Hi everyone. hope you are keeping nice and cosy indoors with the woolly stuff. It`s freezing here although the sun was shining earlier it wasn`t warm enough to melt the frost on the cars.

Been suffering with a dodgy hip / knee this week. Woke up Monday and went to get out of bed - ouch. No idea what happened but been hobbling around for last few days. Spoke to Dr and he advised painkillers and gentle exercise - exactly what I`d been doing :p fat lot of help he was.
DS is probably more accurate with his diagnosis - Old age Mum - cheeky young beggar.

Thanks for the birthday wishes by the way, much appreciated.
Had a lovely afternoon with some of the family and taken out for carvery dinner at night with other family members.
Beautiful flowers, chocolates, 2 books (and Maltesers but don`t tell Jean);)

Took part in the LH online coffee morning this a.m. to launch the new challenge.

Get your old fur coats out girls and cut `em up for the donkeys :)
or your furry cushions might need replacing.
Some good stashbusting ideas - blankets for people and animals could use up a lot of my `bits` bag - if I can find enough hours in the day to knit them.

Will have to go now, can`t sit too long - or stand too long - or lie down too long..................have to learn to knit standing on my head I think :(.

    Have a good evening.

    Elaine.

    Hi everyone

First chance I've had to come on here today. We had to call on friends this morning to help them out of a difficult situation, and half the day just disappeared. While we were out I suddenly remembered that Jean had mentioned the LH coffee morning, and I was going to see if I could get logged in. Anyway, I missed it but I'm sure it will be OK if I still donate the £2.50, won't it?

F1 - I think it would be easier to list your hats under one title if it's OK with Jean? I hope you're feeling a bitter more 'up' now? I don't think the long winter days help, do they? Glad you acquired some new wool.

Jean - hope the day has gone well for you.

Thanks, everyone, for your updates - I'll add them to our lovely new spreadsheet tomorrow!

I will add my 5 baby hats
    5 pairs booties

Hope you all have a good evening.

Blimey, 4pm and no-one been on yet !!
Is everyone hibernating or just busy busy ?

Cold and raw here today so definitely a stay in by the fire day with the knitting of course.
Started a hat with the jazzy coloured wool I did the oxfam jumper with - hope there`s enough to finish it `cos it would look even jazzier if I tried adding other coloured stripes

Will call back later to see if anyone else pops in.

    Hi everyone

The latest update is on my b**g (which you'll find by clicking into my name at the side of this post, then going to my 'homepage'). Thanks, again, to Jean for all your hard work on the lovely spreadsheet, and thanks to you all for your great totals! On the b**g, I've copied and pasted the 'What We Do' info from my post number 1885 on page 95 of this thread, so that newbies and lurkers can find it!

Hope you are all having a good day and that it's warmer where you are than it is here!

Afternoon all. Sittiong here muffled up as though about to go outside and still cold! Still, guttering has been fixed and wall repointed so hopefully no more leaking wall.
Love the new spreadsheet - great work! Next week I'll try and remember to post my update at the right time.
Thanks for the new pics Mrs Twins - very admiring of all your hard work. Do you do your edgings in double crochet or tripple, and do you crochet squares together or sew them? I only ask because I nearly at the sewing up stage for the lap blanket I'm making for Romania.
Love to all and hope you're keeping well and not getting too gloomy in these cold dark days.

Me here....I have been a wee bit busy and not allowed to go far incase DH rings. So occupied myself with the spready...think that the colours could change weekly, love the idea that it can all be jazzed up.
F1 - hope you are on the UP?
Mrs Moneypenny they always say its always darkest before the dawn...so fingers are still crossed for you to have a happy outcome.
Mrs Twins - I visited your blag and guessed a total of 50 blankets for the latest spreadsheet, if its wrong can you let us know and Kathy can go in and fix it for you?
Off to start some soup - cold enough here too, keep safe and keep warm
