. You aren`t the first and you definitely won`t be the last.
I was in a bit of debt when I chucked useless first husband out - he used to spend the rent money and housekeeping in the pub and didn`t worry if the kids had shoes etc. selfish pig.
Things just seem to snowball and the bigger it gets the more you worry. Maybe that isn`t helping your state of health and now that you have `come out` so to speak, you will get help and encouragement to deal with it all and will feel less depressed about things. Big hugs are in order I think. ((hugs)) Well done for taking the first step.
Chalky - wow haven`t they done well in a short time. Enjoy your cuddling time with little William.
Mrs moneypenny - the flylady would have her work cut out getting me organised, she wouldn`t know where the heck to start :rotfl:
Kinsey - good to see you brother is out of hospital again.
prfungi - nice to see you posting and well done with your groups efforts.
Will be back later and read back further to see what you have all been doing. Off to organise some food for the hungry bunch.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

F1 - I've posted a message on the diary, but wanted to add a hug here for you too.
Not alone at all, we've been dealing with CCCS after a long overdue LBM last May, and I can honestly say it's the best thing I have ever done, but regret not doing it years ago. In fact, had cause to speak to CCCS today after I found out from work that I will only be receiving half pay from Monday 23rd to 1st February (am off sick at the moment, and have been since 1 December), but I am determined to come out of this black hole, keep taking the tablets and fingers crossed doctor will let me go back after I see her again on the 2nd February. Not a nice place to be.
So, good luck with it all - and we can help each other!!
Love Dawn xx:hello:0 -
Help Needed - Does anyone know how to repair a soggy keyboard ???
Im speechless and very emotional re: the above - its so very kind of you xx bless you all xxx
mrs m - ooo too much de-cluttering but i felt all warm and fuzzy thinking of the happy if not full house you amassed (is that right?) over the years so many memories - how lovely - there is one thing for being minamalist but sometimes do the designers etc ever think you could be de-cluttering memories etc (iykwim) - plus a huge hug re: Drs appt - will be thinking of you xxx
purpleteddybear - oh hon didnt realise when we spoke earlier you were off work - take it easy dont rush if you are not up to it xx
chalky - ooo send William lots of "Virtual Auntie" hugs - have a lovely time with him - my you have a cabriolet house ! - I hope its not upsetting you too much xxx
And something from my day "over t'other side" https://www.clothesforcash.com - you get sent a big bag - you fill it with unwanted clothes etc they pick up via Citylink and they send you cheque or paypal payment (and whilst I would not want to detract from any charitable work - I thought a) what a great idea and
b) especially for all my KYSSYC dear friends - we could all use it and it will put an end to all that ironing and make a few pound in the process:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:DH says there was one vital flaw in this idea that whilst it would not be a problem for me to walk around in my birthday suit at home he thinks his work and DSs school "may" have a problem with this ........ spoil sport - I thought I had thought of a way of ending ironing as we know it
And on that note - I bid you night night and much thoughts - Im off to sit with a bit of woolly stuff as its been neglected for a day or two xxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0
