    Afternoon all

Had a sad day went to the cemetry as OH had a phone call to say the plaque was ready and in place so we went over to see it....it was really sad seeing both FIL and MIL's names on there, but all is as she wanted so thats good.
It was a difficult Christmas without MIL after over 30years of Christmas day's with her, we all really missed her

mrs-moneypenny - Glad you are enjoying 'Divas dont Knit' and 'Needles and Pearls' I loved the 2 'Friday night knitting club' ones you sent me.
Mum has them now, if anyone wants them when she has read them just let me know :)

f1 - I know what you mean I started a massive declutter, beginning with the bottom of the wardrobe...but that's as far as it got, as usual I got side-tracked :o I have decided to go right through the house and get rid of anything I don't need, well thats the intention anyway ;)
ISOM - glad to hear ISOKI has'nt managed to eat:eek: Gaspar
kathy - home in march :jhow lovely and its not too long to wait it will be here in no time, gives you time for knitting/crochet more pressies :D
may - lovely to see you
Shelley - nice to see you back:T I'll do some sets of ties for you, I also have a lot of used stamps, let me know if you still want them and I will send them all together :)

OH wants another hat said his ears get cold, I think its the polo haircut that gets it really :rotfl::rotfl: he left the last one over at DS2's last week so thats my job for tonight ;)

Time for T and the last slice of Christmas cake, have good days all and keep warm it's freezing here again.

i was supposed to be putting the decortations away but the landing is piled with assorted christmas tat and ive sat reading so ive now finished and throughly enjoyed needles and pearls, so shout up if you want to read them next.

pippa thank you so much for letting me read them, i wish there was a shop like those in 'friday night knitting club' or 'divas dont knit'.

havent started dismantling the tree yet but id better get up in the attic and clear the landing if i want the house to look like somethings happened in it since DH went to work this morning:rotfl:.

got loads of ufo's to sew up as well now i know lou is up for recieving boxes at the end of the month.

    Hi everyone

I'm sending special hugs to Mrs Moneypenny, Pippa, and Shezmit - the first Christmas without loved ones is so hard. It's been a sad time for you all. Pippa - yesterday must have been difficult, too.

Mrs Moneypenny - I hope you are feeling better now.

Mrs MW - thinking of you.

Maytaurus - hope life is not too challenging for you.

Well, I've been busy clearing up after all the plastering - doesn't matter what job it is, the dust fall-out is the biggest problem for me. I love it when it's all gone - until the next lot, that is!

It's been cold here but we've had some sun. DH has been working on the roof tiles because he could see from the ground that some of them have slipped, so we need to avoid leaks before the next lot of rain, not afterwards!

I've not done any crochet for the last couple of evenings because we've been Skyped a lot by the family, which has been lovely. Little Summer now says 'Nanny' and 'Granddad' as soon as she sees us on screen, which is heart-melting for me. She is changing all the time and is just completely gorgeous. Her mum is getting very big now and, to my mind, she looks further on than six months, although she's sure of her dates. A big baby, maybe!

Pippa - as you say, it's not long until March, especially now that we are already into 2011.

Well, I'd better get on with the dusting. Once the house has had a good going over, I will get my time more organised and be able to get more crochet done. As for reading, I only get the chance to read just before I go to sleep, so I need to put that right, too. Our new book club starts on the 11th, so I'm looking forward to that, and then there's the farm tearoom. Now that Christmas has come and gone, they want to see how it goes at the weekends, then sort out proper opening hours. I would be happy with a couple of days a week there; extra pennies and a change from helping DH with the boring stuff here!

Well, the kettle has just boiled so I'm off for a cuppa.

Evening all...sorry been awol...feeling decidedly bleugh with flu like symptoms, dreaded hormones...took and extra days leave today as was meant to go back this morning but with virtually no sleep just couldnt muster the oomph...may be change to healthier diet but feeling shivvery so suspect that the cold ive been trying to put off is here...Done a couple of rows of blanket but thats it which is pathetic bearing in mind Ive not been out lol!
Lovely to see some other awols about and sorry that last year was so tough for many. Despite knowing its what they want in terms of wishes doesent take away from missing people we love does it eh! Always make me realise how we should cherish those around us ...
Have to say Im looking forward to returning to some kind of normality...I love Christmas but am a settled old home bird at heart! Isoke not yet managed to eat gaspar but still trying! Less energetically than before though!
Big hugs to all...promise to do better this year!

Morning all - hope everyone is well - sorry to hear that christmas has been difficult for some - hugs xxx

mrs m - good to hear you are getting sorted - nice satisfying feeling xxx

Well Ive made a start - all my stash came out this morning its been sorted into colours in carrier bags in my storage boxes and all weighed and I am ashamed to say I have 7700g of wool !!!! odds and ends and full balls OMG! I have a problem - so over on LH i have set my ticker for 77 balls of wool to be used ie 77 x 100g

I also have set my own personal challenge this year - as I am 39ish this year (well I think you know what I mean!) I decided before xmas to make 40 particular items to give to my own personal choice - so it will be 40 hats for homeless people in my area - I also will be trying to do 40 preemie hats for both Shezmit and LH - by saying it publicly I will have to do it now!!!:D

Anyway onwards 'cos if I stop here much longer i will not get on while Im in the mood - hugs to all - have a good day J xxx

PS DS back to school today - few tears before he left - lots of tears from me after he had gone! Although its nice to get on without him around I am missing him xxx
