    Hi all

Very miserable looking out there today and its none too warm either
so looks like a day doing exactly what I feel like doing...as you might guess it involves some of the woolly stuff... oooo bliss ;)

f1 widow - I managed to catch TENKO on Freeview at 4:00 on the Yesterday channel its number 203 on our set as we are on cable, but I think they are all different its channel 12 on Mums TV. I love it :)
anakat - With the Jan Eaton book I use a 4mm hook and Double knitting yarn as suggested, but sometimes need to go down to 3:5 mm hook as some of them do tend to vary in size. I had some DK given to me a while ago and it is a little thinner than normal, so could that be the reason you had problems with sizing?
psso - glad your arm is feeling better now, but dont go overdoing things take it a bit steady :)
ISOM - so pleased it arrived, it does take the shine off things though having to wait so long does'nt it
shaz - happy holiday, hope the boys behave
jean - hope you are taking it easy today...and get those knickers back inside the trousers what do you think you are playing at:rotfl::rotfl: :rotfl:time enough for that when you are 100% again;)

I did some more granny squares last night I am getting addicted to them, got quite a pile now. Must go get the looms out and give them a try.

Have good days all and I hope the weather is better where you are its just started raining again here.

    Hi everyone

Cakes in the oven so I'm taking a break on here.

Pippa - you're so right about the Grandparents' Club - it's so special, isn't it? It doesn't matter how many babies have been born in the world, each and every one is a little miracle! Chalky - throughout this journey, we will be lapping up all the news of little Gilberto! I just love, love, love babies!

Jean - I haven't even looked for that Sky channel (though, as I don't subscribe to Sky, I doubt I'll be able to receive it) but I've never heard of that link - do you need to download anything to be able to watch the programmes on it? By the way, I hope you are still taking it easy.

ISOM - thanks for asking about BIL. To date, he's just plodding on and my sister says he's a lot fitter than her at the moment. We're still waiting for a prognosis from the doctors but, so far, they are very pleased with him.

F1 - I remember when my boys used to stretch their bedtimes!

Shaz - how did the end of term go for the boys?

Well, the ovens beeping so I'd better get on. Later I have some more online writing to do. I've been asked to do lots of articles this week; I'll have done twenty three by tomorrow! Luckily for me, someone likes my style!

Have a good day, everyone. Here, it's baking hot already - about 28 degrees the last time I look at the outside thermometer. We even have a weather warning for one day next week; we've been advised that exerting ourselves out of doors will be dangerous! Sounds like a good excuse to stay in with the air-con on and some crochet!

  • the knicker pants are on the inside today.....I am BEING VERY GOOD.
Kathy, no download.....BUT I think you only get to watch live (as it were) and I think there is a limit Janette using ORANGE isp gets a message after about a couple of hours...ie you can't watch 10 episodes all on one day! I use it every now and again, but have a programme running that hides my ISP.....so don't get the same issues she has....but it is free and its a safe one there are tons that aren't.
off to open my LH birthday buddy birthday pressie....its a huge box we were only meant to spend a fiver? So wondering what I have got.
    Later folks

Hi Jean - would love to see what's in the big box! Is that programme that hides your ISP Expat? I've seen loads of different ones but am wary about downloading something dodgy! I'm glad you're being good, although it must be hard for you!

    ooo first on :hello:
    Morning all
Looking forward to a few hours in the garden later, we have been promised a dry, warm and sunny day today...

I got the looms out last night and did a baby hat, was surprised how quickly it grew, once I got the knack and I quite enjoyed working on it. So :)THANKS JEAN for the tutorial links they were nice and easy to follow
I have some balls of cotton lurking somewhere must have a look for them, I fancy doing a bag on the larger loom

Off to do OH a late brekkie, he slept better last night and has woken up ravenous, not that he can eat a lot but a bowl of porridge and sultanas is just the ticket he says ;)

    Have a nice day everyone

Sorry to have been out of the loop for a while - feeling quite weak and trying different meds so everything takes forever, even reading! Haven't been able to keep up with my favourite threads as I would like, but love and hugs to all and hope that everyoone has been enjoying some sunshine recently.
