    Afternoon all!
Hope chemo goes well MrsW and that the tabs helped to keep you calm.
Sorry to hear of your further probs Shaz, do wish that i could think of some different advice to help but I'm sure ISOM will have something for you.
Fingers crossed for your BIL and sister Moliere, and hpe the latest phase of building goes well.
Have finally arranged for front of house to be fixed up - guttering replaced, paint rubbed down and redone, pointing repaired. Hopefully this will mean that water stops leaking into my bedroom (which will have to be repapered and redecorated at some point which is infuriating as it is the only bedroom that has been decorated!) Am now exhausted even all I had to do was point!
If the work is done well I will see if I can save up to have the back done, and long term the inside.
ISOM - had to be Wellfield Rd way so got list for knitting club and transferred it to diary and even remembered to get new crochet hook so can start doing cat blanket again. Not as lovely as yours, PippaS as can only manage enlarged granny square, but ok for cats!
  • Evening all! Just home from another long day with much driving so an evening of mindless tv for me! That blanket looks delicious Pippa and Im sure a puss cat mummy or daddy will love it - very funkier and waaay better than mine ever are lol! Im on the last 6 rows of baby blanket and may see if I can crochet a baby hat for charity then its a pair of booties for friends baby due soon! Think its loving hands next challenges soon so will see if I can find owt!
Great that you have the dates seakay...sorry youve had flooding - looks exhauting even if you did just have to point! Have been useless myself as still tired after work but at least no more happy pills which feels like an achievement.
I have emailed socky some info and being honest like to be careful what I post publically.Hope it was of use socky? How are things going?
Aww Mrs MW bound to be scary...have you been given any Marie Curie or McMillan info - if not try and get in touch - so often they can provide the much needed emotional support. The c word in itself conjours up all sorts of images, never mind facing the reality. Please let us know if we can do anything and if you want me to hunt out local sources of support let me know and Ill hunt for you! Nice to be able to do sommat to helo and Im sure you have zero energy or concentration so please take me up on it if it would help. how was the diazepam? I found they made me sleep till midday but did help with the anxiety but swapped to another tablet which didnt wash me out as much...

    Hi all

Been another cold and dull day here, don't you just hate January it's always such a drab month, but never mind Spring is just around the corner :D

Thank you for the comments on the cat blankets :o they are'nt difficult but they look effective, the stripey one is corner to corner, and the other is 4 x 10" corner to corner squares sewn together, both done with odd balls of doubled up DK, on 5mm needles which seems to work well, and it grows quickly ;)

My neice has asked me to do a Where's Wally red and white stripey jumper and hat for her DS, no rush she said World Book Day is'nt until March, he loves the books and decided he wants to be Wally as his book character. So it's Auntie Anne to the rescue with needles poised ready to go...just one problem no red wool  so I suppose I will just have to go and buy some ;) :rotfl:

mrs-moneypenny - hope all goes well with the scan tomorrow x
ISOM - blankets are on the way posted this AM :)
seakay - sounds like you will have your hands full with all the building repairs, worth it though
f1 - sorry no mojo here, hope you're feeling a bit better after your cuppa, well done finishing the poncho

If anyone speaks to Chalky on facebook will you say hello from me please :D
welcome to you Apollonia nice to see you :) thanks for the links will have a look at them later .

Off for a shower now see you all tomorrow

mrs mp good luck for tomorrow, hope all goes well.
    Mrs MW thinking of you.
ISOM sounds like you're working very hard, and can understand you don't want to post certain things on an open forum. I hope your pm helped Shaz though, very worried about her. I'm trying to do some cat blankets but life tends to interrupt!

    Love to everyone xxx
