aww toots so pleased that you have an impending hot date!! Very exciting...fingers toes and everything possible crossed for you! how exciting! Just popped n between w*** and knitting to see how things are but its a quick visit!

Jean - thanks so much for doing the latest update for me! I have to confess that it's taking me ages to come back down to earth after my trip back to the UK; my heart is still there! Hope Edna Bucket is not around for long.

Thanks to you all for your words of encouragement - as you say, Easter is not too far away. Just hope I can make it!

Tootifrooti - it all sounds so exciting!

Elaine - talking about the ironing; well, on Sunday I just couldn't keep my eyes open (the allergy thing that got me before Christmas seems to have come back, and it's been keeping me awake at night), so I put the ironing board up in the afternoon and thought I'd just sit down for ten minutes before I started it and, an hour and a half later I woke up to find that DH had done it all for me! It was a lovely surprise because it had seemed like such a chore.

Chalky - as someone who has been there before, I know it probably feels as if the work will never get done, but it will! You are lucky in that you've managed to escape having to live in the house while the work is being done! I did say 'never again' after this house but we will be looking for something to do up at auction in the UK when we sell up here, so I know I'll have to face it at least once more! Hope DIL and William are both doing well.

ISOM - did you have a good time in Italy? I hope so; you deserve it!

Shaz - hugs to you.

Mrs Moneypenny - hope going back to work wasn't too difficult. How are Lily and Lola - I hope they are doing well.

Well, I'm still trying to shake off this allergy thing, but may have to go back to the doctor. I was fine in the UK the whole time I was there, so I can only assume I've developed an allergy to France!

Anyway, I am doing Geezers squares at the moment because my brain seems to be back in the UK along with my heart, and the squares are easy and, as Chalky says, soothing to do. I am also busy thinking of things to make for the grandchildren for Easter, so that will keep my mind active, I'm sure!

I hope you all have a good day today. This afternoon I am visiting a good friend for a cuppa so I am really looking forward to that, and it will cheer me up.

kathy, an allergy to france, is a good enough reason to move back to uk, it will soon be easter before you know it. how wonderful your OH is to do all the ironing
f1, your not the only one who manages to lose hours surfing the net. as a friend of mine says leave the dusting, it only comes back anyway lol:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
had a good nights sleep last night, and taking things easy now, til new meds kick in, off back to see cpn next tues, but may phone before if things get as bad as they did this past weekend
have managed just one square so far, even a few lines of knitting are leaving me exhausted

My hubby was a "blind date" and we are still together nearly 18 years later!

sock-knitter - glad you slept better - I too have been so tired the last few weeks dont know whether its time of year, my "problems" or a virus (which is what everyone says if you say you are under the weather:D) - hope you feel brighter soon xxx
Infact Im going to be completely lazy today dont feel like doing much at all - ive been hurting for a few days - housework will be still there when I "resurface" - go on tell me to move my b** I dont mind I wont be offended !!!:rotfl:

Let me say I am not fit never really have been but even worse because of my health - I may have my hands full with this one - he was out for a 3 mile run last night after a 12 hour shift at work:eek:

we sent loads of texts from under the duvet;):cool::rotfl: he is planning a meet so i am getting very nervous.:eek:

kathy def sounds like you have an allergy to something in your house or garden - another good reason to come back to the UK;):D

f1 get off your butt:rotfl: and do a little 5 min job - nothing to adventurous - maybe put away 10 things? you will feel happier and not sure but maybe the little movement will help you from stiffening up too much - I can appreciate how you feel - I had a bad night of pain from the fibromyalgia so dont feel wonderful today but will potter. Hope you have a nice day.

have potential visit from my cousin and her hubby before easter so will concentrate on spare room - the rest of the house is not bad.

need to do baby blanket to take to hospital next week - my friend's daughter had wee boy 9lb 10oz on the 20th dec. she asked me to do something hand knitted and saw the pom-pom wool and thought it would make a lovely blanket so thats easy and I will try to doa wee cardi as well. apparently her daughter likes hand knits and she is only early 20s - very unusual these days.

and need to sort out sqaures too.

I'm waiting for a phone call from my brother, the one who lives in scotland. He sees the consultant today and I'm a bit worried as he was taken into hospital two weeks ago because his blood isn't making white cells, due to the chemo. He's improved a lot but is very week, as he also had an infection and had antibiotics, and we all know what they do. It's also his 60th birthday today.
