  • Thanks for all your comments on my current "state of being" (or not as the case maybe!
Am feeling a little brighter - I think I am more than ready for this few days away, change of scenery and all that and once I have relaxed and breathed in the sea air then I will be fine! I think I just needed to get how I was feeling out into the open.

Have been there, done that, before where I have kept everything inside, and this ended up in a dark downward spiral - so at least now I can get stuff out there and deal with it, if that makes sense!

So - I shall relax, look after myself and just be me --- once I have this interview on Monday outa the way.

Thanks for being there, it really does help!

Shaz - we MUST make some time to get together if we can. And we're off to Norfolk - staying on a little farm campsite in a wee vilalge called Waxham (and I believe not all that far away from Black Crow!!). Really looking forward to it, although hate all the planning beforehand (we camp....); but once i am there and all is sorted then it doesn't take me long to get into holiday mode.

Re stash busting - am thinking of just grabbing a ball or two and making SOMETHING with it, rather than spending too long deciding.

    Again, all ideas welcome!

    Big hugs,

    Dawn xxx

aww PTB sorry you feel low and carp. Ca understand the probs with stash being overwhelming...I just decluttered mine and can confirm that them there other knitters get quite childlike when opening a free bag of wool! I had lots of odds and end that I just knew I would never use and it felt much better clearing out...
As others have said a break will do you good. Sometiems when my mojo vanishes I have a wee break and then come back to it...maybe try sommat else for a bit - sewing;crochet; tapestry etc? Just a thought and as sekay said if you still feel belugh when you get back go see your gp for a chat...
Have now done so much tidying that ive lost a pattern so am off to locate it so that I can, once again, finish the bell cardi!

    Hi All
Just a quick post before getting on with "stuff".
Congrats to Pol - we're aunties again!
Dawn, maybe if you aren't in a concentrating mood, some 8 inch squares for Chalky might be a good idea? Should be good for stash busting which always lifts my mood. Maybe ask Mad Maureen for a hooky lesson next time you visit - often it's easier to be shown than try and teach yourself.
ISOM great pic, and with your lovely Mum in it too!
May, glad you are back with us.
I have a mammoth update to put on here when I get a chance as I haven't updated for ages.
Hugs to poorlies and those whose hands are full (stealing from Chalky!) and hope MIAs pop back in soon

PTB... not far from me at all! Waxham is beautiful, when are you down in Norfolk then? I work full time during the day but we could meet up one eve and see if i can inspire you into making something new? If you feel like a bit of crafty-type chat while you are away? I

am only just starting to learn to knit, crochet is more my thing, but i bet you can find inspiration with the miles of dove-blue sky, scarlet poppies, emerald grass, bottle green leaves and white flowers on the weeds in the golden cornfields (just make sure you bring a brolly, has been a wee bit wet inbetween the sunny spells this week and even a lil flood or two!) PM me if you like,

i thought things were too good to be true in my house, things have been very bad tonight, , now its all calm again, i still feel numb, shaky, and dirty, been in bath and shower a few times, but cant get rid of the smell, this whole house smells so bad, my eyes and my throat are stining.
when i've heard people sying they've thrown their kids out in their teens i've always thought how awful, and surely things at home cant be that bad, but now i understand as i feel like doing same.
dont know how much more i can psyically take, let alone mentally, dont even know who rang the police, as they just said it could have been a passer by, but they came with the blue lights flashing
    feel scared and alone
on a positive side, have finished off two teds for tragedy tonight
