psso I'm with you all the way. How did you get the bits off the clothes?0

Held them over the wheelie bin and attacked them with a good stiff brush. :rotfl:
That seemed to get most of the stuff off anyway. They`ve been through a normal wash again and in the tumble dryer now so fingers crossed that the machinery survives.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

hi there all
kathy, thank you, yes, i did get your pm -VERY HELPFUL, thank you. sorry that i have not called yet, but i seem to be busy all the time here. at the moment driving here and there getting things sorted and with the roads around here being icy and with no barriers on the sides, if i go off, its a very long way down to the bottom.
have not been doing any crocheting over the last few days as i have had a bit of a puzzle on my hands. our neighbour would like a triangular shawl. she has one that her mum made years and years ago (crochet) and she would like another just like it, however, i cannon work out how to do the stitch. its a sort of sideways shell and it is obvious that the shawl is started at the bottom and worked up to the point - anyone have any clues?
anyway, i hope that everyone is well - i am sitting in front of the fire trying to warm up after a morning of searching for a non-existent light maker/aritisan who has done some work for a friend of ours and has now disappeared. anyway, i must go and so stuff.
have a lovely rest of the day everyone

hi again everyone
am sitting in front of the fire with my laptop and am loving it - its soooo warm. the hot water bottles are in bed already warming up my pjs so i am very happy.
isom - thanks for the pattern, will show it to my neighbour, janine and see if it is what she is looking for. sorry to hear that you are so cold and the sinuses are giving you problems - not nice at all. those cheap furry boots are good at warming your feet, i know i had a pair, but dont forget to use socks with them as they do get a little smelly after a while - not that that is a bad price to pay for warm feet. the roads in greece are exactly like the roads here, the only difference is that we would kill a whole herd of cows if we tumbled down.
hope everyone is okay - socky, hope things are going okay at yours.
chalky sounds like you had a good day.
have a good evening

Hi everyone.
ISOM - hope your sinuses are feeling better. As for the mouth guard, if you find it difficult to trim, ask your dentist to do it. If it doesn't fit properly, it could make your migraines worse, and that's the last thing you want. As for the farm, we visited on Saturday to get stocked up on meat and everything was fine. The owners were still exhausted from the hard work the week before. As DH seems to have deleted the photos on I took of the big day there (yes, I was mad enough to let him use the camera to take photos of boring roof rafters!) I shall take some more a bit later in the week. We've been invited up there for lunch on a day when the shop is closed; it's something we're looking forward to very much.
Chalky - definitely a good idea to have left the heating on in the UK house! It will keep the water pipes warm. Loved seeing the photos of your luvvies and hearties on Wooligans; you must have quite a gang now! Are they all getting names like your hedgies?
Mrs Twins - SIBOL number 43?! That's amazing! Well done on such a fantastic achievement - they all look really gorgeous!
Shaz - hope you have a good day today.
Well, today BIL arrives to finish off our plumbing. It will have been a long day for him - he lives near Montpelier, so he will have been driving for about seven hours. He and DH are very close so it will be great for them to get together.
DPixie - I must admit I didn't know how cold France could be in the winter! It makes me laugh nowadays when I hear people say they want to move to France for a better climate!
Well, I think I'll go and put the kettle on again. I woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep once I'd started thinking about a cuppa.
Have a great day, everyone, and hugs to those in need.

Evening to one and all --- I hope somehow you are all managing to keep warm-- It looks absolutely freezing! It is pouring with rain here so at least you need not envisage us in the sunshine! The rain makes the Tv pixellate so that is a challenge -- only a very small one to be fair!
Still knitting the skittles games.
Love and gentle thoughts to all xTry and do a good deed every day.0
