Hope you are all well and have better weather than here. Sun came out to play for a wee while but it`s been showery off and on all day.

Gradually feeling a little better every day, although felt a bit rubbish today so just sitting knitting :j Smoothie hats are building up.

Pippa - good to see DH is managing something to eat. Porridge is great, nice and easy to swallow. Not sure about putting raisins in though.......but then I`m a Scot and the only way for me is au naturel and definitely no sugar.:p

Chalky - have you looked out the baby patterns yet ??

Jean - still behaving ? It`s so boring this `being good` malarkey isn`t it. Don`t think I`ll be putting the knicks on over the trousers though, mine aren`t as dainty as Superman`s, more Mama Cass :rotfl:.
Re counting down to Christmas - I`d better look out my Jean Greenhowe book and do some santas and snowmen soon for the school fayre. DD1 is inclined to leave it to the last minute to ask for donations, forgetting that it takes a wee bit of time to do them.

Seakay - hope you feel a bit better soon and get the right `cocktail` of meds sorted.

ISOM - how`s the spinning going?

Oooh better remember to update !!

  • Elaine, I will gladly do you some snowmen/snow-women............let me know how many I can just add them to the Baden School fete list BUT I will send them to you naked, with separate scarves...needing stuffed, stitched up and faces and buttons if that's OK with you, happy to fit them in over the next couple of months - gives you time to do other more important things.......PERHAPS ALL THE LOONY LOOMERS will have cracked how to make the snow-persons too and will assist you -- there again, they probably want to make exciting stuff instead while trying out their new skills.

I am so fed up with sitting doing very little, today I was allowed to press (its a big table model) the voile summer curtains that should have gone up weeks ago, while DH took down the heavy winter ones and packed them away - dirty - for me to come across at a far later date, then hung the summers ones for me. Apart from that I have managed two rows on the heart blanket (I know its pathetic but I will improve) Seems I get two days when I am up for anything (that's the knickers on the outside of the trousers superwoman me) then the remainder of the week I am just a shambling old wreck.............roll on the finish of the meds and the treatments that's all I can say!

Off for a walk up to the greenhouse and water the plants, there aren't many of them this year either och ye can only eat so many tomatoes and peppers anyway!
Love and hugs and positive vibes to everybody, take care, I will return

Just popping in before w*** Didnt realise Id been awol ALL weekend; partly due to trying to get the hang of a lacy knitting pattern (Hip hop shrug on ravalry!) and having to frog a few times!!
Spinning is coming on and I went on Sat - only a few people and the mean one was away; got a puncture and they helped refill to get me to garage! People are lovely arent they - one womans oh is a mechanic and would have fixed it later in the day but I couldnt wait until 4 but was so touched that he would do it! The woman was from the kitchen where we go (makes my bacon and marmalade sandwich!) so wasnt even a spinning person!
Now roaming and Psso I KNOW its frustrating but PLEASE go gently; your bodies are fighting off nasty things and you need to get them battle ready for the fight so all this doing things (ironing, roaming why would you want to do that when well!!) sucks your energy so no more than pottering please! and even then snoozes after!!
Sorry must on as just seen time! Have a good day all! Big hugs

    Hi everyone

ISOM - I think that most people are kind and helpful; it's just that we seem to hear more on the news about those who aren't. Bacon and marmalade? Would never have thought of that as a combination!

Jean - it will be lovely when all the treatment is over, so just look forward to that. It's good that both you and Elaine are following doctors orders.

Pippa - so glad that OH is managing to eat something, and porridge is so good for you.

Seakay - good to hear from you. I do hope the med situation gets sorted out so that life is easier for you.

Well, I should be able to get the update done later on this morning. My office is the coolest room in the house (and the coldest in winter!) and, as it's already almost 30 degrees, I shall try and spend as much time in here as I can!

Hope I'm not too late for the update - totals are correct in my signature.

Last week was hectic, trying to get the house back in order after decorating, it's been a bit topsy turvey for a couple of months now. All the lounge furniture was in the dining room, but we're back straight now with a nice new lounge, which is the coolest place in the house at the moment, so I'll be 'lounging' in there today, I think.

I've been really trying to catch up on puppets lately - nearing the 40 mark at the moment.

Thank you Anne, for your parcel - I still haven't got around to opening it as we had a hectic weekend!

I need to catch up on a few things today - and try to stay cool!

    Love to everyone

Good morning and love to all xxx Every day seems to be a bit hectice at the moment -- it's all these moments spent daydreaming about the little one . Oh! And choosing patterns etc -- Oh! and a little? bit of baby knitting going on. Well a baby due in December is going to need cardies aren't they?
Thank you all for your lovely congratulatory messages about the new baby x

After a glorious day here yesterday it is a bit cloudy today. Actually I am glad because I have a friend coming for a Reiki treatment so its better if it is cool.

Well Jean, Elaine, Pippa and DOH and Mrs MW and anyone else struggling with ill health right now-- a new week and I hope it brings continued improvement
and a return to woolly strength. That old saying "Slowly, slowly catchee maonkee!" comes to mind. Oh how I wish we all had the ability to time/distance travel in a second then we could all share a cuppa and do that horrible ironining and Housework for you. We would make a formidable team arriving, whisking around then having a hug methinks. Anyway rest well in between any busy bits and just remember we all really do care xxx

Well must get on but lots of love to all xx
Has anyone heard the Cd by Bliss -- A Hundred Thousand Angels--- It is wonderful and so calming -- I could listen to it for hours.

    UPDATE--- 3 eMERGENCY SQUARES
Try and do a good deed every day.

I'm just about to do the update so I'll include yours, Puppetlady, and yours, Chalky, and anything after that will go on next week's.

Mrs Moneypenny - it's already very hot here; too hot to go outside so I'm getting on with inside jobs, mainly admin. I have some ironing to do but it's definitely too hot for that!

I had a really productive week last week with my online work, so I'm hoping that continues in the same way. It works well because, as long as I meet the deadlines required, I can more or less work when it suits me. Last week it did take up a lot of my time because I hadn't expected so much work, and it all got a bit chaotic, but once I'm on a roll I can plan things better - hopefully!

Anyway, off to do the update and I'll post back on here when it's done.
