ISOM - Hope it isn't the cold or the flu for that matter...just try and stay warm and keep the vit C levels up
SHAZ- I shall keep sending positive waves your way, calm and zen and PERHAPS it will actually happen at your house. Pitty I don't know anyone who needs a balerina bunny.
MRS Moneypenny-hang on in there, but do you really need to be shifting all the stuff yourself, deligation could be employed. I am encouraged by the care they are showing you even a cholesterol check - shows they are trying their hardest on your behalf, which is all to the good.
F1-Would you like to share the mojo with me.....lost it most of this week. Oh I am watching Island Parish after reading on LH that Shiela was in an episode...I do keep missing bits tho as the dogs either want out or in.....grrrr, so I shall just ask DS to put the whole series onto DVD for me and then I can see it all in one hit.
THE NEWS IS DH is on his way back from GB with a newer camper for us, he assures me its smaller than the last one so I am away to look it up on line and see just what to expect when he rolls up here with it. Adria Twin if that means anything to anybody sleeps 3 instead of the 6 on the last one, that means it will be hit your head and no room to swing a cat BUT easier to drive down little roads with.
OH regarding birds in the back garden here is the latest to tap on my window....I am used to the wee robin begging food but this is rediculous have named him PHIL the PHEASANT!

Kinsey - pheasant shooting over now (season is 1st October - 1st February)
ISOM - vit C good for colds, have loads and plenty of fluids. Have you considered echinacea? Might help to boost your immunity.
    "Experts believe will help:
    Immunity
    Healing
    Cold Sores
Generally believed to prevent colds and promote healing. Has been shown to as much as double the time between catching flu bouts, and when flu is caught it tends to be less severe.
Another study found it to reduce susceptibility to flu by 33%.
    Can also combat cold sores."
Had forgotton all about "An Islan Parish" thanks for reminding me F1Widow!
Nearly completed all the squares I need for my next blanket - sewing up will be a nightmare so will look up the options in a few books before I start. Haven't decided if I should do edging, might make things more difficult with so many different sized squares to deal with. Also working on a cat blanket in the evenings.
Fingers crossed for a cancellation Mrs MP - so sorry that you have to wait another week.
  • Evening all! Bit of a day today in work so am home feeling a tad battered...thankfully its Friday tomorrow and I have Monday off too! Nice weekend planned seeing 3 good friends, the box set of anne of green gables (which Ive never seen!) and a massage on sat afternoon and knitting group on monday. Im upping my vitamin c and alas cant take ehinacia as it interacts with one of my drugs...feel generally ok and suspect that its delayed effect from last year lingering...think my body just stores it all up and is slowly releasing the tension...getting used to new job etc is stressful so dont worry - all parr for the course me thinks. This too shall pass! One of my collegues was lovely and took a tearful me to starbys for a chai latte! Now on the sofa chilling with tv...cant do angel pockets at the mo as have to be in a very happy place to cope with them if Im honest and not quite there at the mo...
Roaming I am (in the nicest possible way) very envious of your lovely pheasant, robin and also miols woodpecker - cant wait to have a garden and birds!
Hang in there socky! Are there any plans for kids to move and live in supported living environment? May help alter some of the destructive and violent behaviours...hugs for you. Did you get anywhere with the suggested agencies?
Mrs M best that they check it all me thinks. Sorry the dragging feeling there - can recommend a massage for easing back but plan chill time after as you can feel rubbish before you feel good iykwim as it releases toxins. Keep us posted with how you are, scan news etc...
anakat I post my total when somethings finished - which is why my totals are 0 at the moment :(

    Hi everyone

I didn't get on here at all yesterday; we had friends visit in the morning and we were chasing French red tape (again!) in the afternoon. As always, the time just slipped away.

Maytaurus and Mrs MW - thinking of you both.

Sock-knitter - thinking of you and hoping that life gets less challenging for you.

Mrs Moneypenny - thinking of you at this really stressful time. HOpe you manage to get a relaxing weekend.

ISOM - have added you as a friend on FB so that you can, hopefully, see Chalky's great photos! HOpe you're feeling less 'tattered' now! I echo Seakay and recommend Vit C, especially via fresh fruit and veg. Do yo get the 'flu jab?

As promised, here is the photo of 'my' woodpecker! I took a few but this is the only one that shows him fully - as you can see, it's been taken through two (not so clean!) windows (the kitchen and the conservatory).

    blogphotos332.jpg

Jean - I see you have a very classy pheasant! Not sure how tasty woodpecker would be! Would love to see a photo of your new camper! I hope you like it and that your DH has bought wisely!

Kinsey - I was only able to take photos because he kept coming back. Usually, by the time I've found my camera, I miss what I wanted to photograph! I was very lucky this time!

I am still crocheting things for the new baby, and have started another batch of baby hats for LH; I hope to get some decent spare woolly time over the weekend for a change, although DH , having almost finished grouting the tiles in the hall, will be plastering the bedroom ceiling that he plasterboarded last week, so I will no doubt be bucket-washing (yawn!).

Well, I am now off to put the kettle on and look at Happycrafter's blog!

    See you all later.
