  • evening all! Well had a lovely day here; met friend for a coffee this morning, then to see my friend in wool shop and had a natter; then to ikea to get a lamp and some candles before my massage. Had my hair cut a few weeks ago and while it was a nice cut it wasnt what I wanted - which was a change and chop! Rang them this morning and said that I had debated going to just have it cut elsewhere but like the salon and wondered if there was anything they could do ... few hours later I have now had all my hair chopped off! Nice and short and quite textured although I have to get used to not doing middle parting as its not meant to have a parting!!
Also got some wool to start sommat for friends baby....going to hunt a pattern out and if I cant find one will use my debbie bliss! My blanket is coming on sloooowly!
May lovely to hear how you are doing...huge hugs and dont feel bad for not posting - we understand!

Jean - I would be in my Lidls on Monday but it's being refurbished; it's going to take three months, and they're not staying open during the work. It'll be the end of March by the time it's re-opened! Perhaps it's just as well!

Will pass all your lovely wishes to Maytaurus, she does try and read the forum each day but sometimes she struggles. Camper photo's tomorrow if the rain holds off.

HAPPYCRAFTER - do the chooks need jumpers? The pattern is on Loving Hands site I knitted some last year for part of the challenge

luckily they aren't too featherless, they look very scruffy and the feathers are rough to the touch. their wattles and crops are very pale compared to my other ones and they look thin and scrawny.

TBH i was thinking they would be even worse and possible not even walking properly. I did have wool ready for chicken coats :rotfl:

morning all -the sun is shining and i am very happy. i have trimmed about 30 lavenders (half my total quota for today) and then moved on to the brambles - gosh, they are sneaky and get everywhere. we have amassed great piles of the stuff to burn on another day (too nice today to spoil it with a whole lot of smoke). another few hours and we will have broken the back - of that patch. there is another patch at the front of our garden that has grown about 3 meters deep! can you believe it - its like a jungle.

not much crochet today, but i will list my totals below so that they can be added to the list.

hope that everyone is well and lots of love to may and all others who i haven't seen for a while.

jean - thanks for the tutorial and the heads up on the wool - i am going to our local lidl next week, so i should be able to pick some up. its just as well as i am running quite low at the moment - i was beginning to unpick some squares to use, but now that i might have some fresh stock ...

kathy - you are so right about grocery shopping being a social - i was very happy when our next door neighbours stopped us in the middle of an isle the other day for a chat - i felt like i was getting my own back on all those other shoppers.

Had a really busy day for some reason but don't seem to have accomplished anything!

Hope you are all well. We've had lovely sunshine here today and blue skies, too!

We've had a laugh in a strange sort of way today! I spoke to my sister. My BIL suddenly felt really ill yesterday and they were all really worried about him. Having improved such a lot over the last couple of weeks, it seemed that he was really going downhill fast. Sis got him to A&E as soon as she could, and he looked so bad he jumped the queue and was seen immediately. Turns out he had trapped wind! He's been on a fat free diet since he was first unwell, and it seems he treated himself to something he shouldn't have eaten - he won't be doing that again! They sorted him out and now he feels really good again. It's great that they can all laugh about it but it must have been very scary at the time.

Anyway, my dismal total this week is: Baby hats - 2.

If I don't get a chance back here today, I'll post in the morning and do the update. Thanks for all your totals! Got to get the dinner on now!
