only I ate the cupcakes......oops, sorry have a great day Chalky

I am currently in bed - remember the cough, the tablets and the syrup well they didn't work I have had an allergic reaction (doc said severe - but what does he know), now look a bit like a cross between the Tangoed Man and a mole, change of meds yesterday so should be back on the bounce sometime over the weekend. I have missed you all, tried to do a bit of knitting but the concentration is shot (to ...t) this mornings efforts first button hole on the left, second button hole on the right, third button hole on the left...DOH. So will go back to reading and being quiet. Lots of lovely big squashy cuddles and love being sent to you all.

Thank you for your lovely birthday wishes. I so enjoyed sharing my day with such a special wedding-- I thought she looked absolutely stunning1
Well DD and her 3 friends arrived yesterday and it was such a lovely day -- Perfect. So glad about that as it has been horrible today ( in the 4 winters we have spent here it has never been like this at this time of year!) It is both cold and wet -- What a disappointment for them. They go home on Monday and the glorious weather returns on Tuesday!!!!!!! Grrrhhhhh!
Anyway we shall do our best!!
DOH -- Managed to find 3 balls of wool for my birthday --- very hard here ! So I was well impressed!
    Take Care everyone xxx
Try and do a good deed every day.

Chalky, I'm so glad you have had a good birthday; how lovely to have DD with you, too! Sorry the weather has been so bad but I bet that didn't dampen the day too much. I agree with you, the bride looked gorgeous, didn't she? It was a lovely service and it would have been a good day to have been back in the UK to soak up all that atmosphere!

Have a lovely evening - I'll raise a glass to you as well as to the royal couple!

    Hello Everyone!
Happy Birthday Chalky first of all!

I'm just popping in to say I hope you all enjoyed the Royal Wedding today. I thought it was a fantastic day
and everything seemed so....perfect and they both looked really nice.

Just to let you know that our SIBOL 'Royal Wedding Blanket' won first prize in the Great British Yarn competition!
I am so proud of the Ladies that took part from MSE, Flickr and SIBOL!
The winners were announced today on the Wedding Day and the Blanket has also been sold on EBAY for ......£112.00!
Proceeds of this Auction will go to Prince William and Kate Middletons Charity Gift Fund.

Now if you would like to pop over to SIBOL, I have put up links about Prince Williams Charity and also Sharon's blog where she shows the entries to her competition. SIBOL has won an on-line voucher for £50.00. This will be useful because all the yarn is going towards Blankets for the Elderly.
I'm so grateful to everyone that took part and showed an interest in this special SIBOL project.

I also have a new Ta - Dah too which my friend Brenda has assembled for me.

An eventful day one way or another!
    Enjoy your weekend!
    Hugs Suex

Sue, that's absolutely wonderful! I am thrilled that the blanket won FIRST prize, and I'm so glad I was able to contribute to it! Congratulations to you, and to all those who contributed squares! How wonderful, too, that it has raised so much money for charity! The £50 voucher is well deserved and means that you can buy some more wool for the beautiful blankets that you put together. Well done; all in all, yesterday was a wonderful day, wasn't it?!

Just another thought - I have a feeling that it won't be long before the happy couple think about the pitter-patter of tiny feet; what another challenge for a blanket that would be!

    Once again, congratulations!
