tootifrutti - :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I got off my b** - not much but you were right a few little jobs - cleared the surface damage around the house BUT i have managed an Angel Pocket as well - cleared some programmes off the recorded list whilst doing this - load of washing - cleaned the kitchen - tidied up - hoovered downstairs - still hurting and am whacked but jobs are done - just sitting thinking about dinner

i think dinner will be a clear up operation using some odds and ends that need eating up - sausage surprise!!! tinned toms, celery, onion, carrots, sausages (obviously) served with rice and some green beans that I have left over from Sunday - Im giving myself a pat on the back as Im getting better at using stuff up (trying to be very conservative with the money) a year ago it would have been thrown away (I know smack my bottom) but we no longer always eat a meal that always goes together (iykwim!) if it means eating something up

Im also going to make more of an effort than last year to use up what Ive got than buying - my homemade christmas presents went down a storm so will be doing more of those this year for either christmas or birthdays (sorry ive just mentioned christmas!!!!) already have some ideas for gifts but will have to buy a few things to start those projects - some bits i have.

Anyway Im whittering - Im sorry! - hope you have all had a good day hugs xx

Sorry Kinsey my post crossed yours so I do hope there is good news from your brother xx

  • Kinsey sending you lots of love and cuddles with only the positive vibes for the news from your Brother.
Well, car went to garage this morning (brake pads) so decided I would pop out to the shops in the PAMPERVAN - SOD wouldn't even start........DH then spent a good hour checking everything - got the the battery terminals last - oh guess what - they were slack and battery run down. So shopping was put off for the day. Took DH down to garage in the Pampervan and garagist has just informed him that the proper brake pads will be with him tomorrow am.....gggrrr.(so the car has sat there all day - I could have been away to the shops with it). Car is due its first control (MOT) Thursday, so best it be all fixed by then. Pampervan is going into garage directly we pick up the car...needs the awning fixed onto it (this is what happens when you buy the camper without the awning) as DH is off to Italy for some rugby match in February and has decided that this time he is taking the camper - can't think for one minute he will need an awning (unless its to keep the snow and rain off him dining al fresco?) So looks like shopping is jut going to have to wait a bit.......plenty in the place - I juts don't fancy any of it! Now Being yelled that dinner is 5 mins from the table so I had better shut up - wash my mitts and appear at the table! Back later.
TOOTS - have you an actual date thing fixed up yet or are we still all virtual? Can you tell we are all excited for you?

    Evening all

Things not been too good here lately, OH has had a couple of bad days, he is off the morphine now so it could be something to do with that, we shall find out tomorrow I expect, we have to see the Consultant at 4:00 pm ...fingers crossed that all is well.

Good news is Mum is feeling a little better now thank goodness I was worried she had bronchitis again but Doctor said no and gave her some anti-B's so they must be working ...

I haven't read back yet will do later after dinner.
I managed to do a couple of adult hats over the last few days but
mainly I've been working on the hexagon blanket and its coming along ok, must admit I am getting a bit tired of it now, but I'm determined not to let it end up as a UFO ;)

Hope all is well for you all in your neck of the woods :)

  • huge hugs for DH Anne sorry to read he has not been good but as you say it could very well be withdrawl from the morphine - i hope the consultant has good news for you tomorrow.

jean no I havent an actual date as yet but wondering what he will say tonight as he has just finished 3 x 12 hour shifts so in theory should be finished until monday but he had thought of doing 2 nights to get more time off next week for something so IF he isnt working a 'date' maybe be soonish!!! it was a bit dodgy earlier on when I sent him my photo - was prepared for the worst and it was touch and go as he would appear to be looking for someone more glam and shapely:rotfl: thats def not me but we are still texting so there may be hope yet:D

I had forgotten how stressed these men can make you:rotfl:

hope everyone has had an ok day and if you need a hug then help yourself (((hugs)))

    love

pippa - really sorry to hear that DH has had a rough few days - FIL is on Morphine patches and its playing havoc with him - I hope after it wears off DH will start to feel brighter again xx hugs xxx

toots - Im not sure how old you are and it would be rude to ask;);) but ive often talked with DOH and said that if we were on our own again I would hate dating - would not know where to start (we are 40 and 41) it was bad enough when I met him at 23 I felt old then and had not dated for three years after coming out of a bad relationship - DOH was 25 and had been married for 5 years and his wife decided she liked the look of someone else ....................... he was a blind date and I must admit that I was put off when my friend explained that my "blind date" was going through a divorce I immediately had a bad picture of him - how wrong I was - he was lovely and still is - the most wonderful man you could ever meet - I cant understand why his ex-wife wanted someone else but her loss was my gain !!!!

I really am taking up too much forum space the last few days with all my whittering ...........SORRY xx

roamin - urrggghhh car problems - hope they are sorted soon - does that mean come February you are "home alone" again - mmmm you can do what you want when you want then just like you did before xmas how fun xxx

Thanks for the good wishes for my brother, the consultant popped in to see him but as he hadn't had the latest scan(don't know why) couldn't tell him anything. Looks like he'll be having more blood tests and probably another transfusion. Poor thing he can't wait to get home, he's a very picky eater and always been thin but of course has lost more weight. Very worrying. Over the last few months I've been ordering him stuff to be delivered from Asda, which is useful but really wish he was nearer so I could do more.

f1, I for one really enjoy your wittering so please don't stop.

roamin' are you safe to be left alone again so soon? I bet you have fun.

Pippa good luck for tomorrows appointment, hope all goes well.

    Love to all, xxx
