    Hi all,

Just a quick pop in to let you know I have survived `the anniversary day` better than I had hoped.
Yesterday was actually more stressful - don`t know why that should be, maybe anticipation of a hard time, so today was somewhat of a relief. At least that`s all the `firsts` over and done with.

However, I spent a bit of the day in the greenhouse `communing` with his spirit and hauling out his dead grapevine :o - lost to the hard frosts even wrapped in bubble wrap, one less thing to water I suppose.

Think I might have enough speckly wool to do the border for my blanket so I`m knitting faster to get it done before I run out of wool ;) fingers crossed it works.

Big hugs to mrs moneypenny, sock knitter and ISOM for troubled times. Come and offload anytime you need an ear. We`ll be glad to oblige.

Have 4 child free days as DD and SIL are off for the long weekend. It`s the start of the traditional `trades fortnight holiday`so no grandchildren - well apart from little J - but he`s a permanent fixture so doesn`t count really. Not so little now, he had his second lot of jabs yesterday so grandma had to be the baddie and hold him as his mum is a big softy.

Off to bash on with the border. Have a good night all.

    Elaine.x

ps fingers crossed all goes well tomorrow ISOM !!!!

aww big hugs psso! At last, all the firsts done. Good that you communed with the spirit. Mum was at the allotment today - shes been feeling quite bleugh and I asked her when I returned if she had a chat to granny (her mum) while there, which she had and felt better for it.
Mrs M humongous hugs coming your way. So sorry to hear that and hope and pray that any pain is managed and the time you have will be precious for you all.
Have kept myself busy today as much as poss. Will be relieved when its done tomorrow andthen on sat I am taking mums cat to her foster carer from where she will be rehomed. All in all will eb a good week to see the back of. mum has knitted union guy a phone cover (lovely cable down front!) and Ive made yummy cup-cakes!
Am off to bed for another early rise..eek!

mrs moneypenny hugs to you and your family. Horrid time for you.
psso as ISOM says that should be all the 'firsts' over with so here's hoping things get a little easier from now. Love to J.
ISOM all positive thoughts and prayers for tomorrow, and bribery by cupcakes won't do any harm either!

Well, sad news, stray grey cat died today. I knew it was not a young cat, but it went very thin and 'off' very quickly. Poor Pusskin.

Love to everyone, and MIA's, plese let us know you're all ok. xxx

Well not much to report here - had a bit of a row about form filling with Welfare Rights (long story...) actually Ive been quite "edna bucket" (cant remember which lovely one says that now - think it was roamin) - its the British Grand Prix this weekend so a) my lot are very excited to be going - I have some visitors most days so catering department (errr me) will be in kitchen b) the roads (apparently!) are heaving c) there are a constant stream of helicopters overhead taking people in and out of the circuit d) I cant wait to see the red arrows come over - as a child I saw them so very much as we lived near Alconbury Air Base (I have a tear when they come over - stupid me) e) BUT am feeling a little down as my stupid head wont get better enough for me to go with the boys to see it as well
On a positive note Ive been doing some cards for Mrs M and my next project is to get a bag of stuff together to send chalky (chalky dont hold your breath you may turn blue tee hee!)

Anyway Ive gabbled enough (teach me to leave it too long) oh boy Ive just remembered kathy - I saw that you were not so well hope you are feeling better now - catch up soon love J xxx
