    Hi everyone

The temperamental weather here keeps stopping play. I've lost count of the times I've had to unplug everything because we keep having thunder and lightning and, after my recent experience, which cost time and money, I'm taking great care not to lose all my communications again! For August, it's really disappointing; there are lots of holidaymakers here, and I feel really sorry for them.

It's been a real nuisance having to keep going offline; I have loads of catching up to do but it seems that as soon as I log on to something, the storms start again! DH is trying to finish painting the outside of the house, and the weather keeps holding that up, too!

Shaz - hope your wrist is healing to plan.

Pippa - sorry to hear about yours, too. Such a nuisance, isn't it?

May - thoughts and hugs on their way to you.

I have been trying to sort out my stash and WIPs all week and I hope to make a start this afternoon. I seem to have projects all over the place and, eventually, it is starting to get on my nerves.

I found this acronym earlier today which I thought must relate to everyone on here who can't resist buying more wool even if they don't need it: SABLE - Stash Accumulated Beyond Life Expectancy! I know my stash would easily fit into that category!

Well, I'd better check my emails then make a start on my stash. I'll do the latest update tomorrow when I have more time.

I hope you are all having as good a day as possible.

    Afternoon all

Got back from Dental Hospital a little while ago, we had a phone call from them at 8:30 this morning asking if we could get there early, luckily we were showered and ready, so I rang for a taxi and off we went .
OH has fallen asleep on the sofa, he is worn out. I have been to the chemist to get a prescription made up anti-b's and painkillers. I havent driven since I sprained my wrist and changing gear was sooo painful, never mind needs must...

chalky - lovely to see you, so pleased wedding went well.Woolly stuff ooo nice... pics of it when you are back please :D
ISOM - yes swapping over works for me too. I have been doing a few rows each night on a cat blanket for you (one of my WIP's) I am taking it steady though
f1 - how very dare you :rotfl:I would'nt mind if I had partaken of a wee dram but I was stone cold sober... :)
kathy - what a pain having to keep unplugging things. SABLE what a good name,I it think would fit most of us in here :D
Seakay - hope you are feeling a little less achey today
May - I know how you must have felt going to the funeral directors we had the same last year, but they are lovely people and make you feel at ease, well as much as they can in the circumstances
jean - hows things? you are taking it easy I hope :)
toottifrootti - hows the scarf coming along, have you finished it yet
psso - hope all is well with you

I am off to settle down on the sofa with a coffee and a slice of cake
then do a bit on the cat blanket, so TTFN

Hi everyone, hope you are all well.

Been up to my eyes and beyond in family STUFF and been having internet connection problems too  Think I`ll be changing my broadband company.

Anyway, seems I`ve been missing lots of news, poorly wrists, funeral directors :( dodgy comms in France (so whats new there?) lots to catch up on.

SABLE - has been my sig on Loving Hands for a few months now and describes my state perfectly, although I am trying to alleviate the situation ;) Not very successfully I must admit.
Probably sums up most of us.

Off to see what has been going on in my absence.

    Back later,hopefully anyway.
