f1 thats amazing - what a clever lady you are - well done - you should be very proud of that cake - i wish I could be as adventurous!!!

Pippa not sure whats next but possibly the baby stauff as they just need finishing off and very little knitting so would seem fairly small jobs. just noticed you are making hand warmers with leftover wool - might add that to my list!!!

wont get much kinitting done today - have loads to do before I go away on retreat tomorrow - as always have left everything to last minute!

afternoon all, and a special big thankyou to you all.
i was very suprised when the postman knocked and handed me a parcel, i hadnt ordered anything and wasnt expecting anything, so i gave it a gentle squeeze, and indeed it was squishy, what could it be? i sat down and carefully opened it, and inside was the most beautiful lap blanket, all for me, with a lovely message inside to let me know it was from all of you. i was very emotional and burst into tears, happy ones, to think that you all had done this for me. i love the blanket, and will treasure it always, just as i value the lovely friends i have made on here :grouphug:hugs to each and every one of you

Thank goodness its arrived socky! First class isnt what it was as it was posted first class last Thursday! Anyway main thing is that it is there (phew!) and is sent with much love from us all...a hug in a blanket as we all know how hard its been of late with the boys gone etc! All the regulars contributed and a flood of squares were sent in; alas not all made it into the blanket as I sent it off before they all got here but the remaining squares will now go on to chalky for the next kiss the geezers project...will try get them off soon but wanted to include seakays squares as know she has a few too! So thank you all girls! Whats stars you are and what wonderful squares! Hardly any encouragement needed for them to fit. Socky if you can would you upload a piccy so people can tell what the end one looked like. My apologies to those whose squares arent on it but I was anxious to get it off and maybe sent a bit early so my apologies for that! They will appear on a blanket soon though so watch out for them!
Just back from work after a longish day...knees killing me so going to have some drugs and a snooze (what else is new?!!) ...back later!

Shaz - so pleased you like the blankie, the kiss the geezers one I got lives on my Grannies chair - where I do the knitting and crochet of an evening I just adore it, there are a gazillion cuddles enclosed in that blankie of yours so anytime you need a cuddle, squish or hug just get the blankie.
Off for a lookie see at what you have all been up to......back in a bit.

cant stop looking at the blanket, its so lovely and i have it on my chair. off out for tea soon, but i cant wait til i get back, put pj's on, and blanket over knees and settle for the night
i have no camera lead right now, but son says he'll bluetooth it to my netbook and then i should be able to upload it onto here.
the idea of moving has been put on hold for now, at the moment i cant pack or do anything, and its made me realise how important it is to live near family, especially when help is needed
