afternoon all, hope everyone is enjoying the sun
    lovely jacket jean
had a crochet lesson from my friend today, have managed to do a circle, hoping to have another go tonight, see if i can do it on my own, once my friend has shown me what the pattern says it seems to make more sence than just a bunch of letters, still find knitting patterns easier to understand tho
pippa, sounds like you and dgs had a fab time, i used to like playing with water with my two when they were little, shame they had to grow up lol
chalky, have a safe trip back to uk
kathy, made me smile, picturing u all chasing the cows lol

Anne sounds like the perfect way to spend a day, guddelling about with water, I have just spend an age and a half looking for the bookmark I had for that MAGIC RING or MAGIC CIRCLE for the crochet cast on, honestly if I had ANOTHER brain cell it would get lonesome! Did find it eventually, I could have done half a jumper by now instead of messing around. I am starting on that little heart first tho', so night night, back tomorrow

Chalky hope youre having safe journey!
    Seakay hope allergic reaction better?
All well here but just not enough hours in the day - this working malarky seriously gets in the way of ones hobbies lol!! Good though as used to work to live not live to work so at least the balance is the right way round!! Still trying to get the hang of wheel ...discovering her origins is an international affair which Im enjoying! Sewing is coming on and wooly stuff of the knit variety has been on hold while I suss the wheel out!

    Hi everyone

ISOM - the family are all fine, thanks, but I'm missing them badly. Fingers crossed, it won't be long before I can get back over there to see them all. You're right about work - it really does interfere with life, doesn't it? Still, I suppose it's a necessary evil and we'll just have to lump it, sadly. I don't even have to leave the house to work, but it still gets in the way!

Well, we have the most perfect weather here again - blue skies, lovely warm sun, and no clouds. Hope it lasts for the weekend. I have a lovely book fair to go to on Sunday, and there'll be lots of stalls as well.

Today's keep fit regime has involved loading scaffolding and staging onto DH's trailer for a job that he starts tomorrow, and sorting out fence posts for a fence that he's putting up in our garden, when he has the time. No cows, though!

I hope everyone is keeping well and that the weather is good for you all.

    Very quiet in here today...
Bit cold here and we had a spot of rain earlier...when I say a spot I litterally mean a spot ;)

Thank you mrs-moneypenny,Puppetlady and chalky for the PM's :)

Jean - yes it was the perfect way to spend the day...thats an interesting word guddelling...never come across that one before :D
ISOM - mmm yes the ice cream was yumm. Know what you mean live to work/work to live etc...hits us all at some time and we realise we have it the wrong way round ;)
shaz - yes I just love the garden especially when little ones are in it, and DGS loves being outside:j
kathy - thats a novel way to keep fit hefting scaffold poles about, not light are they?;)

Did some granny squares last night for MrsTwins, so used up some more odd bits.
Off to the club later so not much woolly stuff done here tonight

Must go...some grated cheese needed for on the bacon/pasta bake

Anne, I am due out all day but just a quick post to say hope it all goes well tomorrow for your DH.
that crochet stuff is really really really addictive - I can see I will have to go search for some more easy patterns or I will be drowning in a sea of hexagonal jerseys!
Take care ya all, back somewhen.

Have been here, keeping an eye on you all, but merely lurking as still feeling a little not very with it -

anyhoo, I think I have finally mastered the art of the one-hook crocheting thingie, and like Jean have discovered a previously unknown addition to the phenomenon hereby known as the hexagon cardigan/jacket -- :T

My version can be found here:

    which will hopefully work!

    It's a very bright(!) pink....you need sunglasses! :rotfl::D :eek:
