We have arrived home safely to full on Birthday celebrations for my DD1

mrs M special pink hugs for you...my brother died when he was a toddler (he would be 6 years older than me) and mum says you learn to live with it but the loss of a child is like no other...sure they'll be paying in heaven. We always say that when theres a clap of thunder its Hugo scoring a goal against my grandpa!

busy weekend here...took friend for day out Friday and then Sat was spinning which isnt as easy as some make it look lol! Have dyed some wool which Ill try and spin for my ravelry swap which I hope will be better than the last one I did! Off to have a bash and then the week begins again!

Morning all, well it`s Monday again -sigh- start of another week. I`m sure someone has put two Mondays in a week now.

Sun woke me up very early this morning, shining in through the window, so just got up as I couldn`t get back to sleep.
No point tossing and turning. Had a cuppa and did a few rows of crochet - yes I`m persevering, might even tackle the hexy cardi yet - then I decided to get cracking.

So, while waiting for the kettle to do it`s thing again for another cuppa I loaded the washing machine - load of washing now done and hung out.
Plants in greenhouse watered.
Sausage casserole assembled and now cooking, ready for tonight.
Cleared rubbish out of car - what a tip it was

Now waiting till the shop opens to go and pick up flowers for funeral
Might manage a `power nap` after that or I`ll be falling asleep in the church this afternoon :eek:

Hope the sun shines wherever you are today.

Sorry I haven't been around had an awful April with my dad being diagnosed with cancer and 9 days later he passed away (majorly not happy with the doctors and consultants). Trying to catch up with everything that has been on hold for what seems like months will get back to knitting and crocheting this month to try and help others.

sorry to hear about your dad (hugs)x we went through the same last year with my mom who was 57 passed away from cancer too. At the moment we are suing the hospital and the consultant on the way the acted and the neglect for not seeing within 2 weeks after be refered from her doctor.

Happycrafter - I am so very sorry to hear about your dad; you must be devastated, especially as it was so soon after he was diagnosed. You are in my thoughts at this very sad time.
