Hi everyone - I've been trying to get on here all day! I woke up late which has left me feeling all at odds for the rest of the day. I've had to run a few errands which all seemed to take ages.

Sock-knitter - sorry you've had problems with your DS. I hope things get better for you.

Chalky - hope the bottom is better, you poor thing.

Well, it seems the snake must have found its own way out of the conservatory, thank goodness. I'm not scared of snakes but it did make me jump because it was unexpected!

I tried to do some crochet last night but I just kept dozing off. I was not quite 100%, and the just-too-hot weather hasn't helped. Mind, it's just right today because there's a lovely cooling breeze. Anyway, whatever was making me feel under the weather seems to have gone now, so I hope to get some things achieved this week.

There's an English book club here that visits various places and it's held at a cafe in a village about 10 miles away on the first Tuesday of the month, so I'm off there tomorrow to stock up my supply of books (accompanied by the list of titles you gave me, Chalky!) Great prices - €3 each or three books for €6, and the same for DVDs, too, so I shall see what I can find.

    Anyway, hope everyone is well.

Maytaurus - we haven't heard from you for ages; I do hope everything's OK.

aww poor chalky...not nice! Hope your bottom feels less sore soon.
Miol sorry to hear about the snake. Like you Im not scared of them but doesent mean you want one in the house does it eh!
Sock knitter hope things settle for you soon.
Pol isnt she lovely to do the lion! There is a 2yr old boy who will adore it.
Knitting group tonight which was nice. Im starting to feel quite anxious about Weds and Fri so didnt enjoy it as much as normal; nightmares are back in abundence so am looking forward to a good nights sleep at the weekend. We have to take poppycat to foster carers house on Sat so that will be emotional as well. Poor love is overgrooming alot and now has bare tummy and back legs which is very upsetting...
On knitting front the bell cardi is coming on; I love the cols but less keen on the wool which doesent look as good as cotton...good to learn about how texture affects knitting etc...

The house is a wreck, so it's a big clean up today :-)
Got the front of a jumper I'm knitting on the needles :-) Hoping to sit out and do some later when all the cleaning is done.

aww bless him Salome. Lovely that he at least understood that it was his special day.
Quiet day here today in readyness for tomorrow. Have been keeping busy mindlessly farming my fronteirville farm on facebook - compleatly pointless but serves its purpose.

Good morning to one and all
Glad to get up this morning as could only sleep on one side!! Well bruises are the colours of the rainbow so thankfully bottoms are not on show!!!

Salome -- What a lovely picture. So glad so many of your lovely family were there to make a fuss of him
Sock Knitter -- Its the crochet one.
ISOM -- Keep your chin up " This time will pass!"

Well I think it has been really quiet on here lately so lets hope its because the weather has been so beautiful and veryone is enjoying themselves
IF NOT --- Lots of gentle thoughts.

Right we have a new regime here so that we can catch up with all the sorting. NO computer between 9.00 and 12.00 so I must go. It is amazing how much more you get done though!
    Lots of love

Wow!! It really is quiet on here-- Done our three hours -- including windows downstairs. So now have to pop to town and then its a bit of hooking! A friend is coming to stay tonight but she will happily watch the football with Mr Chalky!

Mrs Twins--- As I have started a little bit of stitching up of the lovely squares from great people on here I have thought about all your lovely work with SIBOL
    Just a couple of thoughts--
Would it be an idea to make a calendar featuring your favourite 12 blankets. These calendars can be made on the computer and any proceeds could be used for your wool and postage costs.
Secondly, Cards made with pictures of the blankets could be used in a similar way.
    Just a thought
