Morning
and what a damp and dismal one it is too!!!
Cant' stop too long got to leave for the hospital soon.
chalky - thanks for the recipe I have just e'mailed it to my DIL she will add it to her collection, she is such a good cook and she loves it never buys... eggs, bread, cakes, jam, chutney, pickles, vegetables, or salads she either makes them or grows them... not the eggs that's down to the chickens
shaz - I hope things improve for you soon
kathy - hows the cold
f1 - yes I hate throwing any woolly bits away as well
ISOM - what a shame, but as you said go out with a BANG
MrsTwins - the blankets have turned out lovely as always...I spotted some of mine as well, Have you a pattern for the butterflies or can you tell me where I can find one? would love to have a crack at them
did a few more 6" squares for L/H last night I need something that doesn't really take much concentration at the mo
oops got to go

I'm sorry to see that so many people are having a tough time just now,
hope this tree hat that i have made for one of our Granddaughters will give you a smile0 -
Hi everyone
Anakat - your tree hat is fantastic and really conjures up Christmas! What a lot of work you've put into it.
Pippa - thanks for asking; I am very slowly getting over it, but it's not been the best cold I've had! The worst thing is how tired it makes me feel. Hope today's trip to the hospital goes smoothly for you and your OH.
Shaz - I'm glad they are giving you a lot more attention and care, and I hpe they can sort the meds out to suit you.
Mrs Twins - I've just looked at all those beautiful blankets, and they really cheered me up. I still can't believe I've won something; I'm not the luckiest person I know! I shall let you know when it arrives.
Well, I hope you are all having a good day. I'll call in a bit later; at the moment, I can't look at the screen for too long at a time.
Hugs to you all.

Pippa-- I think of you both every day x Glad recipe is being sent on it is so delish!
Kathy-- Hope you are feeling better. Your trip sounds more and more exciting-- You will be travelling with your feet in the air when you start off
Ptb --- Have you thought of writing a letter to you Mum -- It might help xx
Kinsey -- Lots of love.
F1-- I hope you are enjoying half term.
ISOM -- Good Luck with the bazaar!
pSSO--- I can only imagine little J running everywhere now!
Seakay-- Hope you are feeling a little brighter.
Mrs M-- I bet you can not wait to give such special twins a cuddle! Would you like me to send you the next batch of premmie hatd DMIL makes so that you can take them to the hospital which has obviously done such amazing work with your little ones?
Jean -- Are you buried under a pile of Operation Washavbles
Lots of gentle thoughts to all. May we miss you. New friends please pop in as it is lovely to hear your news
Well I am catching up on here whilst DOH is at the Oesteopath --- Back acute this morning-- Pain is so horrible!
I finished my one 6" x 6' strip last night. It is quite effective just working in 1 complete strip but changing the pattern every 6 " so that it gives the illusion of squares but Oh! my good ness what an easier task for the person sewing up!!
Now I am working with a 6' chain and long rows to make 6" width!
All this to avoid the other front of the little blue cardi!!
Take care everyone xTry and do a good deed every day.0 -

Link to hat pattern
I'm glad you like it
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/christmas-tree-hat---adult
I used two strands of DK
Then added random decorations and made a pocket inside the back to hold the battery thing for the lights, which were from the £1 shop.
I think the hardest part was catching in the lights wires but making sure the hat stayed stretchy enough to wear.
I also knitted it flat on two needles as I just can't get on with knitting round0 -
Having a minute blog hopping and this might be an idea for the C******** pile
