Morning all - well afternoon anyway!
Been off lie for a few days so just popping in to say "Hi" to everyone and hope that all is going well.
Just had a very late breakfast and morning coffee rolled into one and already I'm set for a nap!
No particular illness beyond the usual, just having a bit of a bleauggghhh day!0 -
Glad to see it`s not just me having duplicate posts .........what`s going on ? I`ve noticed some of the other threads have lots of duplicate post too. Must be a techy problem somewhere.

Good afternoon everyone, a very blustery day here and clouding over now – looks like the rain will be paying a visit after all.
Well, I’m quite pleased with myself having achieved my “target” - 5 completed squares for KAS, two crocheted and 3 knitted. I know it’s a tiny achievement but its helped me get back into knitting with a purpose, so much so that I’m doubling my target for next week – 10 squares.
I’ve had a very busy week – 2 days taxiing one of DS’s friends around trying to buy a car (it does help if you know what you want!!! :rotfl:) another day sorting out problems for DS:eek:, a nice day in the town centre with PamsPal and a day in "Meadowhell" with DS – opticians shoes & clothes (for him not me, I was there to supervise his spending so it was kept to essentials only……:).) Yesterday he surprised me with a nice bottle and some lovely peonies as a thank you for all my efforts – aaaaw!
Elaine, last year I had a lovely show of buttercups growing through some purple wallflower shrubs so I left them for a while as I'd planned to clear that bed anyway - very pretty! They are all flowers & only weeds if they're in the wrong place :rotfl:! That's my excuse, I have an unidentified plant growing just now - should flower next week - then I'll decide what to do with it :j
'bye for now
luv

Well, living in the country is such fun! I've just gone marching through the conservatory with a basket full of washing to hang out and very nearly stepped on a snake! Not one of the cute little snakes that we've rescued from the cat on a couple of occasions, but something that was about three foot long - it wasn't just lying there, either; it was frantically bashing itself against the glass door - which I had left open just a bit - trying to get back out. I'm not scared of snakes but I know there's one deadly one here and I haven't seen it yet, so I wasn't taking any chances. I ran back into the kitchen, slammed the door shut to stop it getting into the house, raced out to tell DH, then we raced round to look through the conservatory from the outside. Well, it was nowhere to be seen so we had to take all the cushions off the two old sofas we have in there, hoping to find it. We've assumed, hopefully, that it found its way back out! I don't think we'll be relaxing in the conservatory for a while!
I'll post this now and see if it duplicates, like some of the others have been doing lately.

Just popping on to try and distract myself as well as say hello of course. In the operation catch up with house and garden I had the freezer defrosting. Wet floors and flip flops dont mix. Tumbled down the step and have now an ice pack on a VERY sore bottom !!
Apart from such stupid antics had Surprise BBQ here yesterday for DD1's partner, lovely day but what a lot of work!!!
Now nearly packed a big box of all the winter knitting from Spain to go to Lou. I love it when its all ready to go. Spanish kniiting group came up trumps again and lots of bits and pieces included in the box from them.
Kathy hope you are feeling better!!
Pam Lovely to see you posting

Hi everyone, hope you are all feeling well today.
Kinsey, so nice of you to do the lion for isom. That’s why I love it so much here, everyone is so kind.
Chalky, lovely pictures, thanks for showing them.
psso, thinking of you and sending gentle thoughts.
Mrstwins, how nice of your husband, helping out with the keeping track side of things. I have a few more squares for you to post next week when I get myself in gear.
Kathy, what a shock. You don’t expect snakes in the house. I hope it did find it’s way out.
Sk, sorry you’ve got problems again with ds2, I hope things improve greatly for you soon.
Chalky, ouch!!!
Managed to get a parcel off to Lou today, been saying I’ll post it for weeks now, and still have some mrstwins squares to send too. I just don’t seem to be getting anything done these days.
Has anyone done any yo yo crochet? I’ve seen some lovely patterns for baby blankets and it uses up even the smallest leftovers. I was wondering if it was difficult to learn.
Hope all the MIA's are ok
Love and hugs to everyone
Lisa
