mrs-moneypenny - what is a cemetry card? I have never heard of them before
Anne
x
i asked if the little laminated cards with poems on the size of credit cards would be ok on a grave as i wasnt sure if the laminated type finish would keep the rain out and girl in shop saiod they had some cemetry cards that were the size of normal birthday/anniversary cards but the wording was more appropraite, the one i picked is
Dad you are missed so very much
sometimes i wish i could turn back time
and had not left things unsaid.
But i have lovely memories
which are tied with a golden thread.
You were always there when i needed you,
You were someone to rely on,
But now that you're not here with me,
it's your shoulder i want to cry on.
I miss you so very much,
more than words can say,
And i my heart you're with me
each and every day.

kathy sorry that french red tape has got you tied up in knots again
SK glad the patterns arrived,if you need any others klet me know.
I think you are doing more than enough for the boys you are giving them their share of the money you get for them and youve brought loads of stuff for their flats or given them things from yours - if they had to do it all from scratch themselves they would find money doesnt go that far these days. stick to your guns and tell them sorry but there is no more money apart from their halves tell them which shops are the best value and let them start to learn to budget, it will be haard im not pretending it wont but they cant keep griding you down like this and expecting everything you have.
Pippa so glad the tumor was taken out whole and things are looking positive
ISOM i think youve made the right decision you cant stick to a deit thats making you feel ill and miserable
yesterday was a lovely day dh took the day off and we went up to bradgate park with youngestDS walked round for 3 hours the views were fantastic and saw loads of deer we were sitting on a rock just enjoying each others company and the views and the most magnificent stag just sauntered by with his head up looking so proud of himself he stopped to glance over at us then went on his way .the rins were closed at the time we went but went up to old john and could see for miles. had a lovely meal out in the evening just us two.

Good morning everybody and a big hug tucked in too!
What a lovely lot of people posting and hope the MIA'S and lovely lurkers are OK!
Pippa -- Lots of love to you and DOH
Jean and Elaine are you feeling better I hope so.
Mra Moneypenny -- That sounds like a lovely expedition -- I bet you had a lovely time.
Shaz-- I am pretty useless at tough love but I do agree with everybody when they say the boys will be so grateful to you when they learn to stand on their own two feet. I heard a saying the other day and think their is some truth in it --- A mother is only as happy as her unhappiest child!
ISOM -- Slowly, slowly catchee monkey! Please let us know when you have lost half a stone!
Kathy-- I do not know how you are keeping your cool with all this red tape. But I think it is just as well you are because there would be a tremendous explosion if you let go!
Momma bear -- I am soon going to be a Nannybear -- Your little one sounds scrummy! Thank you so much to Anakat and Kinsey for your kindness to little Gilberto!
To all the newbies --Hope all your woolly adventures are going well

Hi everyone
Mrs Moneypenny - I am so sorry that I missed your birthday the other day. I hope you had a good one.
Pippa - I hope you and OH are able to relax a bit now.
Chalky - I like that saying; it just makes so much sense, doesn't it? That stag must have been an amazing sight for you! I just love wildlife, especially when you see something you just weren't expecting! Now and again, we have red kites flying directly above us, as though putting on a display for us. It always makes me feel honoured to have been chosen as an audience!
Thanks everyone for letting me rant off yesterday - I needed to or I would have exploded! I am still doing battle but the good thing is that I actually have an email address now and a name attached to it of someone who responds quickly to my emails, and is looking into things for me. I have a bit of hope at last, and that is progress indeed!
Jean - how are you? I've been thinking of you a lot and hope that things are going as well as they can.
Elaine - hope you are well.
Shaz - I honestly think that what the boys are doing will do them the world of good. I'm sure you'll start to see welcome changes in them soon. I hope you are taking it easy when you can.
Well, I've just been shopping so I'd better go and put it all away. The sun is actually shining today - the first time for about ten days!

Just popping in while on lunch break...
Shaz the boys will need to see an under 18's adviser at the job centre and will need to sign on and as far as I am aware (without knowing all details!) will be eligible for bens. While they are coming through they will be able to get a crisis loan so you shouldnt be forking out for them. Can understand your desire to support them though
Chalky I HAVE lost 9 ibs...weighed myself this am! Will slow down now that Im not doing CD but not a bad start!
Miol rant away - can totally understand why its so frustrating for you...esp with chubby babies to be cwtched!
Chalky enjoy the quiet w/end - sounds like you could do with one with all that rushing around!
Loving hands new challenges out Sun!! The shawl is coming on sloooowly! Will try and upload piccy of latest jumpers that mum and i have made for local munchkins later!
Mrs M the day out sounds lovely...I love stags and would struggle to eat them because of this! They are SO cute!

I don't know if anyone has been touched by Senile Dementia. It is such a horrible disease and the funeral I went to on Tuesday was for a friends Mum who has struggled for many years. The whole family has been so saddened by her demise.
This was the song played at the funeral and the words are so apt.

Ironically after I typed that collegues started having a conversation about how yummy venison and veal are...kept out of those!! Couldnt eat rabbit either!
Home via tesco where I managed a mix of healthy and non! 9ibs wont happen again and was only due to cd! Now on to slow and steady approach!
Lovely song chalky...very emotive. Mum is high risk for dementia and as the years go on I try to steel myself but not sure you can with that kind of devastation plus she is likely to be like granny who was a right madam when she was "lost" inside herself!! In some ways funny but devastating on the otherShe was ok but awful for us. When I did my sw training I did consider EMI but went for children instead...find it horrifying and fascinating at the same time but know how awful it is for families to watch someone you love there physically but unable to remember even closest family names...
