Hello all! Thanks for good wishes and hugs, they really do help! Have had a more relaxing day today listening to cricket and doing some gentle knitting and feeling a little better for it. Mind you - all washing up and housework items have been shut out of sight to achieve this, but they are still praying on my mind a little!
Socky = just a thought but for an indoors pet hamsters or gerbils might be better. Guinea pigs are very cute but are of a size that should really have a large area to run around in or their muscles start to waste and they can start to exhibit abnormal behaviours. If kept indoors they're going to need 3-4 hours a day outside the cage to roam freely in a room where they cannot damage wires etc, or they need a chicken run sized area outside with access to waterproof shelter.0 -
hi all, had a fab day out, walked to the top of ilkley moors, had lunch out and went in the shops after. got a ball of new scarf woolby james c brett, called star lites, very glittery and knits up similar way to the can can yarn
seakay the cage i've bought is huge, its bigger than most hutches, and the piggies will be able to run around in the bedroom where they will be housed as their is no wires or anything for them to chew, it was josh's old room, but is empty now, except for the carpet and curtian and the huge cage, and i will be sure to let them out everyday, and in the warmer days, i've also got them an outdoor run, so they can play on the grass
off to try out my new wool, if i dont fall asleep first, i'd forgotten how tiring a day in the fresh air can be
hugs all

happy birthday pfungi and mrs Twins-hope you both have a great day!
Quiet day here; wigrain (wine..= migraine.!) lingering from yesterday so dropped mum off and been sorting stuff out...flat was getting v cluttered so had a good chuck out and sort out and things look less cluttered! Makes you realise how much rubbish I own, although most of it is some kind of fibre whether wool, silk, cotton...!!
Not much planned for the day other than doing quilt and snooze later-life of excitement me!
Hope that people are ok; thinking esp of may, roaming, seakay and psso and hoping youre chilling, resting and getting well.
socky hope that the guines pigs or whatever you get are ok and what you want..keep us posted!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
HI everyone - just popping in to wish Happy Birthdays to PRfungi and Mrs Twins:bdaycake::bdaycake: Hope you both have brilliant days!
Jean - the vinegar smell will definitely. Lots of people use vinegar as a fabric conditioner (and it really works!), and the smell doesn't linger at all.
Yet again, we have been distracted from 'normal' things over the last couple of days. I've been madly baking and cleaning this morning to try and catch myself up!
Lots of hugs to everyone, and a special one to Maytaurus. Will try and pop in later on this afternoon. I still haven't caught up with all the news on here lately.
