Hi
2011 well underway already lol.
Wish everyone on here a blessed and prosperous 2011. May the year bring for you all you would want it to :-)
Just got in from having to take a panicked daughter into college. She over slpet. Sounded like the stairs were caving in when she ran down them. Wonder she didn't trip and hurt herself !!!!! She charged into the kitchen 15mins before needing to be there, and it takes 20mins to get there. ANyway. I got her there 10 mins later than she should have been, had a text from her saying the register hadn't been taken, so she was ok lol.
Did my shopping after. Wow it's cold out there. The wind is really biting.
Started of yet another pair of fingerless gloves with a mitt cap. Going to give them as a gift to someone I know. Her birthdays on the 7th, so not qquite going to get them to her on time, but hopefully won't be too long after :-)
I'm now enjoying a nice cup of black coffee and I finished off a small (yes, small) piece of homemade cake :-)
Have a blessed and prosperous day. Hugs to all in need ((((hugs)))) Love you all.

Sorry me again! Just wanted to pass on email from cat charity that people did the blankets for. As they were our first batch I wanted to check they were ok so here is the response!
"Please tell the troops they are fab.....and a lovely size to fit in a cat basket! We do appreciate them, even if the cats don't!
As always, we're full with a waiting list! But we have re-homed quite a few cats over the last couple of weeks! And we still have kittens...mad or what!? Hopefully we might have a break before kitten season starts this year!!
Please pass on our thanks and looking forward to the next batch!"
So there ya go efforts gratefully received and keep em coming! Any new people who dont know the blankets are double thick wool 20 inches square or in diameter (approx!) for cat charity in Bristol who foster cats rather than having them in cages. They were lovely when we had to rehome mums two cats (who used to me mine) last year when she became ill...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Hi everyone. Where does the time go? I haven't stopped today what with one thing and another, and will hopefully sit down in a minute and start a Mrs Twins square (a square from the Jan Eaton book for one of her challenges).
ISOM - hope you're feeling a lot better now. Have you had a flu jab this year? If not, it might be something to consider in the future. They definitely work for me. I've also had the pneumonia jab which, apparently, gives life-long protection, so well worth having. When I've finished the square I'm doing, I'll do another cat blanket - I've found some chunky and the cat blankets are a good way of using it up! Thanks for the link, by the way.
Mrs Twins - I loved that link to the knitted house! Thanks for sharing it with us.
Salome - glad that DD wasn't too late getting there this morning!
jean - I've pm'd Linedancerann about her totals but haven't heard back yet. Hope you are finding time to rest!
Well, it's cold, wet and windy and has been all day. Will spring ever arrive!
Have a great evening!

ISOM hope you feel better soon, but sorry to tell you it sounds like the bug I got on christmas day and it's still hanging around. Feel better one day and yuck again the next. The temperature is useful in this weather though!
Interesting email from cat charity, you wouldn't think there'd still be a 'kitten season' in this day and age would you.
mioliere I'm with you on wishing for spring, perhaps it will come early this year.
mrs Twins love the link to the knitted house.
Hope everyone is ok, lots of love. xxx0 -
Hi
Mrs Twins My mum did some of the knitting on the house. She did some of the bricks, and the black strip along the bottom (I think it was for the bottom lol) The lady who organised it goes in to do communion in the home where my dad is. She's ever so nice. The house is in the Heritage Centre in my town (Calne) :-)
Isom Hope you get better soon. Poor you :-(
I'm hoping to get on with my gloves later. Supposed to be a birthday present for which the birthday is today !!!! I've only get about 6 rows of ribbing on the firts one done, and that's it. lol. I did tell the future owner that pressie was on the way. Just hope she isn't thinking it's only going to be a couple of days :-) lol.
Have a blessed and prosperous day. Hugs to all in need ((((hugs)))) Love you all.
