I must be doing something wrong.......started directly after lunch and have only got to the side on the sole! So think that KINSEY GETS THE BEST AUNTIE TITLE
KINSEY - I think you win that little converse trainers job...the baby will be 18 years old by the time I get the pair done -I will continue because I hate not being able to do something -especially after I SAID I WOULD HAVE A GO.....They can dangle off the rear view mirror on the camper when finished I will post proper photo's but my hookering just isn't up to it. Learning to keep my eye on the pattern too so its all a big learning curve.
Mrs moneypenny - I advocate doing snowpeeps all year round so you have plenty for the school fete - especially if it gets you out of that H****wor* stuff....
back later, when I crack a bit more of the trainer!

Just walked to and back from town and now it is a bit of Wimbledon but firstly Jean -- I thank you again and googled this -- hope it helps

Kinsey-- Thank you so much also --- I really feel so lucky to belong to such a lovely group. A second pair would be wonderful if you are able. My DDIL is such a lovely girl and would not dream of spending their hard earned pennies on Designer Baby gear so I know she would be absolutely delighted with them Thank you so much !
They have asked us to "scrub up" the Moses basket my son had 32 years ago when he was a baby so DOH is busy in the garden.I know I will have to order a new mattress and goodness knows where the drapes have gone but it will be a lovely project for DDIL and I to be involved in.
We are being VERY good and even though very excited we are not making any suggestions or choosing things for them so when she asks for things which we are able to help with we are delighted.
Keep up the Snow People !!!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Jean Crossed posts-- Thank you so much for trying them and please whatever you do let them stress you out. I am so grateful for you trying on my behalf!Try and do a good deed every day.0

quite agree...lovely bunch you are! I can vouch for Kinsey's abilities as she did a fantastic job with the lion who I meant to say btw Kinsey is MUCH loved by his owner - a good thing that hes made of strong cotton as is dragged all over the place!!
Very exciting to have a baby on the way - I have some lovely debbie bliss baby books if any use?; my friends baby A is trying to roll over and sleeps with his octopus who is a real talking piece and much loved - even better not to hard to knit!
Managed to take an hour off and took part in a daring wool mission; alas wool I have is way too dark for the shrug so have gone for lighter and will cast in again (for the gazzilionth time!)...
Counting the days down to hol...have clocked up 600+ miles this month so no wonder Im skint and knackered!
Roaming hope youre managing to rest? Psso you too!
Re the snow people dont forgot you can save up old ends of wool bits and use that for stuffing although I give mine to the birds as like the idea of multicolored nests!!
Mums back and had a nice time but is happy to return to the hovel!!
Off to cast on and get ready to shout at the apprentice-glass of white in order me thinks!!! big hugs!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
ISOM so glad to hear the lion is holding up. You work too hard girl, the milage is on top of the days work I suppose, that's what DH does some weeks as well as 10 hours work, poor soul is only fit for sleeping when he gets home.
Chalky lining a moses basket will be a doddle for a lady of your abilities, choosing the material will be the hardest bit. Your DIL sounds lovely.
Roamin' my mother in law used to say if a pattern doesn't look right just follow it 'blind', it usually works, but of course not always.
mioliere I'll save those cuddles til I see them again and give them extra, thankyou. Any more news about the farm? Is the son definately going to help?
Love to everyone else as well. xxx0 -
A little bit of a walk down memory lane
Here is the crib this little chap was in 32 years ago and just look at that young mummy!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi everyone
Kinsey - yes, the son is definitely moving over in about three weeks or so, with his wife and baby, so it's all systems go at the farm. They collected a shower we had spare when we replaced ours, a sofa that we didn't need, and some kitchen units that we won't be using. In return, I have hundreds of courgettes from their garden, some lettuces, four pork filet mignons, and loads of their delicious sausages - which was completely unexpected! I am now looking for ways to use the courgettes because I don't think they freeze well. I'll probably make soup!
Chalky - would love to see 'before' and 'afters' of the Moses basket! What a lovely project that will be for you both, and for the best of reasons!
ISOM - you'll certainly deserve your holiday, won't you? How on earth do you keep going! Which part of Italy are you going to? It's a beautiful country, isn't it?
Hope you all have good evenings!
