morning all, could do with going back to bed, i feel so tired, joshua is wearing me out, he had another episode of bad behaviour last night. i'm seeing the lady from youth offending team this morning, so i'm going to be letting her know how things are here.
sorry for offloading my problems here, especially when there are so many others who have much worse things to deal with, ill health etc.
last night i finished the second pair of socks for my friend with the wool stall, and also finished a baby cardigan for LH and two tiny preemie hats.
we have gale force winds in my part of yorkshire, looks miserabler outside, is dark and raining too

    Morning :hello:

Lovely bird pics kathy and jean...I just love looking out of the kitchen window and seeing them in the garden, nothing as exotic as Pheasants and Woodpeckers though, but we do have Robins, Thrushes, Blue tits and Chaffinches and we saw a Wren a couple of weeks ago hopping about in the top border, he was so tiny have never seen him before :)
shaz - I hope all goes well with your meeting today,we have plenty of shoulders here for you if you need to offload so dont appologise x
well done on your first update happycrafter :T off to take a peek at your blog next, thanks for the info on wool in Lidl may just go take a quick peek at that, not that I will buy any ;)
ISOM - how are you feeling today? sounds like you have a lovely weekend planned
mrs-m - fingers crossed for a cancellation, try to take it easy this week(well as easy as you can with a family) and please no more moving furniture:naughty:
anakat - I tend to do an update as I send them off, and I put finished work in a plastic bag,so I dont forget about it
f1 - thank's for mentioning the Island Parish I watched it when it started loved it and promptly forgot the name :o so now I can keep an eye out for it

I did a scarf yesterday for my sister and it knitted up so quickly I was amazed, just 9 stitches and the yarn was called Katia Ondas sort of lacy not the usual type of yarn at all. I will go take a pic and post it so you can see what it's like :)

Sorry to hear things have been difficult again Shaz. Let's hope the meeting this morning is helpful.
We have gale force winds as well, scary through the night, all the noises of banging and squeaking. That sounds rude doesn't it.

Lovely photo mioliere, wouldn't dare take one through a closed window here. Yours too roamin', do you find there's usually two females to one male? Hope the camper is a good one for you.

Pippa we have a wren as well, she nests in the hedge, which is DH's very good excuse for not cutting said hedge. Also a robin that has been here for a few years, very plump and of course sees off any other robin that dares to land. Also a mad eyed blackbird, who struts around trying not to let any other bird get food, they sneak in behind him though. Can you tell I spend quite a lot of time watching them?

Thinking of you maytaurus and mrs MW.

    Lots of love, xxx

Here's the scarf very strange yarn like webbing/netting when its pulled out, but looks better in real life IYKWIM. My sister has a thing about green I think the last one I did was the same colour.

Kinsey - yes I love watching birds too, we have a real old birdbath a friend bought us years ago and all the birds gather every morning in the warmer weather queueing up for a wash and fluff up...we get the bully birds, magpies and wood pidgeons who chase all the little ones off but they soon come back when the big boys have gone ;)

  • Camper is here and surprisingly lovely, can't believe my luck - I was all ready to be really disappointed and I AM NOT, its like driving a mini instead of a double Decker bus, so I can see I will be offskie in it in no time. Got mountains of paperwork to sort out - its a French thing, so shall try not to get too excited just yet!
HAPPYCRAFTER, lovely preemie knitting, oh and thanks for the heads up on the Lidl wool - I posted on Loving Hands so even more knitters will be fighting over it, best you get in early eh.
PIPPA.S - I saw a scarf like that and thought it had been knitted in bandages....not sure where the wool came from - don't think for one minute it was France, well not the shops I haunt anyway.
KINSEY - my wee wren is in the greenhouse......bit of a problem, a couple of the panes of glass got smashed last year (storm/windy) and it moved in....I now really should be evicting it, I have the replacements and loads of seeds that should be getting started but I haven't the heart, so will make a start in the poly tunnel and leave the wee thing alone to have babies come the springtime. There is also a pair of magpies and a jay that scoot around often. Billy Blackie is intimidated by Mrs Betty Blackie, as well as a host of bluetits, coaltits, sparrows and assorted others there are TWO robins who manage to feed at different times. One buzzard (as yet unidentified), and one hooty owl - will really should get shifted, DH is on the case of the owl box..........they all bring me such pleasure I never regret feeding them. Main problem is water in the winter, now just who was it said clay flower pot with a night light under it and the water container over the top..........I totally forgot that one when the snow was on the ground.
Right I am off to do a bit more sewing its the Loving Hands Bags of Love - as I have some spare (HAHA) material and they are really quick and easy to run up. Love and cuddles to you all, not sure when I will get back in - so have a great weekend.
